Because instructions on this forum are confusing for I-485. This point was tripping me off.

When I asked specifically if people who recently went through K1 to AOS recently, they would have clarified it. Veteran members have probably gone through different route and multiple different steps after that to have this particular step much older. Making me confused even more. That's classic example of shoot the messenger (or questionnaire) rather than nicely asking when my question did not provide you clear picture on my circumstance. And this is most certainly not the unique circumstance since forum is full of K1 visa timelines and progresses.

Correct. If your K-1 medical is complete, you do not need an I-693 if you file your AOS within a year after the medical. If you have a copy of the DS-3025, you can include that in your packet (make sure to keep a copy as well). If you receive a request to bring an I-693 to your interview, bring the DS-3025 and the I-693 instructions to clarify that you should not need to redo your medical.

They said medical is valid for a year. But I keep reading about partial I-693. Anyways don't need to sound rude, but I expect only messages from people who did K1-AOS, or experts who know full details. But I am getting comments from people all around, eventhough it is AOS from K1 and K3

This sounds much better. The medical records from panel physician in India does not anywhere say incomplete or anything. So I am assuming I should proceed with applying without any additional I-693?

Are you kidding me? Do you understand the K1-AOS process?
The medical exam for K1 is still supposed to be valid. They are not required to do full exam. Just a portion of I-693 needs to be filled. And no, it's not justified to charge that much for it.

If you completed your K-1 medical and the DS-3025 was signed off as complete, and you filed your AOS within a year after doing the K-1 medical, you do not need an I-693. This is very clearly explained in the I-693 instructions, on pages 7 and 8 (https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/i-693instr.pdf).

So either your K-1 medical was incomplete, not properly signed off, you filed your AOS very late, or whoever told you that you need an I-693 is wrong. It is generally recommended to make sure to complete the K-1 medical to avoid having to redo the medical in the US. There are only a few cases where it would make sense to not complete the K-1 medical (for example, postponing certain vaccinations due to pregnancy).

For the record, I did the K-1 and AOS. But everyone else here also understands this process. It is not that complicated and the instructions are very clear.

    K3 is obsolete
    I go by USCIS rules
When i applied for K1 ,  I read and reread the K1 procedure
In 2021 the I 693 was extended but now in 2023 its back to the old ways

    https://www.uscis.gov/newsroom/alerts/uscis-temporarily-extending-validity-period-of-form-i-693

The civil surgeon’s signature is dated no more than 60 days before the applicant filed Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status; If you are applying for adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident with USCIS (also known as applying for a Green Card), please file Form I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record, together with Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. Doing so may eliminate the need for us to issue a Request for Evidence (RFE) and helps avoid adjudication delays.

Long story and I did not need it but I was young and ignorant and got it done for no charge, maybe look for Civil Surgeons who serve the Hispanic community.

So in your case you had your K1 medical and did not have a complete vaccination done and elected to complete them in the US.

Generally this is a mistake, there can obviously be situations where this arises and it is what it is but they are pretty rare.

So being in that situation you have the main issue, CS's who will not do only the I 693 and only a few it seems will. Plus of course you need someone local. Then you need that they will do it and how much they charge.

As far as a list sadly not really practical.

    Civil Surgeons come and go
Their charging structure and practices change
This is a rare situation and as I mentioned best avoided
VJ simply does not have enough members, people in this situation, for such a database.
Really only USCIS could do this, incorporate it in their database.

I assume it has been less than 76 days since your beneficiary entered the US with K1 visa?  For those applying for SSN as K1 visa holder, select "Legal alien allowed to work".  (Note that the authorization to work requires having a valid EAD, not just SSN.)  Refer to this page from the SSA manual -- https://secure.ssa.gov/apps10/poms.nsf/lnx/0110211530

For the SSA appointment, bring the passport with K1 visa and a print-out of the I-94 online record showing admission as K1 -- https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/recent-search
