Got an interview appointment date (woaaah!) My completion estimate was set to February 2020, today I got a notification that they scheduled me for interview and testing. I’m like whaaaat? My biometrics was done 8/7 which is like less than a week ago. My case was transferred to Fort Smith, AR office from St Paul, MN (moving to another state based on spouse’s military orders). Interview date is not yet available in my documents but guys, this is moving so fast. I think the completion date may just be a rough estimate after all. There is a silver lining!

Hey everyone, great to see plenty of updates here on cases. I've been absent for a week as I was in Europe. Some challenges in Italy with traveling on the extension letter but all was eventually sorted. It does give me and my wife some anxiety traveling like this, though, and hope the next time I'll be traveling on a non-expired green card. Let me get to all the updates now!

Here is an updated tracking timeline for everyone.  Still not a great deal of movement for the Vermont filers but California is now at over 60% approved.
 
Have any of those who have been transferred had any further action on their cases? I get the feeling our cases are going to be dormant for a while.

Yay, Great News!! I receive a mail from USCIS Saturday and got an Approval notice dated 3/5/2019.
 
The weird thing is I didn’t receive any text or email about the approval. I checked the new USCIS case status its still “case was received”

Yes, it's possible, I suppose. When I renewed mine here in Texas last year and used my green card (which was expiring this April) they still renewed for 5 years. Weird how State to State it differs.

They still have to process our applications in full, review all of our submitted information and possibly request an interview. We are a ways from that point now, probably 10-14 months away based on the activity of other filers from last year. We are also not out of the woods yet in terms of RFE/RFIEs, either. So definitely some caution at this stage not too get overly excited. Progress is good, especially when it was looking so bleak for us Cali filers, but there's a way to go yet... the "current" reality is that most of us will be up for citizenship before we even get our 10-year GCs.

It's awesome that so many VSC filers are getting their appointment letters! I'm happy for you guys
 
I was browsing on the December 2017 and January 2018 filer threads and what I'm really struck by is how suddenly the biometric letters just cut off. CSC was actually sending them out really quickly at the beginning of December, but it gets to around 12/20 and they just stop. Not a single January filer has received one either. Some of the December CSC filers were saying they'd received notification that their cases have been transferred, so I'm wondering if at this point, CSC isn't processing cases at all, and is just working on transferring them because of their backlog.
 
Hey, I have to fill my time with some kind of idle speculation during this 17.5 to 19 month wait, right?  

Your NOA should be right around the corner. We've actually had some instances where NOAs have been received before checks have been cashed.

1. Yes, the embasssy will set it up, visa applicants do not pick their own date in Singapore.
2. Once the embassy receives your casefile, they will mail out packet 3, containing visa instructions -- see the attachments in the first post -- to your fiance. She will have to follow the instructions and return some documents to them via mail. Only after that will they send her packet 4, which contains the interview date.
3. It really depends. The "typical" wait is around a month after returning the documents to the embassy. Sometimes earlier slots open up and the embassy will call to ask if you want to take them. You can always ask for a later date though.

When is the Notice date on your NOA1? Ours got the Notice date of March 12, got the hardcopy March 16 and I cant check our case status. And by the way we are in CSC..
