As expected, whenever a hardliner rule was set out to curb legal immigrants. You can see a bunch of elite members here who are done or almost done with their journey, gathering and chanting the rule is reasonable. I'm not going to reply or read any of you people replies, so don't waste your time. This forum is used to be good and filled with tolerant members, now it became a favorite gathering place of Trump's cult. Excuse for my bad English, I'm not from your 1st countries.

Mine, in Seattle, was 1.5 hours from going into the District Office, going over the N-445 with an officer, attending the ceremony, registering to vote and leaving the building. YMMV.

    Hi all,

I thought I'd share the final chapter of my immigration journey with you, since I've received nothing but the best of help here over the many years!

I arrived at 12:55 for my 1:30 ceremony and was immediately directed to the second floor. I had to wait at this point, so we took seats on the right hand side. At around 1:25 a lovely gentleman came out and asked which of us seated was here for the oath ceremony. The folks there for an interview then had to switch sides with us. We, the soon-to-be citizens, then had to form two orderly lines while our friends and family made their way down to the auditorium first. When called up, I provided my completed N-445. He asked about the traffic ticket, so I provided it alongside the proof of payment. He simply noted it as a traffic citation on the N-445 and that was that. I was given my package and told to make my way to seat 25 downstairs. After I was seated, the ceremony quickly begun. We watched a welcome video, sung the national anthem and were asked to remain standing to take the oath. Then the supervisor of the district office took the stage, asked us to repeat the oath line-by-line after her, then welcomed us officially as US citizens. There was then two more videos; one from President Donald Trump and one set to a different interpretation of a well-known American anthem. That was that! Took some photos and registered to vote. Doing the passport tomorrow. All is finally over.
My welcome package contained a letter from President Trump on very nice embossed paper, a guide, a certificate holder, a flag and the words to the anthem and pledge of allegiance. It was a wonderful experience by happy USCIS staff and I couldn't feel prouder to end my journey in this way.

Thank you all! I shall do my best to repay your kindness by continuing to answer other people's questions to the very best of my ability.

I attended my oath ceremony at the Seattle District Office this afternoon. Very glad to say that I'm now a US citizen, wrote a more detailed report here:

It was painless, pleasant and an altogether enjoyable experience!

I would assume the 5 year rule applies if your wife became a US citizen in 2019.

How did you acquired your 10 year green card? Here's is what written on the n-400 application under 3 years rule (married to a US citizem)

Have been a lawful permanent resident of the United States for at least 3 years. In addition, you have been married to and living with the same U.S. citizen spouse for the last 3 years, and your spouse has been a U.S. citizen for the last 3 years at the time you filed your Form N-400.

These numbers are absolutely meaningless. Mine states that October 2019 is the completion date, yet I have the oath ceremony in less than a week's time. I would pay absolutely no attention to their ETAs and instead wait on the updates which will naturally be provided to you when your case is reviewed.

I am not saying USC's are alone in trying to mess with their partners. But if you're here on VJ long enough you start to notice a pattern with some USC's. They moan and whine about how it should be their right to bring their spouse or future spouse over and the government shouldn't intervene. Then they're upset when they realize the marriage is going south and suddenly all blame is on the foreigner and how the government should be better at keeping these people out... Hello! You spent all this time convincing the government you're a bona fide relationship so you could bring them over...

So? Don't be vindictive. I had a vindictive parent so I have first hand experience that it's horrible for children.
We are hearing ONE side of the story. With one response since the original post. If there is proof, they can choose to do something about it; but don't do it because you're upset your life didn't work out and think about the impact on your children.
I enjoy when USCs get butthurt about other USCs generalizing USCs.
    Back to topic.

Because a very large amount of USC's are nothing but spoiled children walking around in an adults body. Lot's of special snowflakes yanno.

I was told in no uncertain terms by an IO back in the day that "Without a joint bank account, joint loan or joint automobile purchase it screams that you aren't really in this properly". Crazy, right? Unfortunately, as others have said, financial co-mingling is extremely important for the RoC.
That being said... getting an RFE is actually a positive sign, because it means they are working on your application. If you send as much in as you can, and I mean really overwhelm them with as much as you can find, chances are you'll find an approval winging its way to you over the next month or so. Worse case scenario? They'll suss you both out in an interview.

You may be asking in the wrong forum -- this is for removing conditions on permanent residency after 2 years. Sounds as though you entered on a CR-1/IR-1 visa?
Regardless, you can always call USCIS and ask what's going on. You should have received an I-551 stamp in your passport, which serves as a temporary Green Card in the interim.

What is interesting is that there doesn't even seem to be consistency in process within individual states.
For example: while living in the DFW metroplex, I was good friends with another 2-yr GC holder who happened to work in the same building I did. We applied for our licenses at roughly the same time (early 2014). In fact, we went merely days apart to the local office to apply for the license and take the driving test (behind the wheel test).
We both passed, I received a fully fledged driver's license valid for the full 6 years. He only received a driver's license valid until the expiration date of his 2-yr GC.
    No clue!
