Nathan&Cata reacted to JeanneAdil in Evidence for parents interview
Embassy dependent
as some want the originals
but now, its almost impossible to get anything from IRS
IRS is saying they are way behind in processing tax returns and other requests
i would print out this page to take to interview announcing IRS issues
https://www.awesome1009.com/2022/01/11/irs-says-processing-backlogs-will-likely-delay-refunds-due-to-staffing-shortages/
The Internal Revenue Service said on Monday that acute staffing shortages will likely delay tax refunds and other services this year as the agency prepares for the 2022 tax filing season, which will begin on January 24.

No one but the IRS has the "originals" of transcripts. A printed copy of the downloaded transcript is fine for the interview.

You should have presented that document with the petition showing your birth certiifcate to show names of mother and father and your name as the child

Visa for parents is IR5. Please clarify what your mom's visa category is. Also, are you the petitioner?

found this list for IR5 for parents
BTW each parent needs 2 passport photos
A valid passport for more than 6 months after your planned entry into America A signed I-864 (Affidavit of Support form from the U.S petitioner) The confirmation page of the DS-260 form Medical examination and vaccination documents A valid birth certificate which proves the relationship between the applicant and the U.S citizen Two photographs (according to U.S Visa photograph requirements) for each individual who wants to apply for the IR5 Visa Any court and criminal records and/or police certificate If the applicant has ever served in the military, they must bring their military records -

I think that’s generic for family based petitions.

Nathan&Cata reacted to DarkKiss in Evidence for parents interview
That is a form letter that is basically sent to all applicants. No worries!

if family based visa the documents will be the originals of NVC submitted documents
Before 4/15/22 u will use 2020 income 2021 is not needed till after 4 /15/ 2022
If you can get a letter from employer with hire dates and saying current income (along with last pay stub which shows year to date gross pay YTD), it would be helpful
the list of needed documents should have been sent with notice of interview
If tourist visa documents will be proof of property ownership, job, birth certificate, Passport and National ID (if there is one) with English translations of documents
USCIS has a list of needed documents per visa type

Nathan&Cata reacted to Calicolom in Selfemploy without W2 and 1099
I never send W-2 or 1099 for either my wife or my stepson. Tax transcripts and copy of tax return 1040 worked every time.

Nathan&Cata got a reaction from assila in I need help with I-864 and financial documenets
Thanks. I am trying to get the IRS taxes but they blocked me for 24 hours because I couldn't prove my identity.
Yeah, I am going to use my husband as a join sponsor.
Do you think I need to submit W2s for all the three years or just for the last year? Do I need more evidence?

Nathan&Cata got a reaction from TBoneTX in Do we need apostilles from the USA?
I know I had disappeared, but I want to thank to everyone who took their time to answer my questions. I just want to update you guys about how we are doing.
Well, we got married here in Colombia at the notary and then at a christian church to get God's blessing. We are happily married. We just came from Bogota last week getting my husband's TP_10 Visa (a Residence Visa) and he'll get this week his foreigner ID to be able to work here. He found a job as an English teacher and will start working soon.
About moving back to America, we have decided that we don't want to wait a long time to have kids and we think America would be a nice place to raise them, but since I am pretty busy with my school we want to wait for this semester to be over to start the paper work... We are just reading around to see how that process is because we don't know much about it... I hope when the time comes you guys are willing to help and guide us.....

Nathan&Cata reacted to Pheebs1201 in HELP !!! I-129F PACKAGE
As long as you have physically met at some point in the past two years, relationship duration shouldn't be an issue.
Can you screen shot your facetime history? showing calls made to each other and the duration? If so, do this for different dates throughout your relationship and submit them. Other evidence can include the evidence that he purchased a plane ticket to visit you, entry/exit stamps on his passport, photos of you together, copies of any letters or cards you two have sent one and other etc etc
If you have any red flags then perhaps a lawyer is required, but if it's a fairly simple case then there is more than enough guidance on VJ to help you with the process!
If you have any further questions I would recommend starting your own thread as you will get more responses.
Lastly, they are your friend!
Good luck!
