  2. Everything with the NVC is done with a phone and email except for mailing the packages. Nothing will be sent to your UK address unless you make zero effort to contact the NVC yourself.

You still need to return back to the UK for your medical and interview, but I'm sure you knew that. :)

thanks!! exactly what i needed to know :)

  3. YEs you can call some one to see if your NOA2 arrive. You do not need the physical letters of the NOA2 from the USCIS. If you are waiting on the NOA2 then you should of already have your case number for the USCIS, as that is on the NOA1. The NOA2 is the letter saying your case is approved and forward to the NVC. AT the NVC you will be assign a new case number and invoice number.

I thought NOA2 would get sent to my husbands address anyway. I can track that online too, i was just wondering if there is anything i need on the NVC letter that gets sent to my UK address - i am assuming it does get sent there!

    Ok great! thank you :)!

when the NOA2 arrive you can call the NVC after a couple of weeks using the USCIS case number to see if your case is there.

yes the forms and fees can be done online the only thing you will have to mail in will be the AOS documents and the IV civil documents

  4. I am visiting US in a couple of months (on VWP) for one month , just as my NOA2 is expected to arrive.. if it does come when i am there, i don't want to have to wait till i am back to move on with the process or go home early.

Do we physically need any of the letters that arrive to my home address in the UK? or can we do it online/call for any numbers i need etc. I can bring copies of my birth cert and police cert with me as I know i need to send those. from researching i believe most of it is online but i believe i have to wait for a case number which can only be found on the physical letter?

    Thank you! :)

  5. Any Nebraska NOA2s? :clock:

  6. I think you can correct it once your application is with NVC or just call USCIS and ask them about it. It is very important to have correct DOB but there are various stages where you can correct it. It is good if you can correct it at early stage. Hence when your case reach NVC after aproval just call them while providing all details, you can ask them to correct. Also one can correct it while filling up D260 which will be after you pay AOS fees. Good luck. Do not worry.

NOTE : do not trust attorney. I heard lots of horrible stories. Also I have my own experience

Thank you for the reply! Yup, don't trust an attorney. we only had one because it was some kind of relative, she messed up loads.. didn't even send out our i130 for two months of having it because we didn't tell her to send it!? :l and the worst thing is the advice of gong for this visa.. when there could have been many easier ways for us... but never mind.

she sent the letter to adjust it, but i believe it is wrong. she didn't attach any ID and my husband didn't sign it. so i guess we will just wait until it reaches nvc and change it?

  7. sorry for the second post, but i JUST found out that our lawyer (who we fired) had my husbands dob wrong on the whole application, and realised when we received noa1 so sent a letter to adjust it.

i am very upset because my husband didn't tell me, and this lawyer has messed up tons of stuff. i only just found out because we fired her and she mailed me all the documents and i saw the letter she sent to them to adjust. apparently she told him it is fine.

is this going to delay anything? are we supposed to receive a letter back with t he new date of birth, because it was over a month ago and nothing

  8. It certainly won't hurt you that you forgot, as it was a genuine mistake that will be corrected. Don't worry too much. :star:

You could send a new one to be on the safe side. My guess is it'll get put with your file and not touched again until it's all reviewed. You'll also have a chance to correct it at NVC when you submit the DS-260, it asks aaall the same things again and more.

    thanks for the reply!

we just double checked with a lawyer and he said that is is absolutely fine, and he wouldn't even class me as living since i was only studying abroad etc so nothing to worry about! :)

  9. Hey guys, i just realised that I did not actually have on my G-325a application that i lived in Germany for about 8 months when studying abroad, not sure why i missed it.. at the time we didn't realise how serious it all was! anyway, my question is:

does it affect the processing times if we amend the information?

i got told it doesn't but just want a second opinion as i also got told that it probably isn't going to harm as it was a genuine mistake and just to explain the mistake in the interview, if it even comes up...but i would prefer to be safe :)

  10. The DS-160, I believe.

phew! so all this panic was about NOTHING haha as i haven't even got to that stage
