Yes, we are hoping to visit my mum next month and my understanding is that we will need a negative test result 72 hours or less prior to departure, to test on day 2 and 8 per the government guidelines (we also plan to test out on day 5 if possible) and then a test prior to flying home.

We will quarantine until we can test out at a family members home.

Really disappointed that we are not slated to be on the green list, being on the amber list is no different to how things have been this whole time.

Thank you for the congratulations! Yup, I was very blessed during the K1 part of our visa journey, it was super speedy and received a lot of heat on VJ as a result, to the point where I had to take a break because I got so many unkind private messages

My 2 year GC was approved in November 2015 but I did not receive it until January 2016.

Therefore I was eligible to apply for N-400 in August 2018

The I-130 takes around 10 months. Then NVC around 3-4 months before you have an interview date. Overall 12-15 months since you file the I-130.

I filed the I-130 for my mom in July 2017, interview in October 2018, landed in the US Nov 2018.

Hi all, I haven't been on this forum in quite some time but this is where I got the most support back in my K1 visa days so I felt it was fitting to return today and share that we are DONE with our immigration journey! I had my N400 interview on 2/6 and they asked me to return two hours later for my oath ceremony. I wanted to let you all know, whatever stage of the journey you are at, that despite how stressful and frustrating this process is, it is so worth it when you attend that oath ceremony and hear everyones stories from such a vast range of different countries. It was such an emotional day for me.

Anyway, I wish you all, all the luck in the world! Thank you to the VJ community for being a part of our journey! I couldn't have done it without you all and I made some friends for life on this forum!
