joeygen reacted to rtor1 in HELP!!! My wife's friend being treated like a SLAVE!!!
Please don't take me wrong and I am sorry if I will sound harsh!!
First of all she is not being treated as a slaver but has a very controlling man and I don't know the reasons why he acts like that! But well, she didn't know her man before jumping into marriage? That's one of the reasons I don't agree how easy they make this process for some.
Second, she is a 35 years old woman who works out and make her own money. I know it's not too much to support herself and it's a part time one, but she could live with it without him (Finding a roommate in a cheap neighborhood for instance and etc). I am not saying that living with this money is easy but not impossible. And if she wants she can do some extra work.
And when you ask what to do the answer is SO simple: She should divorce. Apparently she concerns so much about her GC and I am sorry but looking at the whole scenario it LOOKS like she got married to an older man to get her GC and get advantage of his financial situation. I don't know if this man threats her, if so I understand she may be scared but again, she can do something about it.
She is with him because SHE wants, she is old enough to make her own choices. I personally feel bad when I see the topic turning into advices on how to revoke the pre-nup! Really? Why he should pay her money to a healthy young woman with no kids if they divorce, what I think reasonable is to give her part of her monthly money that he ''takes'', nothing else.

Hi.. when I request to expedite my interview, I wrote an email to the embassy. Then they response that they waive my moms interview and that she can come anytime on the date given. Setting an appointment online, doesn't really works for immigrant, because they will not conduct an interview without the files.

    ah. ok.
so it's on you to set the visa appointment.
set up an account at ustraveldocs.com/ph
and set up the visa appointment. once you have a visa appointment letter, is easy to get the medical at SLEC.
You might be able to get the medical without the appointment letter - if you have any checklist emails from NVC showing the consular casefile number (MNL2014XXXXXX) can bring those in to SLEC.

You can proceed to medical. Medical doesn't have appointment. But only the NVC will set an appointment interview.

I have read your other threads here regarding your situation as well and I'm sorry to hear the troubles you are going through. That being said, there is a child involved and it sounds to me that you are spending far too much time and energy trying to hurt or get even with this woman, the Mother of your child. Do you not think that hurting her will not also eventually hurt your child? If I were you, as hard as it may be, I would suck it up and do what is best for my child. Let the past be the past and let your child have the best possible future.

I think if your are sponsoring both parents, then the EZ would be acceptable as long as you meet all the requirements. Bare in mind that they are two separate applications and should be treated as such.

Yes several of the questions are very confusing and has wording more difficult than necessary. We just keep going over and over it.

Yes, you have to send them the original/certified copy of you marriage contract/certificate AND the same for the divorce document. No matter how many times you have been married and divorced, no matter how long ago.

I know someone like your situation or maybe more complicated. The age difference is 40 years. They got approved. No problem. Just make sure you prepare for your interview. Listen very carefully. Focus on dates, place and how.
    Be confident on the interview.
As long as its real then, there is nothing to worry about.
NVC or Consulate, they are trained to look at the evidence. I think they are not trained to use their emotions. (just a thought)

The petitions for parents are separate, though, and only one parent is listed on each petition. My guess would be multiple persons applies to the beneficiary with dependents, i.e. IR-1/2 or K-3/4.
AOS papers should be separate in the case of two IR-5s also.
To be safe I would probably file the regular one, which I did. But this is something to think about.
