He was not killed for walking while black. His actions caused his death.
If it is true, that black people are gunned down by white cops just for walking down the street, then hold protests and rally when that is what happens. Why choose this as the rallying point? Pick a better example than the guy who ripped off a store, punched a cop, tried to take his gun, and then charged at him. I'm sorry, I have to side with the cop. When it happens that a cop just shoots a black guy while he's walking down the street, let me know. I'll be there protesting with everybody else. ( Actually, I'll just be writing about it here on VJ ) But, until that happens, all seems right in the world.

The feigned outrage is what is nuts. These types of incidents between police and criminals happen quite often, but it's only when you have a white cop and black criminal does this feigned outrage ever happen, followed by the rioting and looting. I have no patience for this type of behavior by any race or group of people, it does nothing but hurt and kill other innocent people. The National Guard should be in Ferguson enforcing a state of martial law and arresting anyone who steps out of line until things cool down.

Janelle, I think what Karee means is that because he robbed a store, he deserved to go to jail. Because he assaulted the officer, he got dead instead. The first would have delayed his attending school, the second one prevents it.

I came in late but whoever said that they are dead on point.
What the Press and Obama need to say is,
"this is what happens when you have no respect for yourself or authority, when you commit crime and when you think that you are empowered to commit violence against others. Our Police officers have a right to respond when attacked". It saddens me that many in this nation are making Michael Brown the victim, when he was nothing more than a criminal".

My background is far from squeaky clean. However, throughout my brushes with the law I've never felt it was a good idea to assault a cop. That kind of thing could get you dead, as it did in this case.
Again, you're totally missing the point. being black and less fortunate does not = need to go jail.
Robbery and assaulting a police officer = need to go to jail.
Seems to me this particular cop wasn't harassing anyone in this case. He was doing his job.

What I disagree with is this need to make him look like some kind of angel who missed out on his chance to attend MIT because of some blood thirsty cop. He assaulted a store clerk while robbing him, just prior to assaulting a cop. The bottom line is that if he didn't assault a cop, he would still be alive. He would be in jail, and not attending some air conditioning school who's specialty seems to be ripping off the govt. with their school loan program.
Don't assault a cop. Don't end up dead. Pretty simple in my book, I don't care what race you are.

Not rushing armed law enforcement probably worked better. The lack of an imminent threat would take away any reason for law enforcement to open fire on him.
But not at the same time as he was finally confronted and arrested. If he had been cornered at the time of the shooting, he would likely have been shot multiple times. The same goes for if he had engaged in a firefight at the time of his arrest.
You may try to link these two cases , but they are very dissimilar in the way they occurred. Simply put, when cornered, Eric Frein surrendered. That's why he still draws breath.
As many witnesses stated , Michael Brown did not and decided to present an imminent threat to Officer Wilson. That is why he is dead.

When they caught Eric Frein, did he surrender or did he try to fight his way out?
I'm willing to bet it was the former, because if he had tried to rush the LOEs, like Michael Brown, he'd be just as dead.

Once the bad guy got control of the gun, it was over for the cop. A cop shouldn't have to die because the other guy wins a struggle. It is definitely not fair to the family of the cop to tell them that their father/husband is dead because we wouldn't allow him to protect himself.
I'm not saying I know what happened in the Brown case, but this is why I think the size of Brown is important. If Brown had already attacked the cop and tried to take his gun, and if he was not surrendering but coming back at the cop - well, the cop has to be allowed to protect himself. Especially when he knows that the guy is much bigger and stronger than him and he feels there is no way he can keep the guy away from his gun. I don't see how there can be any debate; the cop has to be allowed to protect himself.

So two people with issues proves a much bigger problem, but two cases of voter fraud proves there is not one

However the people that use it as a last ditch attempt to defend Obama's throwing the borders open forget.
It was written and passed by a Democratic congress with a promise, the Border would be closes and employers would be prosecuted for hiring illegals. They failed to do either. Just proves you can't trust liberals to keep their word.

Except Iraq did have WMDs, as recent reports have let slip, they just went unreported when coalition forces found them. The problem was where those weapons originated.

The known factors:
1. There is a a deadly infectious disease in West Africa that is contained only by isolation and extremely cautious protocol for outfitting and decontamination.
2. A complacent idiot in the White House with a pen and a phone decides America if fully prepared to allow people who may or may not be infected with this deadly infectious disease to travel to the US.
Brilliant by any standard.
