Congrats! Just curious, why didn’t you file for naturalization when your three year window opened up?
Thank you! We wanna make sure that it’s not gonna be an overlapping issue coz we’re still waiting for the 10 year GC, we patiently waited until this long waiting game is over :)

Hi VJ community, I’m just so happy to share with you all that I finally received my 10 year Green card after waiting for exactly 18months
I’m very greatful to this website coz it helped us a lot. My fiancé (now my spouse) didn’t have to hire an immigration lawyer for our K1 to my removal of condition. I can now officially say that I am a US permanent resident. Next stop! Citizenship, will keep u posted once we’re done with the naturalization process. Good luck y’all

Hi, I'm much worried about my condition, I entered the US lawfully with a k1 visa, under the same sex marriage law and now living a happy life with my spouse, however it terrified my big time when Trump won the election, thinking that I'm gonna have a big issue renewing my conditional greencard July 2017. Any thoughts about this? Thanks

@da&ra kindly go to uscis.gov and enter ur case number to check the status

Hi, it's very sad to here that u got an rfe, anyways you'll be fine just as long as u respond and send them the required documents for the rfe you will be fine! It's possible that they lost it or didn't see it at all, what we did to make sure it's not gonna be lost, we had a cover letter containing the list of all the docs we submitted, luckily we never had rfe during our process. Good luck to u guys

Hi guys, good luck to your journey. I hope everything goes smoothly. I've been on the same situation last year and thank God we're done with the process, I just got my greencard on October 20. These whole process is stressful I know that, but just hang in there

Based on my on experience it's better to front load them with tons of evidences coz they really read each and one of them, how I knew it? Coz even the details from the pictures we sent them was scanned by the consul who did my interview. I don't know maybe it's case to case but it's better to be prepared than to get rfe

Good luck everyone

hi guys, i just wanna take the time to thank y'all guys for answering my questions from day 1, K1 petition- K1 interview- AOS! it was a year ago when i joined this forum and it was a great decision
each and everyone of you is a big help in our journey, everything went smoothly, no delays, no RFE's and most specially no need to pay for an attorney, we did it on our own. See y'all after 2 years for my removal of condition
thanks so much visajourney, and for those people that are still waiting for their papers to get done, just hang in there, good luck to all! -
Thanks for ur responses

I was reading ur post and I felt bad this happened to I guys, and yes the only option u have now is to hire a good lawyer, I've seen that ur wife is from the Philippines, there's one good immigration lawyer that helped thousands of Filipinos, try to search for atty. garffinkel (not sure with the spelling though) ask ur wife if she heard about him. He's a good one. Good luck on ur journey.

Hi guys, I have a quick question about id's. I'll have my interview for my AOS next month, and says there to bring a government issued Id, and as of today I don't have a state issued id yet, is it ok to just bring my passport or do I really have to get a state id for my interview? Thanks a lot. And wish us luck on May AOS interview.

@panssey thank you. Now I'm a bit relieved. I'm just worried I'm not gonna be hired because of my temporary ssn
-
Hi guys I hope u can help me. I got my SSN last May and it says 'valid for work only with authorization' and few weeks ago I got my EAD in the mail. Now I'm in the process of getting hired and my hr people called me and was asking for a copy of my ssn for background checking, probably coz when they did my background checking they didn't see anything coz basically my SSN is 'empty' or no records will be found. Has anyone here who had an issue finding a job using the temporary ssn (when I say temporary I only have my EAD and no green card on hand yet) thanks guys I'm really nervous I want this job so bad. I'm about to start this Monday if everything is ok with my background check

im not sure about the translation, go check your requirement list, and if it says it needs to be translated, then go bring a translated one and the original or authenticated birth cert, it doesnt hurt to be ready anyways
coz for Filipinos, they only ask for authenticated birth certificate from our National Statistics Office. -
yes, you need to bring birth certificate on the interview day.

Yes, you can have ur medical exam as soon as u get the case number, same thing happened to us, we didn't get the NOA 2, but we received an email with the mnl case number, I presented it to st lukes and they accepted it. Case number Lang ang importante

Hi I just wanna ask coz I just checked my case about my work permit, and it says that 'they're now ordering my card...' Does that mean that my work permit application was approved? Is it safe to update my timeline here?
-

hi guys, good day! we are currently on the process of adjusting my status after getting married (under k1 visa), when we sent the packet for my AOS, we included my work authorization application together with my AOS, today i received a text and email stating that they already received our application (check has been cashed too) but on the uscis website (they gave me the case number) it only says "On May 8, 2015, we received your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization , Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxx, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by June 7, 2015, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.
is this how it should say? it doesnt say anything about my application for my AOS. any feedback guys? thanks alot
