Snorlux got a reaction from Alix64 in How much delay does RFE cause?
When I had an RFE it was processed pretty quickly after we send the information back.. I think at the point when an RFE is issued, an immigration officer already looked at your case and the information required in the RFE is the only thing missing before your application can be completely processed.. so once you respond back the immigration officer handling your case picks up the information and continues processing.. the delay to your processing time is the number of days between the day the RFE is issued and the time the RFE information is received back at USCIS give or take a few days.. That was my experience anyways.

Basically the letter never showed up online and when I inquired with them they told me there’s a technical issue causing my oath letter to not be showing up online .. go figure.. that’s all they were able to tell me so now I’m waiting for the letter to be delivered at home ..

I've seen people where the oath was schedule 3 weeks from mailing date :S In any case.. I'm cutting it very, very, very close lol .. Hopefully the letter should show up online by tomorrow morning as usual so by tomorrow I will probably know.

PIN number is shown on the infopass confirmation screen and it clearly "this is the only time we will provide you with your Personal Identification Number (PIN) - Keep your PIN and confirmation letter in a safe place in case you have to reschedule or cancel your appointment". I usually just take a photo of it so that I can always find it on my phone 😕

Hey guys, just got approved  Got the notification saying oath ceremony will be scheduled. I wonder if they schedule them one month ahead like the biometrics.. in that case I'm screwed cause I will be out of the country :S

Hey NJ Troop, ok so my interview was at 10:45 but I was called in at 12:50 ..

THANK GOD the officer had my i751 file in front of him and he told me good thing I brought my wife and baby with me because he will need them.
My N400 interview letter mentioned nothing about i751 or combo interview and since @Wilkintina's officer did not have a clue about adjudicating i751 together with N400 I had my doubts on whether I would get a combo interview. But I feel like the NBC combined everything into one ELIS file and send them both together. He had one HUGE brown envelope on one side I saw a HUMONGOUS stack of papers with  WAC-XXXXXXXX sticker on the top of the stack which was my i751 case number and on the other side there was a small stack of papers which I assume was for my N400 lol.

He took a lot (and I mean a lot) of time updating my address, adding the baby information because she wasn't born when I applied for i751 etc etc.
After that he asked me the classic n400 eligibility questions like if i served in the military if i sold drugs etc.

Then for the civics test here's what I remember:
    1) Which group of people was brought to the US to be solved as slaves?
    2) Who makes laws?
    3) Which is the highest court in the country?
    4) Who is the vice president?
    5) Why did the colonists fight the british?
    6) How many amendments does the Constitution have?

He then moved on and asked me for my 2017 tax return transcript and any new documents I brought with me for the i751 ! Notice that my interview letter mentioned nothing for the i751 removal of conditions application so thank god i took a lot of documents with me such as baby's birth certificate, lease contracts with mine and my wife's name on them, health insurance card which had mine, my wife's and the baby's name etc. He also said that he won't have to call my wife in because he has faith in the marriage due to the baby born inside the marriage and also the documents that were already there.

At the end he said that because the i751 is not in electronic format he will need to do some other things to approve it so it won't happen today but I shouldn't worry because 1) there are no oath ceremonies in the afternoon at Newark so I wouldn't have taken the oath today anyways and 2) everything is perfect so he just needs to process the approval and I will get a letter for the oath very soon.

All in all,  glad I know both applications are in his hands and he will be approving both himself  No waiting for him to put everything in the system so that I can get that oath letter.
At the end he joked that it took him so long to put everything in his computer that my wife might think that I'm being detained.. On the way out he said I just need to see your wife and baby and say hi, i don't need to ask them anything and you are all good to go.

Mine still says wait time until October 2018 and estimate completion November 2018 but got my interview letter for July 10 and Newark does same day Oath Ceremonies so I wouldn't count on those estimates.. they seem to be going crazy :S

Funny how they alternate.. When we started the process California was super fast.. then half way through California became super sluggish and Vermont became fast.. and now they are going towards switching places again lol

I think NBC is, as you said, just gather documents, make sure everything is in order and forward to appropriate office. Then again, the fact that some cases were transferred to NBC might mean that local offices were ready to schedule interviews so they requested our pending i751s be taken out of the queues and send over to local offices since they caught up with the process before i751s were approved.

I'd rather get that glorious blue passport than the 10 year green card, though I wouldn't mind getting both for keepsake
    I applied for i751 on December 2016

    Hey guys,

    N400 Combo Interview Scheduled!!

I was in the bunch of people who had their i751 transferred to NBC. I just got a notification on my N400 saying that Interview is scheduled seems like combining with N400 wasn't that bad of an idea after all.

So i actually got 2 separate "transfer to another office that has jurisdiction" notices.. one on may 1st and one on may 3rd.. The letter i got today was from may 1st .. could it be that NBC got the case from CSC and forwarded it to my local office in case my N400 is ready for interview already? :S  I mean, it's a stretch.. but I'm being hopeful lol

Hey guys, I got the same notice along with another December 2016 I751 filer and we are both getting a letter from USCIS today (according to USPS Informed Delivery) so this doesn't look like it was a glitch.. I will update once I get the actual letter in my mailbox.

Ok so this is messed up, I called USCIS just now and the automated system is saying that on May 3 my case was transferred to the USCIS office in Laguna Niguel California.. this is the California Service Center.. so if that's correct, on may 1st it was transferred to NBC and on may 3rd it was transferred back to CSC? What madness is this?
