No not yet. Submitted only a few weeks ago and waiting until NVC gets around to my case.

That’s what I did as someone who lives with spouse abroad:
 
- Current address = where you physically are at this time
- Permanent address = the US address where you intend to domicile (or in your case, your in-laws name and address)
 
 

We took the second option, i.e. most recent tax year under Required AOS Documents and the other two years separately under Additional Documentation. 
They were all accepted and we had no requests for further documents and got Documentarily Qualified.
 
(On a related note, something I did struggle with: you can only upload files up to a maximum of 2 Mb in size. Since I didn't have my 2020 tax transcript yet when we submitted I sent my 2020 tax return with all schedules and initially the file was too big so I had to re-scan the PDF and play with the resolution to get it under 2 Mb. So for this reason it may also make life a little easier to not submit one large document but to split into multiple, if possible.)

U can call to call center and tell them about your problem, it will take 24hr to update ur account after that it will not appear vac appointment and you will see consular appointmentn, I had same problem.

Yes. I drove back early this month to US. No Covid needed for US citizens by Land. 

US is not allowing tourists in by land. Essential Travel Only (except for citizens, LPRs, work/student visa holders and IV holders are exempt for US entry restrictions.)
 
For land entry:
Canada --> US - No test. No quarantine. Essential travel only.
US --> Canada: Neg PCR test taken no more than 72 hours prior to entry. Test required on entry as well. As well as test on day 8 of home quarantine. Participation in the ArriveCan app is mandatory. Essential Travel Only.
 
For Air Entry:
Canada --> US - Negative Antigen or PCR test 72 hours prior to departure. Non-essential travel allowed.
US --> Canada - Negative PCR test 72 hours prior to departure. PCR test on arrival, stay in hotel quarantine until results are provided. Final test on day 8 of home quarantine. Essential Travel Only.
 
IMPORTANT: Canada does not accept rapid antigen tests, it MUST be a PCR test.

Thanks, yes I recognise the risks and just exploring all avenues. And no, I don’t have ties to India to allow me to go there 3/4 months in advance.
 
Good luck to both us with Montreal...The wait time right now is 10-11 months from date of case complete.

I live in Canada, but I didn't transfer since I don't trust the travel aspect. If you miss the interview due to travel/quarantine/new variant, there is no knowing when you will be able to get a new interview date, it could be months/years. So perhaps it is better to wait 3-4 months longer in Montreal. Do you plan to just go to India 3-4 months in advance?

It is the limbo.  When my wife and kids got in the car and drove away leaving me here alone 5 months ago we hoped it would only be til I got my interview.  DQ Oct 5.  Lawyer told me my only chance to get home anytime soon is an expedite request. But if we're literally within a month or two of letters no point. If it was going to be another year I'd move to western Canada so I could at least be closer to Arizona.  But here we are in limbo

I am surprised at lack of anger at sheer INADEQUACY of the Canadian government and administration. They picked a fight with Trump when they should've massaged his ego just so we can ensure vaccines. Picked a fight with India due to political reasons when we knew they would be producing the MOST NUMBER OF VACCINES in the world. Trudeau didn't even ask India for vaccines until opposition shamed him in to doing it. Now here is a quarantine for poor people (people making 200k USD a year would gladly pay 2k CAD 2-3 times a year if they absolutely have to, poor folks just can't). It is a shame to live right next door to U.S. for all their faults at least they look out for their own, and so far have avoided idiotic restrictions. This is just criminal. I am so pissed and sad. Wish more people were vocal about the pain caused by our government to us. We have become a joke to the world.

... I think you might be right 😟 I just remembered when I spoke to the nice man at the Visa Unit regarding my rescheduling, he did say something about the consulate being closed in May. However, I thought I misheard bc he had an accent or thought he doesnt know what hes talking about because I thought to myself how can the consulate be closed if they scheduled interviews for May 12 and 13... but it seems like he could have been referring to the second part of May...😓 
I also asked if its likely that I will get my interview rescheduled for June, July, or August and he said maam its very unlikely.

You will get there...you really will.  
 
I think your timeline is about the closest to mine.  634 days it took me from PD to interview and really, there were no excuses because there was no pandemic to blame the delayed timelines on.  
 
As I've said before, immigration is not for the weak.  I agree - there needs to be some reform.  I was already living in the US with a house, my kids in school, paying taxes and HOA fees.  We were forced to leave.  Why did the process have to be so difficult?  I think really this is the million dollar question.  
 
Don't lose faith. Your visa is nearly guaranteed as a spouse. It could always be worse - there are people who've waited decades to immigrate, waiting until a "slot" becomes available.  Find the silver linings and take the little wins.  Try to appreciate the things you have now that will change.  An example - seeing spring crocuses.  Crocuses were a symbol of spring for my entire life until I moved to the US.  I really appreciated those pale purple flowers and what they represented when I had the chance to see them again on my hiatus back to Canada.  It's easy to get hung up in the big things and forget about the little ones.  Drink in all the small things because when you slingshot out on the other side, everything is different. Everything will have changed.  

I really hope so. I am at an all time low today, as I am sure many of us are.

Yeah, that's where I'm at right now. I've basically given up on getting an interview in June at this point. If it happens, great, if not then we'll just have to keep waiting. The fortunate thing is that those of us expecting IL's this month won't have to wait long once MTL decides to do its job again.
 
I'm just gonna bury myself in my hobbies and try and take my mind off this for now. I'm too frazzled to get beat up by it. I've called out sick from work today because I'm just so burnt out, pandemic, immigration and trying to keep up a face of normality at work is too much now. 
 
If you're struggling right now, take a day off sick from work if you can and give yourself some TLC, it'll help.
 

That’s where I’m at- I think yesterday really did me in and at this point, it really is easier to believe we are closer to June letters than May 😞💕. I hope you all have a way to take care of yourselves right now, I’m rooting for everyone with September DQ to get their letters ASAP.

I think if I start telling myself there won't be letters this month it might help my nerves. That way, when they do send them, I can be pleasantly surprised instead of crushed every morning...

That’s not really fair. Everyone handles life differently and I don’t have any intention of hiding the fact that I am actively processing feelings of grieving and loss right now. You don’t have to join the dark side, but I do think that you should respect what others are experiencing. 
I’m genuinely happy for you that you’re NOT experiencing these feelings of despair and abandonment, I’m glad this isn’t making you sick to your stomach so you can still eat and sleep normally. It’s just as damaging to be brazenly optimistic in hard times as it is to be pessimistic; you invalidate the experiences, feelings, and personal stories that everyone is navigating. 
i try not to be too dark on the forum because there are hopeful people, like you, who I don’t want to make feel the way I do, but I also find it very cathartic to see others feeling the same way I do. It makes me feel like I’m not frickin crazy and it helps me stay grounded. So like, if you see a sad post, maybe just skip it next time? That’s what I usually do with overly positive ones. I can’t relate and they make me feel worse. They’re not for me, and not every post is for everyone- so just skip the post like a track on Spotify. Even though I have disagreed with stuff @darth vader has posted on here, I feel the same way they do about letters maybe not coming out for us this month and it’s a sad sort relief to see they are on the same wave length- cathartic.

Sorry to hear that. Yeah this only works for folks close to the border or if you are willing to drive non stop from border to home without leaving your vehicle. How long has it been since you saw your spouse?

somone told me a trick about it I cant remember now, but something like if you dont hear a ring at the beginning then you are going to get an automated machine which will hang up on you. So if you dont hear a ring hang up immediately, and keep calling again until you hear a ring. Once you hear a short ring at the beginning of the call that means your call will get to a human. I hope I remembered this correctly!

They would waive interviews for work visas in a heartbeat if it came to that, because the big industries would lobby for it. But no one cares for the family immigration. This would only change if all of us who go through family immigration dont just forget about this once we are in the U.S. but form a group, and donate monthly/yearly so that we become a powerful lobbying group also. I would gladly donate $1000 USD per year for rest of my life if someone was to start this initiative for family immigration.

Agree. The thing that would solve everything is to waive the interview or make it remote. They recently changed it for other immigration processes. I hope it will come, if not for us, for the next ones.
