I did it with a secured card and checking account (checking account was required, but doesn't build a score). Six months later I had a clear established score and went unsecured with a different company and kept my secure card too. After about a year and a few cards (all paid on time), my score hit 750. You can check using credit karma, it is free and they even have an app.

Esta is visit only, not work or Schooling or marriage. K1 is for marriage. Then AOS, so much longer than 6-8 months. If you get married before applications you still need AOS.

I recommend using a price comparison site. UPS wanted $212 for a small box. My mother sent a 35lb box 24.X24x36 for $80 from the UK. I'm now sending a box for $35 to the UK.

    I enjoy it.
It's not like I light up every day. I actually go to the gym and lead a pretty healthy life.
Not to mention it's actually healthier than other drugs, especially since I vape it.
Why don't you go be judgemental someplace else. It's 2016.

Considering weed is legal in certain states, I do wonder if there are exceptions regarding the medical.
Personally, I would stop and not even consider touching it ever... Depending the types of tests done, further testing could be conducted to conclude prior results in more detail. You know it stays in your system a while and how things are concluded varies on the test done.
There's no medical done for a greencard, that's done prior to actually obtaining some form of status. If adjusting from k1, then k1 is the medical. If CR1 i assume so, but no idea. AOS there's no medical it was already done on k1. Just figure out when and where your medical will be.

I don't see a single red flag. Marriage being spoken of after a week could just seen as commitment, culturally speaking. I've seen this in a few places. People are basically saying they are a person that their partner can rely on if you go ahead with taking me on board and skip all the usual whoo Hoos.
Being divorced, having kids, being fat, age difference, different religion and ethnicity can't really be considered red flags, it's 2016. Obviously, you can scrutinize these things, and may even look at them with extra detail, but certain not a red flag. e.g. 20 year old with no life experience marries guy with 4 kids aged 50.
People fall in love online all the time and the requirements for meeting can even be waived under certain circumstances. So, for this reason it isn't abnormal to meet just once. The process is long and hard, and they bank on time to tell the tale.
Either way, as boiler said, "mention her having to move there." That's a good test...

At the end of the day, you have your answers. I think you should seriously consider your options as to what the future may pertain if you choose to divorce. Many people choose to stay with their partner in fear of not being able to sustain life in one form or another when a child is involved. People have choices now! The thing is, you must have been happy to start with and feeling insecure about being used is odd considering the life changing circumstances that have had to have been met by your partner should be appreciated. You almost seem selfish only considering yourself as an individual. It isn't easy to leave everything you've ever known behind in life!
Something seems off if you seriously say you were used. You had a baby, that is so preventative. It isn't 1642. It takes two, and you have your own thoughts to contend with prior to making a decision. You wouldn't have had a child if love wasn't involved. Also, if it was a sham, I would imagine the guy would have taken off some time ago. Unless it involved two as a sham?
How do you think he may feel you even considering sending him away? Not good... Also, there is nothing wrong with somebody wanting to get out and better their lives when given the opportunity. Hindrance of such, as opposed to support, in my mind, is considered abuse. You should support him if he is genuine.
Marriage is work, it isn't easy. People say and do stupid **** all the time, and you know what, communication helps, not running away. Unless really, you're on the last leg or something like violence and abuse is involved. I have a feeling you argued over some silly stuff and this is the result. You seem naive. Otherwise, consult a lawyer and move on and leave the guy be. Settle things legally.

But there is immigration intent later on. The key word is INTENT. You are using an ESTA for marriage, which is only issued for tourism/pleasure, not marriage. Sure you can get married "legally", however you are going with the intention of getting married, which is considered visa fraud. It's stupid, but it's clear as day how it's written. If you somehow entered on a esta and suddenly realized that 2 months later you wanted to get married and actually did that's fine, but later on with green card applications or whatever, they will look into your such application with greater scrutiny, given you married without the appropriate paperwork. It doesn't matter if you leave or stay, your right to immigrate remains valid with sponsorship, inside or out of the USA.
I knew beforehand that I could marry visiting on an ESTA, considered it, but later realized it would have been fraud. I would have to prove it wasn't my INTENT. Either way, I used a K1, got married and settled. I could have left like you're considering, then apply for a green card from the UK instead of AOS whilst remaining. It was a smooth process.

There is no problem using ESTA/VWP/B1/B2 Visa to enter the US and get married, if you are returning to your home country. The issue they have is people using those means to enter, marry, and adjust status. There is nothing wrong with what she wants to do, because she has zero intent of adjusting status and staying in the US permenantly. She wants to get married, return home, and finish her schooling.

I want to point you to a few official sources on the topic. US Embassy in London.
    Fiance Visas https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/
Last paragraph Please note: if you do not intend taking up indefinite residence but will continue to live and work outside the United States after the marriage ceremony, you should apply for a B-2 visa, or if eligible, travel visa free under the Visa Waiver Program.
    Visa FAQs https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visa-faqs/
    Seventh question
We are traveling to the United States to marry and will return to the United Kingdom after marriage. Do I still need a fiancé(e) visa?
If you will return to your permanent residence you may apply for a tourist B-2 visa, or if eligible, travel visa free under the Visa Waiver Program. At the time you apply for the visa and/or travel to the United States you will be required to show that you have a residence outside the United States that you do not intend to abandon. There is no set form that this evidence takes as it varies with each persons circumstances
Note to Dave: it is only fraud to purposely use VWP to circumvent the proper immigration channels. She only wants to marry in the US at this time. Her immigration plans are separate, in the future, and do not include using VWP.

I just told them on the interview day they are childhood scars from riding bikes and climbing tree, basically being a kid. I thought it was a strange question at the time, and it caught be offguard.

Nope, you can file whenever after you're married. I recommend taking into account the processing times for certain cases. Some cases are over 16 months and still in the waiting phase (NPIW cases). Other requiring an interview seem to be quicker and vary 5 months onwards, but it's hard to tell. Just take into account the implications of bot filing: Driving licence, SSN, work, education, status, being able to leave and a variety of other things. Also, your medical now expires in one year as opposed to expiring within one year of filing. Mean that you have a year to file and your medical is okay, is no long the case, it's one year only and you may receive a RFE in future. All this stuff isn't a big deal, but weighing up what's important and knowing what's ahead helped me a lot! I did everything early, it made it a smooth process. A driving licence made the world of difference for me, but varies from state to state. just having a standard American ID.

You're married and once you enter the visa is used and the condition of the visa means you have 90 to get married or leave. AOS has no time period attached to it, but you will have no rights in the country if you don't file and be stick in limbo if not filled asap.

Just a short update. Things are going well, but living a pretty much normal life here day-to-day. Still stuck in limbo with the AOS side of things because of the NPIW. However, you're pretty much free as a normal person besides a few restrictions like education, loans and gun ownership. I'm attempting to go back to school, but I am required to pay out of state tuition fee and cannot prove otherwise i'm a resident without a greencard as ultilities don't go back that far (one year).
I've managed to sort out all the essentials needed: Medical insurance (marketplace), driving licence, SSN, credit building and taxes. So, really just slowly building a foundation for ourselves and adjusting slowly to the ew ways. Otherwise, I'm traveling and doing things I didn't normally back in the UK. The country is beautiful and lots to do. I am still shocked at the views where I am in the valley. Lots of hiking, natural places to swim, which is nice. Winter is actually winter! We had tempurtures of -10f last year and awaiting another hard hit again. That is something that I am not used too. Summer is lovely and nice and warm. I spent sometime digging a trench, fun fun! Anyway, it's a hard and lengthy process to adjust to the normalities of life for essentials. So, my advice is do everything early and don't listen to everybody, do your own research. I wouldn't have what I do now if it were for that reason. Example: medical insurance.
    My experience:
SSN do on (K1) not AOS as it takes forever.
Driving Licence (varible by state), but all I needed was my Notice of action for adjustment of status (i797). This made life so much easier as nobody would accept my passport as ID or other. I can drive perfectly fine and the test was 2 minutes and very simple ( drive around the block).
Medical insurance: Omg, this was a pain in the ###! If you cannot obtain insurance through your spounces work (maybe doesn't have it or on medicaid), sort this ASAP! Soon after you file for AOS or obtain EAD. They have a special enollment period open 3 months of the year. Outside of that you're going to find it difficult. I had to go an apply for medicaid and obtain a rejection letter then apply online to open the doors to the marketplace (this is a short version) This they dub "The special enrolment period" so you cann apply outside the window under life changing circumstances.
Credit building: Easy but takes time and some research. I applied for a secured card then next going for a loan which will be co-signed. About 6 months roughly you should have something nice to work with.
Taxes: You'll find it different with the deductions and such you can apply. It's complicated and a head breaker, but i find it fun as a i like learning these things:) Yes, probably the odd one out. I'll hate it in the future i promise.

I have always used a webpage called Skyscanner which I found to be very cheap and looked online for various coupons deals and such. I one day stumbled across this site. They don't always have deals on, and each airline is obviously different, but I traveled with Virgin Atlantic in Feb and that's where I found the deal at student universe.
