Hi guys! i suddenly have questions of Criminal record and single record that need to prepare for my interview on this December(few more months)

1/ Criminal record that i got it was issued on 09/09/2014

2/ Single record it was issued on 19/09/2014

MY interview will be on 29/12/2014 so my question is do i need to make them both new for my interview ?

And my another question is in that both record (criminal and single) on the career space what i should i file on it ?

Because of my book resident record i'm a company employee cos when i made it was a company employee but now i stop work and stay at home.

Let me see if I have this procedure correct. PP embassy mails you a letter saying that they have your file. Is this an email or a physical piece of paper mail? This would be the first contact with PP embassy. Then you do the on line DS-160 and print out Big Bong form (DS169) and mail that to PP embassy. Then you are mailed packet 3 so you have the document needed for medical check. Is this correct? Your input does help me to understand what to expect next. Thank you and waiting to hear that you have your visa.

Let me ask you your petition is approved yet from both (USCIS & NVC)?

if you actually got approved from them then the next step is you'll get the letter mail send by PP US embassy to you or your fiancee and say that they receive your case and have code number case (EX: PHP1234567890, this number start from PHP mean your case is arrive from State to PP US Embassy).

and so i believe in that letter they tell you to file the form DS-160, And yes correct you'll print it out the form like BigBong tell you and so in there there have 3 form you need to prepare is:

1/ DS-160 conformation page

2/ I-134 paper form( your fiancee will file that form with his signature)

3/ Optional form 169 for K1 (mark with the document need you are already have and for medical exam you can wait till close to the interview day that you'll know)

Mail that 3 forms by post to embassy address.

Or more clear can call embassy or mail to them they will introduce you what you will follow.

Thanks for the responce. Are you saying that the US Embassy in PP does not send out "Packet # 3" and does not notify me that they have recieved the K-1 petition? I am still confused. Do you know why you have the long delay for your interview? Hope all is well.

When US embassy in PP mail us the letter and say they receive our case then they'll tell us to file out the form DS-160 so we'll need to download the form like BigBong tell you, Read and file it out with the instruction and mail to Embassy address.

Shortly after i sent the package 3 i can get interview date and wait for the interview.

Hello and thank you for the responce. As I read this form it seems to me that a letter is mailed from the US Embassy and that I need to complete some documents and send it back to the embassy. Maybe I am wrong. Thank you again.

My Khmer wife has a different last name than both her mother and father (they gave her the same last name as one of her grandmother) and we had no issues. Are both your mother and father's names listed on your birth certificate?

You last name being different than your father's is not problem, as long as your birth certificate/passport/ID card are all the same name and all the paperwork you've submitted have the same info and spellings.

Yes BigBong i have same situation like your wife, i have same last name as my grandpa(my dad's father).

If this is a law in your country about how children are given last names, you shouldn't have an issue because the CO should be aware of this. I can't really say since I am not from Cambodia, so you may want to ask in the Cambodia forum to get a better answer, sorry.

I'm not sure what you mean. Why is your last name different? Do they use a different last name other than the parents or did you change your name?

It shouldn't affect you as long as all of your docs have the same name, I'm not sure what they ask for over there, but in the DR medical they ask for the passport, interview letter, and national ID card. So if the name is the same across all of your docs I don't see why you would have an issue.

Although, if you ever want to petiton your parents, you would need to submit proof that you changed your name.

I didn't change my name, since i was born i have my surname/ family name is different from my father surname( as the rule children would have surname as father's surname ),

so i was wondering what the reason if people need to have DNA test thought ?

You should be able to go walk in to have the medical. Of course it may be different over there. In my country, you just walk in with the interview appointment letter and they see you the same day. My wife had her medical about a week or two before the day of the interview so that the results would be recent, but done in time for the interview. Did you receive instructions from the embassy about how to proceed? They usually send a letter or email about what to do next. You can also check on the embassy website at travel.state.gov

After sent the embassy of the package 3 we know the date of interview this week by checking on online, so we need to wait the email or letter then, thank you Iam H. Btw i have one more question, Since my surname is different from my Father or my mother so do you think it can effect with my medical check?

there the same police and criminal record . they want certificate of single for Cambodian finance and also dont forget pay the 240$ fee at aclda bank and bring the receipt to interview with you. also make sure all khmer paper is translated to english bring alot of picture they enjoy lookin at them
