Yes, unfortunately! I resubmitted June 8th and (thankfully) received our DQ email on July 27th. It was longer than our first wait of about 5 weeks due to recent delays. I have seen the odd comment about people hearing back earlier but generally I think you go back to the beginning of the queue. It seems like it would be much more efficient for NVC have a separate process/wait time for additional reviews, with so many cases that could quickly be completed by checking one or two documents!
Thanks for the info! And yes, I wholeheartedly agree with you. This entire process is anything but efficient 🙄

They are waiting for more. We also got a handful of random review notes after our first submission, including the one about not meeting the income requirement (we’re using assets) and providing W-2/1099s (I have no US income), and one about derivative family members (there are none). I chose to write a single letter succinctly addressing all of the review notes and uploaded it in CEAC labelled as a W-2 because that was the one thing they had specifically asked for… it worked and we just got the DQ email second time around.
Also, although we are hoping to use assets to qualify, we decided to line up a joint sponsor as a back up. We have all of the forms/documents ready to go but decided not to upload them in CEAC to avoid more delays. Will just take everything to the interview. In my letter I said "We have provided evidence of our assets to fulfil the financial requirement of the I-864 and I understand that the final decision will be made by the Consular Officer."
Good luck!
Thanks for sharing this because we are in a similar situation. How long did it take for you to get DQ after the first review (notes)? The entire processing times of NVC again (so like 6 weeks right now)?

I’ve found that issue, too. I think the problem lies with the transfer, so VJ only looks at the original service center instead of the processing times (dates provided by VJ users) of the newly assigned service center. It makes sense because USCIS shows that NSC has a current processing time of 1.5 - 7 months, which would match your September estimate and other users’ timelines from NSC (i.e. NSC only).

Your baby is not a visa applicant, so no need to upload the baby's birth certificate or any other civil documents to NVC.
Do bring the baby's BC or CRBA to the visa interview as additional evidence of bona fide marriage, although the consul officer would likely know about the baby already from your wife's DS-260.
Regarding OP's scenario and the DS-260: If the U.S. spouse and new baby (U.S. citizen based on CRBA) are living abroad with me, do I answer "no" when asked if they are immigrating with me? They are, of course, going to move with me, but are USC, so they technically don't immigrate, right? As always: Many thanks for your time and advice in advance!

You should refer to the USCIS website:
https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/
for ROC at NSC it’s currently taking between 17 to 36.5 months.

We were super frustrated when we learned that. We called USCIS about the transfer of our petition and the agent just said that USCIS has a page for transfer alerts. Apparently, USCIS now considers a generic "Transferred some cases from to " line as sufficient notification and we're supposed to figure out ourselves if our particular case was included in the transferred batch 🙄 Sigh.
What? Ain’t nobody got time for that! 🤦🏻♀️

it seems crazy that 1 center has 6 months processing time and the potomac has up to 17 months.. they are not even in april of 2020 yet. i do hope that they do something about this
Don’t get discouraged by that! We were first assigned to NSC (1-7 months!!! according to USCIS) and then transferred to CSC (22-29 months; without notification btw). We were devastated. But in the end, we got approved after 7 months. I wish you a speedy approval! 🍀

Look at the receipt notice. Be aware that USCIS can transfer to any other service center at their discretion.
…and even without notifying you! Apparently, they’re not obligated to do so anymore. So it helps to check up on your service center every once in a while to be aware of the actual processing time.

Sorry, I have one more question that's related to i-864. My wife just noticed from the previous form that she misread PART 6 (Sponsor's employment and income). She only read "employed as an" but didn't see the "I am currently" part, so she thought it asks about her previous job. The form was prepared by her in 2020 and she didn't work at all for that year. She did upload the new updated form with her new job like I mentioned above. Should I notify the CO before the interview start about the mistake and also mention that I updated the form?
Thanks!
Yes, definitely.

Thnkyou so much can u tell me what supporting documents do u send them Bcz in website for proof of physical presence they mention on site school transcripts , school records , W2 , tax file return previous pasports etc do I need to have send them all of them Bcz I have 5 yrs tax file return, I went to school that school transcripts my son was born in usa I have medical papers from hospital , do I need to send all of them and I have to send them previous passports also so they can see my physical presence time enter and exit stamps I don’t have enter usa stamps on my passports of my last trips but I have tickets so I can send them tickets as a proof that what date I entered usa last time
I am not the US citizen, so I don’t know what it’s called exactly. My husband got a transcript from the SSA showing his tax filings and passport numbers throughout the years. He also happened to renew his passport by turning in his old one, so the consular officer could check the stamps.
Frankfurt is a really easygoing embassy though. I highly recommend looking at the documents that the London(?) embassy demands/accepts because certain requirements (e.g. type of birth certificate) vary by country. I can’t answer your specific questions for you (about which or how many documents to send in) and suggest you email the particular unit of your embassy to have them answered since your case is very special. Good luck with your application!
edit: I don’t think the embassy accepts boarding passes. Their list of accepted documents is pretty straight forward.

Ok thankyou so much I have a question the father of the child never go to usa he is not us citizen not us resident still I can apply for CRBA . And on child birth certificate if mention Father name of child will they ask information about father ?? Bcz mother of child is us citizen and father of child is not us citizen or permanent resident , for father still I have to fill out that form DS 5507
Both parents must be listed on the birth certificate and show up to the interview together with the child. It’s pretty common that only one parent has US citizenship when you apply for a CRBA, not an issue. We just got ours 2 weeks ago. Check on the website of your embassy which documents you need.

I always type "speak to a live agent". Then choose "technical difficulties" in the list of options. That works (there are some days that it doesn't, maybe weekends?).
Yeah that's right. That has worked for me as well

Hi! How did submitting the AOS forms work out for you at NVC? We are in the same situation and don't quite know how to fill out the forms
-
I think I typed “I’d like to speak with a representative”. Hope this works!
-
Oh sorry, I misunderstood. That’s really odd though, never heard of that.
-
We saw all the uploaded documents listed and could also click on each individual item to view it again. Maybe it’s a glitch in their system? I would try again tomorrow to see if the problem got resolved on its own. If not, you can still upload/add the missing evidence now.

Any other mid/late February filers still in the first phase? We filed on 2/27, got our change of status updated to "Actively Reviewed" on 3/16 and status hasn't changed since. End of this month will be 5 months and I'm interviewing for new jobs in the US and getting a little nervous about not having her green card right away. The companies are understanding and will probably let me work from overseas, but I'd love to stay in the US (we're in the US now visiting) and get my wife on my health insurance as soon as I get hired.
Our case has been getting actively reviewed for over 6 months now (since 1/6) 🙄 We filed mid December. Are you sure your case is still at NSC and didn’t get transferred instead?

Then you need to reread the i130, because his passport information wasn't required unless he was inside the USA
We filed online and had to provide it

Sounds like you got transferred without notice if it says you’re still within processing times and the receipt date for inquiries is already Nov 16. Happened to many of us even though it said Nebraska on the NOA 1 and online at first.
Try “ask Emma” and ask for a live agent to find out. Good luck!- Chancy, Waitingfor10 and Bat man

I agree. Maybe try using a different browser or try uploading again later at a different time.

Yeah, Nebraska definitely had cases move through at crazy speeds which is insanely frustrating as cases should be handled on a first in, first out basis in my honest opinion. Though generally speaking it should still take 6-8 months for your I-130 to get processed at Nebraska (according to the offical time frame page). Mine took exactly 6 months.
5 hours ago, YYZ&MIA said:Mine took a year and a month pre covid. I have heard of someone getting approved in a MONTH RECENTLY. It for sure made my blood boil.
I agree; it’s beyond frustrating. We were really excited we got Nebraska and then found out we were transferred to CSC (~ 20 months) without any notice. Also made my blood boil.
Glad you both are done with the USCIS phase (at least for a while)!
