I dont know what will be the outcome? If not Approved I have to wait till May 2020 until I can apply under 5 year rule.
We have the same situation Me and my husband is getting a divorce now while my Citizenships is pending, I don’t have updates yet from Immigration for Interview but I had my biometrics last November. Did you get your citizenship? The officer withdraw your application?

This was my experience in case is useful for anyone:
- I was able to walk in to 26 Federal plaza in NY (info pass). They have an information office in the first floor. I explained that I needed to travel, that I needed the stamp but that there weren't any appointments available. They said that I could go back within 48 hours of my trip with proof of travel plans (printed airplane ticket) and get the stamp with out an appointment. I went back 2 days before the trip and I got it! i had to wait for about 3 or 4 hours total but it was totally worth it!
- I always thought the one year extension counted from the expiration date on the green card. It actually starts counting on the date on the one year extension letter (so my 1 year extension was ending in October!, instead of December as I had always thought). I was so convinced that it was a year from the green card expiration that I asked as many people as possible to try to prove the previous person wrong. However, this was confirmed by two different employees of Info Pass and by the immigration officer when I got back to the US
- When I got back to the US, I showed the expired green card and the 1 year extension. The first thing the officer said was "you know that this is expired" (even with the one year extension letter). So I pointed him to the i551 stamp in my passport (uff!) and I was off to home in a few minutes.
How come you still have you expired green card on you when you have a stamp? The officer took my expired green card away after he stamp my passport.

Absolutely it is nerve racking, I don't think USCIS understand how it feels in that position.
Most of my time in Dublin was spent worrying about going back through border control, as they have USA border control at Dublin Airport. I didn't even think that the agent who represented American Airlines would be clueless, they were, but they were also a trainee. Before that flight I had another flight in January from Manchester, with no GC and a mere transportation letter that cost me around £500 with the train fares and such. It is the most expensive letter I have ever possessed. The person at Manchester Airport just listened to me and understood what it was, so no major problems there. Although I do remember worrying about not being allowed on the flight and such.
That being said mindthegap has a wealth of knowledge and gave you some invaluable info, armed with that info you should be fine!
Try to enjoy your vacation, I know it's easier said than done, but try to deal with it as and when it happens.
Safe travels and have a great time!
It’s probably hard to enjoy the vacation knowing going back might have a lil problem. But I will try hard to forget about it during my trip and deal with it when it happens. Thank you for sharing your experience I will difinitely explain it to them as well if they question me and show all my proof

Not sure if this applies to the Philippines or Taiwan, however when I had my GC stolen in England and had to obtain a transportation letter to fly,, I was told by the officer at the London Embassy, if there was a problem with the airline to ask to speak to an US immigration officer, apparently they have one located at Manchester Airport. I should imagine at any international airport the same applies.
I would most certainly ask to speak to a supervisor if the agent doesn't recognize the stamp. I had that problem at Dublin Airport in April.. A new agent who hadn't got a clue about the stamp or extension letter, that is until the supervisor was called over and knew exactly what it was.
Thank you! It’s still nerveracking to fly with this type of document. But I’m going, will bring all the documents needed on this trip!

This isn’t something you should worry about. By far the stamp is way favorable to use than the extension letter and expired green card in the very few cases where they’ve been issues. Most airlines are familiar with both documents and thousands have used it and will continue to. I’ve personally used that stamp to travel and have had zero issues.
Thanks for your time to reply. I guess I’m going on my trip majority says it’s fine! I’ll bring all the documents needed for this trip!

If you encounter an idiot, show them this link HERE and point them to page 39. If the problem persists ask for a supervisor and request that they confirm with the RCLG.
It is ALL in that document, which is - for every single commercial airline flying to the US - the bible with regards to acceptable documentation for boarding a flight to the US.
That’s definitely what’s on my mind what if I incounter the person that doesn’t know what I-551 stamp is or a jerk! That would be a bum! I will print those information and highlight about the I-551 stamp! Thank you!

I finally got my I-551 stamped on my passport and of course they took my expired green card away. My concern is what if the airline is not familiar with the stamp! I heard bad stories about flying abroad they only had a stamp and the airline cancel thier trip due to expired green card! I’m going to Philippines next month stop over in Taiwan. Is anybody flew Eva Airways with I-551 stamp only?

Ahhh same here but flying EVA Airways! I am May filers too by the way. I’m hoping I’ll get my green card soon I HOPE!

When are you leaving and what airline? I have the same situation and leaving to Philippines this November😬
-
I see! Thanks for the input! If I don’t get my hotel refund I might go. It’s just scary to travel with invalid green card especially these days the Immigration is been wierd lately!
-
Hello you all! I have a coming trip to Philippines this November bought the tickets and hotels already. The problem is my green card was expired, I renewed it on May got my I-797 Notice of Action and got my Biometrics done! Called the USCIS and the guy told me my status is good no interview I just have to wait 11 months more or less for my green card. What I’m worried about is returning back here in US and checking in going back with expired green card and I am aware of passport stamp I-551 for travel. I’m might not able to come back because of my status, a piece of paper stating that my green card was extended is questionable. My husband told it’s too risky which is right! And my lawyer advised me not to fly with inactive green card so I’m really drained about my situation! Whoever experienced this please advised me! I would appreciate it!

Thanks!

There is no marriage record in the USA, that in an error on the consulate's web site. Follow the next step for the marriage certificate, that is the only record available in the USA. I can only assume someone copy and pasted the record comment, edited it to say marriage certificate and forgot to delete the original. BTW, don't expect the original to be returned, I know they never returned ours.
Thanks to you! I think your right, cos I tried to email them about it, but they only responds about the Marriage contract/certificate which is weird. I have all the requirements except the "Marriage Record" I will send it and I will see how it goes. They should update their website cos they make people crazy!
-
Can you tell me why you need a marriage record, by chance, instead of a certificate, which you already have? If you want it for AOS, a personal photocopy or another official copy from the court should suffice.
I want it for my requirements of "Report of Marriage" to Philippines they need my Marraige Certificate, Marriage Record and etc. I also email the Hawaii Philippine Consulate if they will accept my Marriage Certificate because I have a hard time getting the Marriage record and this is what they responds ;"Ma'am, a marriage contract /certificate issued by the State of Hawaii is required for report of marriage. It can be ordered online via hawaii.gov.
Hope this helps. Thanks."
I don't think they know a Marriage Record either. I just send all my documents without the Marriage record thing will see how it goes.

Typically when you apply for a license, you will give it to the officiant that married you on the day of the marriage - they sign and fill it out, and either they or you will return it to the county clerk of the court in which you married. You can then go back to the same place you obtained the license and request a copy of your marriage certificate. This usually bears most of the info that was on your marriage license and has a seal of some kind. See here: http://health.hawaii.gov/vitalrecords/how-to-apply-for-certified-copies-of-vital-records/
Thanks for the info, I already have a marriage certificates. All I need is marriage record, and yes I will check that website. I should be able to order it online.

Hello y'all! I flew here under k1 visa married in Kauia, Hawaii and now I'm having a hard time getting a "marriage record" online. Marriage record is one of the requirements of "REPORT OF MARRIAGE". my 1st question is: Is Marriage Record and Marriage license is the same? 2nd question: what website I can get my Marriage record? Thank you!
By the way, I tried Hawaii.gov online I can't find a marriage record in there only marriage certificate. If anybody knows these things your comment is appreciated!

Hope everybody doing well here. My AOS interview is coming very soon, I start getting ready all the requirements. Now, I had my training at work month ago until now, I was confuse if the CO will ask a record of my training at work or they don't since it's not really officially a job! I'm not really sure! Is anyone had experience like this? Your comment is appreciated! Thank you!

Getting divorce while N-400 married to spouse 3 years is pending!
in Effects of Major Family Changes on Immigration Benefits

Hello y’all! Me and my husband is separate right now and processing for a divorce while my Citizenship is pending. I had my biometrics last November but I don’t have updates yet from Immigration for Interview. Now should I let USCIS know that I’m going through a divorce right now while N400 is pending Or wait untill my divorce is finalize? If I’ll get my interview before divorce is finalize I can tell the officer upfront about my situation but is there any chance I’ll get my oath or more than likely the officer withdraw my application? If anybody went through this situation before your advice is appreciated.
