It doesn't. It simply denounces the practice altogether. Doesn't mention food at all. The story of Sodom and Gomorrah comes to mind. As do passages from Leviticus:
You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.
If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.

    I would never expect anyone to leave their home unwillingly, but at the same time if you're life takes you down a path that has limited support in that area, should you handle it by forcing your beliefs onto a people or relocating to an area that your lifestyle is fully supported in all areas. I love when people who are die-hard supporters of gay rights use the statement "They should be free to pursue their lives how they see fit." It leads me right into the following questions;
Is one persons freedom more important than another persons? By forcing a general population of a state or community to accept a practice that is against its general beliefs, you have therefore stripped the freedoms of those people of being able to uphold their freedom of religion and freedom of speech. There are tons and tons of examples of companies with Christian values (Just using Christians as an example) who are being forced to pay fines, defamed, or even shut down due to the "Our way or no way" attitude of equal rights activists. It's very ironic. If someone doesn't accept your life choices, then they are somehow bigots or uncivilized and should therefore be punished...Oops, that sounds like an equal rights issue right there on it's own.
Does the pursuit of happiness mean nothing to people who are being forced to accept that which they do not believe or approve in? I mean, do you seriously not think that forcing our children, and let's even say elderly, to accept this kind of lifestyle is acceptable? Church teaches the true value of marriage, School teaches equality, Parents teach their own personal values, and the media feeds people with whatever gets more ratings. So yea, I do think tradition has a huge role in our "freedoms" because you are FORCING people who do not accept those kind of changes to ACCEPT theirs. It's not about disliking homosexuals ultimately, it's about the "It's Our way or the Highway" for the world right now in the eyes of activists.
What do activists do to those they cannot force their ways on? Harass, discriminate, protest, embarrass, and even humiliate until they get what they want. That is how things work right now. I know what you are trying to say, but at the same time, when an activist cannot win their case with simple reason, then they turn as aggressive as necessary to force their will upon the public. And do people have the right not to be harassed and discriminated against activists because they do not choose to accept their way of life?
Anti-gay laws protected a general populations similar idea of the value of marriage and what it was. For a long time, families (at least in the south) thrived on strength of family and treated marriage and courtship at a very high standard. That is being slowly destroyed now, and not by the will of the people.
So, if someone is a bigot because you cannot force your ideology on them, what does that make you for calling them a bigot and un-accepting and harassing them?
It's a two way street that will never end....

Anyway, the person said "They will forget about all the good races of people doing good things" and I don't know who she is referring to as "They", but this post is about Kurdish Muslims protecting Kobani, and last time I checked a Muslim was not a race...it is a Religion. And no one has forgotten anything, the story about the female UAE pilot who kicked the ####### out of those idiots and embarrassed the living hell out of them was all over CNN for a solid week or two. Personally, I'm thrilled to see this because not only do they deserve to be beaten, dismantled, and destroyed, they need to be utterly humiliated for their acts of barbarism they committed along the way.

Yea, I hope you don't see me as disrespecting your opinion. In fact, I take everyone's opinion as education to either debate or strengthen my knowledge on subjects.
I just enjoy a good talk on current events as I don't know a lot of people who follow the news as often as I do and I haven't gotten around to follow this part of the forums since we had so much going on with actual visa content up until early this month.
I appreciate you debating/educating me on some things though, it's been fun

I really wish he would show his face to the world so we can end this nonsense. It is getting so bad we now have radical Buddhist trying to get rid of Christians and Muslims. Who ever thought there would be such a day that the Buddhist turn radical too.

People do forget about the accomplishments and continued accomplishments of "people of cultural differences" as soon as something bad happens. Good deeds should never be overshadowed by the wrongdoings of idiots although I understand I am asking for too much from humanity.
If Muslims are so bad, why do places like Saudi Arabia and UAE hold some of the biggest expat populations.
I just spent time in Malaysia, 61.3% Muslim and I didn't have one single problem. But maybe because I didn't go over there telling them to hell with their religion and Mohammad was a child molester. It is not for me to forcefully change people's religion and they didn't try to change me either. It is simply about respect.

If you're ready, get married and file for AOS - not a fraud as long as there wasn't an intent during entry (sounds like there was not) - filing AOS on VWP is not an issue either. That's the only option that makes sense if you're ready to get married and handle medical costs of pregancy and delivery.
Once you're married and if you have insurance, you add your wife to yours and she should be covered. Your wife may be eligible for emergency medicaid that will cover birth but check out Medical if you live in Ca - it has no restrictions for immigrants.

Pretty sure that the burden of proving financial evidence for a Tourist visa is the person who is applying for it and an Affidavit of Support would not even be involved. If she has the finances and strong evidence of ties to return to the Phillipines, she should be just fine I would think.
Might need someone with a little more knowledge to correct me on that.

Unfortunately, he is absolutely correct though.
The NVC is the absolute worst part of the immigration process right now, in my opinion, for married couples. I sent an email to the NVC to correct my wife's and my name and address that THEY messed up entering on around August 15th....I got a reply from them finally this past Friday..the same day we got home from picking up my wife's visa from the courier.
There isn't any instant solution for your situation. It's a tragedy that your husband's relative passed away, but in all honesty, now you are going through the proper steps you should have gone through like every other married couple on this forum.
Your best bet at this point is to state your case to the NVC so they can forward it to the consulate and hope you have a compassionate Consular Officer who will approve it.

He entered as a Tourist with the intent of staying. Generally you can not adjust to another status using the VWP but an exception is made through a US spouse but if he said he was using the VWP to immigrate, well that is not allowed.
Anyway past history now. He abandoned his adjustment when he returned and any visiting will need to be done by you. As has been said he will need to obtain an Immigrant Visa through the Consulate, sounds like there are two choices.

Here is an excerpt from the USCIS website regarding K-1 Visas if you have not met in person :
In general, the foreign-citizen fiancé(e) and U.S. citizen sponsor must have met in person within the past two years. USCIS may grant an exception to this requirement, based on extreme hardship for the U.S. citizen sponsor to personally meet the foreign-citizen fiancé(e), or, for example, if it is contrary in the U.S. citizen sponsor’s or foreign-citizen fiancé(e)’s culture for a man and woman to meet before marriage.

We had our interview Sept.19 in Kiev, Ukraine. All went well and we received the visa today Sept.24th. My wife has to get things ready and then we head for the USA. Hope to be home the first week of Oct. I need to thank my immigration attorney: Marc Ellis http://www.marcellislaw.com/. His office was a great help and Marc wrote a brief that was great and put them in their place. Our journey took over two years but our lives together has just begun.
We got to embassy around 9am for a 9:30 interview. Line of about twenty people and they only let five people in at one time. We were in security and in the main buliding at about 9:20. We got a number and took a seat. At 9:30 they called us to a window. I could see my 300 page stack of documents on the other side of the window. They ask my wife for some more documents and told us to have a seat. About five min. later they called us back up. I had not done a DS-260 for her eight year old son. The lady informed us this would have to be done for his visa.We sit back down and they called us up to a different window about twenty min. later. The man talked to my wife in Russian and told her she could get a visa but her son could not until they had the DS-260. He explained things to me in English and told us if we could get it done today they could issue the visas. He said he would need to speak to her son. I got a little angry over this. I explained her son was only eight years old and did not have to be there for the interview. The first interview they questioned her son. The man spoke Ukraineing and English and her son only spoke Russian. He would not let my wife interuped and called over another women to interuped. Things were not translated correctly. He told us if we could file the DS-260 and get back before 4pm we could get the visas today. We left the embassy and were back at the flat by 11am. I emailed NVC for the ID/invoice number needed to compleat the DS-260. It was 11am in Kive and they are 7 hours ahead of east coast time. This meant we had to wait until 2pm to call NVC.I do not have internatiol calling on my phone but we had WIFI in the flat and I have SKYPE on my phone. I called NVC right at 2pm(7am thier time) and got the recording they were not opened yet. I called back 5 min. later and was put in the Q. After about 10 min. a man answered the phone and was able to give us the ID/invoice number. We filled out the DS-260 on line and summitted it. We got ready and called a cab. We left the flat at 3pm and we were back over at the embassy at 3:15. At first they were not going to let me in but my wife wanted me with her and they let me in. We went in and they called us to a window. We showed them the invoice number and he looked it up on line. They had the DS-260 and had my wife take the oath for her son and were good. Nothing like cutting it close.
