Well my interview is done and I now have my 🇺🇸 Citizenship. The officer was friendly and nice - she suggested trying to get an enhanced drivers license to allow me to cross the border by car while I await my US passport, and while waiting we chit chatted about sewing.

Otherwise the parking is currently doing cards as well as cash, and they don’t necessarily call the numbers in order (that made me nervous), and it was otherwise less stressful than other stages. I did laugh at my 6” thick stack of papers in my file.

It’s nice that this journey is over, though now to deal with getting a passport and an updated social security card.

I may be the last July 2020 filer to get an interview (good ol’ slow Seattle)  but I finally have an interview date!

Which is annoying and dumb. All of my interactions with the people at the office have been helpful and pleasant but this is annoying and frustrating.

I was curious who was transferred to Spokane - that seems far. But I’m in North Seattle so likely I’ll be Tukwilla if I ever leave the endless “in 3 months” loop I’ve had on my file since January.

South of Seattle gets interviewed in Portland. Others in Tukwila.
They randomly conduct few virtual interviews in Seattle where the officer is from Spokane FO.

Well, not even 24hrs after I joked about being a week out, when I signed in to check just now I discovered my interview has been scheduled! Hooray!

    Tuesday Sep 28 @ 10:15am in Tukwila

Mine also has the Spokane Field Office address at the bottom of my letter, like @swadesi above.

Note: no email or text notification, I was just doing my daily 'I wonder if anything has changed' logging in and saw the update.

Yes it’s just a projected timeline. I’ve been waiting a year now and now has said estimated time to completion “3 months” for the last 6 months. My original estimated time to completion when I submitted my paperwork was for Nov 2021 so I’m determined not to worry until Dec 2021…

This reminded me that I don’t think I’ve added myself to it. It’s super annoying to work in google sheets on my phone so if I messed up the spreadsheet I apologize.

Ah thanks. If I have success I’ll update. Sadly kids need both parents present so we have to find a Saturday Post office that lets us do a walk-in.

I think you will be Ok. They are accelerating so much and you will get something sooner than what you expected. They are already handling now end of Feb. I think you are less than 4 month away. And if they skipped other month or so like Dec, Jan, you will be even faster 😂

FINALLY!!! My status has changed to “interview scheduled”! No document displayed yet. It must have only changed in the last 20 minutes as I have been checking constantly all day. I imagine I will have the appointment letter on the online portal tomorrow.

Fingers crossed. I had to use Chrome because I’m on a Mac when I submitted yesterday. Everything was there when I pressed submit - but I’m admittedly nervous about it — I even logged off and re-logged in and it was there. 🤞🏻If it looks gone when I login next week I’ll call USCIS to make sure it’s all there.
