ITS ALL DONE!!!! Oath Ceremony today at the US Federal Courthouse, (50 new citizens from 20 countries) very impressed with the organization, professionalism and genuine congratulations from the judge, USCIS staff, Court staff and all who participated.
Could never have done this without Visa Journey, thanks to all who answered questions and special thanks to the people who put together all the information in the guides. We followed these line by line, to the letter, never used an attorney or agency, did it all ourselves according to the information on this site in 5 years, 5 months. AGAIN THANKS TO ALL!

APPROVED! Interview today at the Minneapolis USCIS office - Things were very smooth, had a 7:30 interview, called at 7:50, done at 8:10. EVERYONE, Security, Check-In, Interviewer were very professional, friendly and respectful. She was asked 6 questions, did the reading and writing test on an iPad on the desk and then was asked many of the personal questions from the application.
Now just waiting for the Oath letter and schedule.

No, Our status was stuck at "Fingerprint Fee Was Received" until is change to approved. We never received anything regarding an interview or scheduling of interview. In early December I submitted an service request online and received a response about 3 weeks later that said an someone was reviewing the case they would contact me in 60-90 days. That was probably 4-6 weeks ago. If you haven't already I'd contact them.

Greg_Dubai reacted to Hank_ in K-2 to Follow - Philippines - 2 questions
Looks like you found your way to the Philippines forum... welcome.
1 - Green Card is in her married name correct? Yes having copies of your marriage certificate will be adequate for clearing immigration. Just a note: You report your marriage to the consulate representing the state you live in, not to NSO.
2 - No document is needed from the father for her son to travel to the USA, in the Philippines the mother has sole custody of a child in this situation.

Thanks Maria&Seve and hardrockangel, appreciate the replies

Greg_Dubai reacted to Unidentified in Packet 3 Question
Every embassy is different and some only ask for the DS-160. But if your embassy asks you to fill all those forms in that's the best thing to do

Greg_Dubai reacted to hardrockangel in Packet 3 Question
Yes you need both..ds160 fill it online..while ds156 need to print then fill it up..goodluck

Greg_Dubai got a reaction from Teddy B in tourist visa to visit boyfriend
Based on experience from other Filipinos I know it is a big advantage for approval to have traveled to other countries and returned.
I think it would be a mistake to not be truthful with the Interviewer.

Greg_Dubai reacted to Hank_ in Received RFE after receiving Notice of Approval
You had gotten a RFE regarding the Letter of Intent to marry and had responded to that and USCIS received it on 14 Oct? Now you received the NOA2 stating you are approved. Sounds like the government at it's best.
I would not rely on the info on the online system. I would suggest for "what is next" to contact NVC 7-10 days after you received the NOA2 and make an inquiry about your MNL # . If everything is actually approved at USCIS this is where your case file will go next. There is a link below in my signature with details for contacting NVC and for the process in Manila, follow the flashing arrow. (if NVC keeps stating your case file has not arrived from USCIS it may be good to contact a tier 2 at USCIS)
Once you have your MNL # it will be ROCK n ROLL time!
And once you do have your MNL # ... pop over to the Philippines forum, you will get better answers relating to the process at USEM.

Greg_Dubai got a reaction from jadegreen in Still haven't received NOA1 for K1 visa after a month...
You should receive an email and/or txt within a few days to a week of the Lockbox receiving the packet? See my timing below.
Did your fiance include form g-1145? Did your fiance have tracking on the package?
