    - ROC and N-400 process are different.  ROC is rarely conduct interview, so the  burden of proof is on us and more documents ( particularly financial intermingling)   you provided as a proof of  genuine marriage, less chances for RFE and interview.  That is the reason to provide bank statements ( to show that we share responsibility together), IRS tax transcripts and pictures.

But N-400, you will go for interview and  will have chance to produce documents

It is up to the individual to add more additional documents, but bank statement or pictures are not needed and you can bring those during interview and if they ask for them, you can produce them, but they rarely ask.

However,  original birth certificate of foreign born citizen is important.

    Hi,

I just checked my account in the DHS-USCIS page and it's updated the status, we got approved without interview!

Happily the USCIS tracker didn't have a glitch . My case is from VSC and was sent to my local office in Charlotte, NC.

    Cheers!

    Hi everybody,

I just got a message from the USCIS tracker that says "New card is being produced", so I went to the DHS USCIS page and checked my account, but there is not updated yet.

Not sure If was just a glitch in the USCIS tracker but I see the bright side and I want to think that they are working in my file. My case number starts with EAC180620*** from VSC, but was sent to my local office in Charlotte, NC in February 2018.

Maritah reacted to KimchiLumpia in K1 lengthy process... Why though?? We need answers...
For the OP and anyone else reading this, filing for a K1 Visa, an eventual AOS and ROC is a process in patience.

The process with make you furious, frustrated, angry, and in disbelief.  Everyone before you has felt the same way in the process.  Just hang in there.

Some pointers for others starting this process:
Never plan your wedding, buy airline tickets, or reserve a reception hall until the visa is in-hand.  RFE's, incorrectly paid fees, incorrectly completed applications and the such will set things back even further.  Only cement your plans when the Visa is in-hand. Don't 100% put faith in the time-line here on VJ.   It is just a guide. Realize, high immigration fraud countries take longer to process vs. low immigration fraud countries. Make sure to find your country's portal page on VJ, and learn all you can from VJ members from your specific country. Make sure to view VJ on computer vs. cell phone.  There are features on VJ that you can see on a computer you can't see on cell phones. Get familiar with VJ website.  There is a lot of information on here that many people don't even know about: reviews of your country's consulate, member's K1 Visa interview experience, and a lot more. Good luck to you and your fiance!
