Wait 2 weeks, and then call them. Wait on the line, they give you a few options and then the Spanish options, and then some more options after that. You need to choose from the second lot of options. Then just ask for your case number and they'll give it to you.
yeah, that was all I did, I waited two weeks, then started calling..
some days you get booted out of the queue due to excessive call volume, just keep trying
you will punch some buttons, bet transferred, and finally speak to a human, and get your case number.
my NOA2 was the march 3, I was notified on the 9th that it was then being sent to NVC,
our case # was created on march 17
it was in sydney last week and we had our interview date assigned on the 27th.
oh, and this link may be useful on the police check
http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/527738-australian-federal-police-check-issues/
my fiance had to go in 3 times before they got it right.

we sent most of the packet 3 stuff in with our initial application, may have helped speed things up.
-
we got our date, April 29th!
-
2 months? wow.. I was hoping processing time at the consulate would be faster.
-
I tried calling today and got an automatic message saying due to high call volume, call again later, then it hung up on me
-
we received out NOA2 email last night!
-
Please complete your timeline, as it helps everyone help you. Thanks
they haven't even filed yet.. nothing to fill in.
-
they seem to be fixing the site, I can now see my case status again
-
I should add... when I log into my account, I can check my case status now, but as I said above ,it is still only showing my NOA1.
-
I got blasted today with text messages and emails, got all excited thinking it was my NOA2, and it's just my NOA1 all over again?
-
why are you seeking expedited processing ?
it's barely been a month since you sent in your package

anyone else having issues with the changes to the USCIS site?
I click on "my case" and it doesn't provide me any information, I get a a box that says "-My-" that I can X out, and when I do, it says "your case status:" and nothing else.I have tried 2 different browsers and no luck

has any one else noticed drastic jumps in their timeline estimate? mine keeps drastically changing and is now showing that it should have been completed by now when it originally showed late January.
I realize it's only a guesstimate, but this seems way off
-
I printed mine out in groups on 8x11 paper, so there would be 4 pics per page.
just used a color laser printer and printed on normal paper. no need for wasting photo paper.

when I try to view or edit my timeline, it gives me this error
Timelines Error: The database indicates you have two timelines! You seem to have more than one timeline in the database.
Please contact an Admin by clicking here to have one of these timelines deleted.
When this is done you will be able to access your timeline again.the "clicking here" is this link http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?&act=Msg&CODE=04&MID=11749
but all that does it take me to the main forum page.

you have to have proof to get the license?
if you don't have a car, what are getting insurance on ?
in maine you have to show proof of insurance to register a car, but it has nothing to do with getting your license.

as an ordained minister, it all depends on the laws where the marriage is happening, and they require for an out of state officiant.
I did a wedding in NY, I didn't have to provide anything, I did one in Massachusetts and I had to fill out a form and register with the town office a month in advance.
this link explains illinois laws and what is needed for your friend.

this just keeps getting more fun...
-
oh, ok. thanks!

(the form requests a letter from your employer, but many people are not able to obtain this)
where does it state that I need this? I don't see it on the I-134 form

Nothing gets sent to the NVC for a K-1, so no need to worry about that one.
Some consualtes send out packets with instructions and forms to send back to them or bring with you to the K-1 visa interview. The consulate can ask to see an original of any document you provided a copy of, but does not mean they will absolutely ask to see the original. You do not have to give them your original. They can keep a copy for their file.
but I'm in the US... she is in Australia, what am I supposed to do? send her all my originals/certified copies "just in case" ?

ok... my fiancee lives just outside of melbourne.. what exactly does "Police certificate from all places lived since age 16" entail ?

Question - Does font size matter for I-129f attachment to Q.34a?

brief is better, keep it simple.
I didn't go into details other dates and locations on mine, and maybe just a couple of words describing the circumstances.
