  1. congratulations to everyone that heard good news this week!!!! time to party :dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing:

but guys, i have a question....where do i begin searching for jobs?:cry: i got so wrapped up waiting for the EAD and now that its about to come, i am clueless where i should start. is the craigslist the most viable tool to start with? any sites you guys can recommend? would love to hear some suggestions :goofy:

have a happy weekend all january filers!!!! we deserve it!!!

Depends on what kind of job you are looking for. I'm on indeed.com, monster.com and google search for jobs in Atlanta, friends, family members. Im not sure about jobs on craigslist. the only thing we bought on craigslist was our lovely puppy and washer & dryer.

  2. we send the AOS thru express but weren't there in a day. we used the

    USCIS
    Attn: FBAS
    131 South Dearborn- 3rd Floor
    Chicago, IL 60603-5517

i think its still a box where uscis pick it up. just track it with usps tracking. you could also ask the post office. i won't send anything express anymore just a waste of money. i make sure its insured.. good luck.

where are you from in Germany?

  3. my case status changed a couple of days. we sent the papers in in January 2014. So from mid January to the testing and interview aprox. 76 days. Now we will see when we get our interview date. Yes, some waited 6 months and still had to go to the interview. Only if you receive a interview waiver letter there won't be an interview. They are responsible for all of Georgia and Alabama and are therefore the busiest office in the Southeast. just be patient u will get your interview.

  4. Whats a BBA?

I am a specialist critical care nurse. Did my general nursing studies then went back to do my post graduate specialist nurse course to be a Intensive care nurse. Never a dull moment on the ICU always someone codeing.

Plenty plenty jobs for nurses and good pay too. I use to travel nurse in UK and that was good pay rates . Found out here that travel nurses earn about 400-550$ Take home a day for a 12 hour shift. So yes I am just doing the paperwork to join Travel nurse Agency here too as well as the permanent job I will be starting on the 14 April. Had a few agency's contact me offering work. That's a good incentive for me to travel nurse agin lol. Is money not a motivator or what!!

oh wow thats nice. my dad is a nurse/therapist in switzerland and make a whole lot of money(that was his motivator to travel back and forth). I know there is a need of nurses and doctors in the states, too. congratulations.

I'm a graduated Bachelor in business administration and international management. I would love to work in that but i might start over new and go to a nursing school. OR do my master MBA….BUT first a job just to save up some money for college.

  5. I received the note a couple of days ago. I have some friends going thru the same process in Atlanta. Some waited up to 6 months. Some just a couple of weeks. Im not really worry about the interview. I have my EAD/AP thats all i need for now. GC will come when it comes. It gives us more time to collect more bonafides and move into our new house. Patience is the key….
