shippingforecast got a reaction from K@S in Ongoing Relationship Evidence - Facebook message count
In my personal opinion, no, but please bear in mind that I am very overly cautious (at least as far as this process is concerned).
The reason I don't think so is because although it displays a high number of messages, it doesn't establish the frequency of the messages over a specific time period - thus proving an ongoing, established relationship. I know it would be unfeasible to send tens of thousands of messages over a very short period of time, but it wouldn't be impossible. I chose portions of conversation from each month of our relationship over a two year period to demonstrate the length of time we had been speaking and involved with each other.

shippingforecast got a reaction from Cat5storm in Fighting Back Against NVC I-864 Nitpicking
Just thought I would share some information I came across whilst trying to research the NVC backlog for my immigration blog. Firstly - apologies if this information is old hat, I did a fairly comprehensive search for similar threads but couldn't find anything specifically pertaining to the below.
We sent our IV and AOS paperwork into the NVC thirty-one days ago now, and like other users riding out their sixty day wait, are absolutely terrified at the thought of receiving a checklist and having to wait a further sixty days, which we can ill afford. We are mostly worried about the I-864 and supporting documentation for AOS, despite having checked the form several times over, with a fine toothed comb so to speak.
Whilst researching for a future blog article, I came across the minutes for the most recent meeting between the American Immigration Lawyer's Association and the National Visa Center, which was held on November the 4th, 2014. The minutes were revised by the Department of State and uploaded to travel.state.gov in December. The minutes don't really provide any information on the backlog that hasn't been discussed ad nauseam on this site before - but the following points around the I-864 make an interesting read, as I recall seeing a fair amount of posts in which users have been subject to the same issues.
Hopefully, the below answers given by the NVC to questions posed by the AILA might be able to assist some users that have reported AOS checklists for minor discrepancies - chiefly leaving non applicable fields blank, total income not matching income on tax returns, etc. I am of the opinion that if we do indeed receive a checklist for something along these lines, I will take the time to contact the NVC, ask to speak to a supervisor and cite the below points to them, as applicable, as well as contacting our state representatives.
Why? Because I am tired of logging into this forum and seeing families kept apart longer than necessary for small mistakes such as leaving non applicable fields blank that have absolutely no bearing whatsoever on the outcome of the case. With that in mind, arm yourselves with information and challenge the NVC when they fail to follow their own purported policies and guidelines. If we can alter the way in which even one overly narrow-minded pencil pusher approaches their work in applying common sense and reasonable judgment, we may spare thousands of families the agony of being placed at the back of the queue for next to nothing at all. In the NVC's very own words, below - all the sponsor needs to do is prove that they make enough to support their household and the intending immigrant, and nothing more.
The more salient points are highlighted. Though this meeting pertains to cases with lawyers attached, it is a reasonable assumption that processes and procedures discussed below are applied to all cases. The minutes in their entirety can be found here; http://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/AILA/AILA%20NVC%20November%202014.pdf
    Happy reading and good luck.
Affidavits of Support, Form I-864 AILA: Members report receiving correspondence from the NVC, including the returned Form I-864, Affidavit of Support, requesting that all blank spaces on the form be filled with “N/A” rather than left blank. According to the Form I-864 instructions, if an item on the I-864 is “not applicable” or the answer is “none,” the sponsor is to leave the space blank. Please confirm that the NVC does not require “N/A” or “None” to be placed in all blank spaces on Form I-864. NVC Answer: Confirmed AILA: AILA members report numerous situations in which the NVC has returned Forms I-864, Affidavit of Support, when there is a discrepancy between the sponsor’s current income and the income indicated on the sponsor’s last filed federal income tax return. Under INA §213A(f)(1)(E), a sponsor must simply demonstrate “the means to maintain an annual income equal to at least 125 percent of the Federal poverty line” based on his or her household size. Moreover, there are many legitimate reasons why a sponsor’s current income will not match the income reported on the lastfiled tax return. Please confirm that sponsors are only required to submit documentation sufficient to demonstrate that they are able to maintain an annual income equal to at least 125 percent of the Federal poverty guidelines for his or her household size which includes the sponsored alien, and that it is not necessary for the sponsor’s current income to match the amount reported on the last federal income tax return. NVC Answer: Confirmed. Please note that the Department of State Visa Office has recently reviewed the NVC’s I-864 processes and procedures and has identified some areas where changes will be made. Moving forward, if the NVC determines that the information submitted is objectively complete and if taken as true would satisfy the affidavit of support requirements, the case should move forward. The goal is to reduce processing delays associated with the “back and forth” between the applicant and the NVC on affidavit of support issues .NVC will work closely with posts to ensure that changes in NVC’s processing do not result in an increased burden on posts (e.g. requests for additional evidence related to the affidavit of support ). AILA: While data listed on the Affidavit of Support and in the supporting evidence must be accurate and consistent, where the evidence submitted satisfies the statutory requirements and a discrepancy is de minimis, please confirm that examiners are able to and are encouraged to exercise reasonable judgment in allowing the application to move forward. NVC Answer: Confirmed. This will be addressed as NVC reviews processes and procedures. See above.

I do not mean to offend, but you really need to improve your English. You've been here for years now (according to your short, repetitive answers) and you can barely make yourself understandable.
There's a lot in this process that you would understand if you had learnt enough of the English language.
If you answered the interview questions in a similar way that you did here, I can see why they would be suspicious.

At least twice people have given you questions that they needed you to answer in order to better help you. Without your answers, what this looks like is that you care more about dealing with a green card, rather than help dealing with your marriage. Your responses have only been more questions about the green card.
Can you please answer the appropriate questions and give more detail/information so that people can better help you? I know there could be a language barrier, but if you don't answer, it sounds fishy, and we don't condone fraud.

I'm going to ignore the fact it does sound like all you want is a green card and focus on your marriage. How have you been surviving?
    Where have you been living?
If you and your husband have not been together for three years but are trying to be, then I don't understand what you've been doing all this time.
    Things to remember.
    - you are officially out of status and illegal in america.
    - a green card for you is based on a bonafied marriage that is real and works, yours isn't working so high chance for denial again.

Sounds like you're more about the green card rather than the marriage. Marriage first, than worry about the green card. Where are you living? How are you surviving? Are you certain that you're still married? Is he in contact with you?

You are out of status now and need to return home. Without a genuine marriage to your petitioner, you have no path to a green card.

Scanner and email? They surely have a paper copy of what was filed. I would go with what you have and not bring up the other unless asked. Then if you manage to have a newer return, get it out.
London is not one of those difficult consulates. Much more flexible than most. They do have to follow the rules, but you have read the rules yourself. The reference is the Foreign Affairs Manual, by the way, if you need to say the source.
It is possible that the transcript is not available due to an investigation. Once when I ordered (mail version) I got two and notification that my most recent would not be available until November--eight or so months after filing. I had submitted a statement with mine asking for a penalty for underpayment be waived, so figured mine had gone to the sob story department before it was finalized. (They add a penalty when enough was not held out during the year and you owe a bunch at filing time.)

While it may not be required since you signed and submitted the I-864 before taxes were due, why not take a newer version if you have one? Your spouse can scan and email it to you so you have updated info to show. She can also download a transcript from the IRS that would be easy to email. Then W2s wouldn't be necessary.

Those lines on the I-864 (I think 13 a b c) are to be taken exactly as they appear on Line 22 of the 1040. The individual income of the sponsor is reported in Section 6, number (5?) If I am remembering the line number correctly.
On the I-864A, it's the same concept. My current income is ________ should be whatever one can prove with a W2, employer letter, or pay stubs. The tax return lines are for whatever line 22 says on form 1040 joint tax return. They do not adjust their joint tax info to match their individual income. They do prove their separate income with something else because the tax return does not differentiate and lumps it all into one pot.
Everything you want to know about the I-864 from the horse's mouth. Skip to about page 23 for the part you are interested in, as well as the last paragraph on page 19. http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/86988.pdft
Note several references to the validity at the time it was signed is what they are to go by. They are supposed to accept it unless there is strong reason to think something other than the passage of time has changed. That tells me that if the form was signed in Dec 2014 with a 2013 tax return, then simply the "passage of time" is no valid reason to ask for a tax return only required three weeks ago. And by reading the interviewing officer's instruction manual, you can better understand the rules. You can quote the old "passage of time" thing saying it had to be valid on the date signed--full stop.

United is part of Star Alliance, which means that Lufthansa handles them in FRA, wihch is one of the best airports in the world for connections. I wouldn't waste a second worrying about it - you won't have to collect your baggage in Frankfurt, since it'll be transferred to your US flight automatically. You'll only need to collect it at your point of entry in the US. All in all, FRA is a better option than EWR in your particular case.

You shouldn't. Generally a false checklist is generated when they receive one complete package, because they often don't check to see if they have the other one in the building.
A false checklist wouldn't have any bearing on the processing time of your case, anyway.
