I'm not sure what process you mean. If it's just petition, the first step, you don't need it but to the interview you will have to bring it and yes, if you lived somewhere 6 months or over, again you need to bring it. It's not difficult to order it from Germans. They are usually quick. Go to the website. It has all the info. There is English if the information you need can't be found in English, just drop the link into google Chrom and translate. You will understand what you need to do https://www.bundesjustizamt.de/DE/Themen/Buergerdienste/BZR/FZ_node.html

Are you serious? That sounds a little bit out of line. I am confident there are very many members on visa journey who connected first online across continents, having never met prior. After that they traveled to see each other.

Having met on Facebook Isn't a red flag if people keep seeing each other  in person after that.

Interesting article - and why am I not surprised by the errors on the test? Because I had to read through the incredibly poorly written, badly organized, cryptic messages disguised as 'letters' and emails from USCIS during the various stages of my own immigration journey. Their correspondence is an exercise in how not to say anything while making it look like you are saying something. I often thought I should propose to them that I become their official letter writer and prepare standard, intelligible letters for which they can just fill in the blanks as required so when someone received correspondence from USCIS they weren't left scratching their heads and saying, 'huh'? .

Maybe the price went up as it did for some other petitions. The filing fee is actually $535 now. Could you call them and find out?

If you do have to start everything from the beginning, I would suggest you also to organize your case better. Put a cover letter that lists all the items you include, insert tabs to make it easier to navigate or they might miss something. Attach together itineraries and copies of boarding passes. I made copies of passport pages with stamps, then printed out the e-mail where we discuss the trip, then itinerary where the particular trip was listed and the one we discussed, and I attached a copy of the boarding pass to the same itinerary. So I clipped together all the possible info about each trip separately for them to better navigate through the evidences. I did that in a chronological order. Do you have phone call records. If you met in the US, you might have called each other before going on a date, right? Attach all the possible evidences you could possibly think about. If you think they might not understand what kind of evidence it is, then write an explanation on a paper and attach it to the evidence. We never had pictures with dates recorded on them. I just wrote on the back side the dates and explanations.

I don't think so. It is not a requirement. More over, some spouses are not able to come due to different kind of reasons. Also, I read before someone already asked the same question here on VJ. The spouse will not be allowed to be present during the interview anyway. Correct me if I am wrong.

So, you withdrew the K1 because the embassy put you in AP.  And within weeks have dropped Irina, your fiance, and are contemplating another woman?
Yet, you were upset about the embassy's indecision?  Sounds like they made the right decision for Irina.

People have been telling Trump to remain silent for decades. I already disapprove of liberal judges legislating from the bench. He tweet just reaffirms he knows what is going on in the court system. Same as with the media and our educational system.  This judge that stopped the "ban" is an activist judge. He has no interest in protecting the constitution.

I disagree. The problem we have with many judges is that they end up legislating from the bench. Their job is not to change the laws via their ruling, but rather rule according to the laws. This is a big problem and has been for a long time now. Conservatives are well aware of it.  The constitution is not a living breathing document that changes according to the views of judges. This is why trump supreme court pick is so great. He rules based on the constitution….not how he feels.

The 2nd amendments only chance of falling will be from a "liberal" supreme court. This also applies to abortion.

Your faith in the courts ruling according to the constitution is naive…IMO.

Gee, I never said I was talking about you. We all speak from our own experiences. I can only say what I have experienced, the same as you. I wish you well in your life...wherever you are...
I have read in the news that the illegals don't get free stuff. I cry BS. In the cases (which are hundreds at least) I have seen, the mothers (who are usually left with the kids, and usually 3-6 of them) while dad goes off with some other woman, usually in another state. Or, if he works, it is under the table, so they don't pay taxes because they are not citizens. The mother gets free housing, food, utilities, health care, the kids get everything free at school plus free Christmas, food on Fridays and on and on. The working poor legal folks don't get squat. If they get a raise, benefits are taken away, and the people are worse off. I'm just saying, something is wrong with this lifestyle. We should do more to help the working poor who are citizens here before we spend tons on illegal folks. And I gotta say we need to help the vets more too.

Have you not been watching what is happening in Europe? How much experience have you had with other cultures that come here? Our country is already going under with the burden of people using the system as a welfare lifestyle. And, yes, I have seen it for years and years in my job, being overseas, being married to two men from two different countries. Having all the illegals here is already taxing the system...take a look at California. They are sinking the economy. I have no problem with people coming here legally. But, OMG, do you know what would happen if we opened our borders? How would you propose supporting all these people? I am not trying to argue with you, but to understand how you could possibly think we could accommodate the entire world here...financially, job-wise, all of it. We are not unlimited in our resources.

I actually found one time online an immigration officer manual where there were  red flags listed....I could never find it again though. Then I listened to an interview of an immigration officer. He said that before they would consider that a red flag but not nowadays, as they look at other signs as well in addition to this one and most likely it is not a red flag any more. I think this interview should be still on youtube. I met one girl one day who got married to a US citizen who was 30 years older than her. Then she divorced him...one could probably assume that the age difference could signalize a red flag, but several years later to my surprise I found out, she got married with another guy after she got her permanent GC and the guy was 30 years older than her again. So I  don't believe they look at it as a red flag alone any longer.

I think It was merely a "get back" comment at someone who mentioned to get rid of an adult child visa. The member is an F1 applicant and this is an adult child visa. I think that most parents would always like to have their children closer so that they could visit more often which would be difficult to do living thousand of thousands miles away, and maybe even would like to be able to look after and spoil their grand children in the future. Also, in many cultures when parents get old and disabled, the children take up the baton and  take care of their old parents and this is a very noble cultural feature. So I would say 'yes' for all close relatives to have the opportunity to reside in one country and get together which would be difficult without the respective immigration law.

I'm still trying to calm down right now,she was crying so hard about all of this,I told her that I really love her no matter what but we both need to calm down to make the best decision possible.Shes asleep right now because it's night time there due to the time zone difference.I've seen her sacrifice alot to be with me so I don't think she had I'll intentions, and when I've visited her I felt like she was the best woman I've ever met.I know there are other women out there but it's like my heart only wants this one girl.Your advice has calmed me down alot,I still haven't made my final decision, but I definitely need more time to calm down.Thank you so much for not being a heartless person, and seeing it from both perspectives instead of just telling me to give up.Thats the problem most days anyways if people don't want to build there relationship, they'd rather just throw it all away and get something new,and I know sometimes that's the best thing to do,but sometimes it's not.

There is no existing vetting process for some of these people. It is reasonable to temporarily stop them from entering the country until one is in place. These people are from countries where anti US terrorist groups exist. I think it is reasonable to have a system in place to check these people's histories to make sure there are no red flags. I am all for immigration. In fact we need immigrants for the future of our country but we can't just have a free for all.

So this is doing exactly what it was intended to do.   Further screen people from those 7 countries at passport control.

All the EO says is that they will face further screening at the border and in the meantime no further visas will be given out until they get a new plan in place to further screen them.

This is is exactly why he campaigned on and exactly what Americans wanted.

It's only stressful because of the hysteria from the media and leftist organizations looking to fundraise off this matter.

109 people detained at the border and all but 12 have been released as of this morning.    There is absolutely nothing wrong with checking people further from questionable areas deemed by even the obama administration as shady and questionable.

Yes, it will hold up in court.  LPR's can be denied entry to USA.  Only USA citizens cannot be denied entry, but they can be detained, arrested and taken into custody.

Not only is it not a permanent ban on Muslims . . . it is NOT a ban on Muslims.
Do any realize that more Muslims live in Indonesia than any other country?

That is NOT what the judge ruled!
The ruling was that persons could not be immediately deported.
They could  still be held and deported later.

But, as I understand it . . . despite the hysteria . . . there were only 100-200 people detained, out of 325,000 who entered USA on Saturday . . . and all but 12 of them are now released into USA.

I (and probably many here) have been delayed in reaching my destination by several days due to weather, mechanical problems, strikes at airports, etc.  But thousands of people did not turn out to protest my delay.

yes, they still do it. If you called and asked exactly to expedite it, they might not do it. You don't need expedite it in Frankfurt. They do it fast anyway. But you can still file there if you meet certain requirements. If your husband is legally in Germany and has German residence permit. He can file. Let me look at their website more and I will get back to you. What was their reason to say NO?

Yes, I have the same question what is in your way to file through DCF in Frankfurt. There is a huge thread here from the people who did it. Some Americans had lived in Germany with their German wives forever and then decided to move to the states. They all got processed through DCF.

"If the U.S. citizen sponsor is resident in Germany, he/she may file the petition with the Frankfurt USCIS office. For further information please see the USCIS Frankfurt website. "

Also, I read some time ago they don't do it in person any more. But it is not a problem. You can send it by mail. Before husbands could go to Frankfurt and submit i-130 in person.
