  1. Hey guys, it has been a while since we I've checked in here.

Congratulations to everyone who has received their K1's and are together at last and best wishes for those of us who are hanging in the process.

Our interview is in 3 weeks finally! There has been some delay for us a result of collection of documents and delay mailing service.

My fiancee has already started to wind up things back home and had to submit her resignation to her job.

It is all becoming so very real and we are so excited, our lives are changing and we look forward to forever.

We were wondering how long after your interview is the visa received normally?

Trusting the process goes smoothly hereon.

I had my interview in London on 11th Feb and i collected my visa today from my selected location. 10 days exact. :-)

  4. We have our visa! Now to wait for him to be released from work...

So now when u call DOS the first thing they asked u is what kind of visa u have? If u said K1 visa they tell you that u have to call NVC for that... so when u call NVC they will tell you that they dont have your case and you have to call ur embassy....

    Yes Sind, its soo annoying!!

Gai that will feel great!! No more work! Are you guys all resigning from your jobs??

  5. Yep he called back in case it was jus somone who didnt know what theywete doing and they told him we arent giving out that info for K1 visas anymore.

I was fuming lol, its only a little thing but you know what its like being stressed in this process and i was annoyed they changed their tune and wouldnt say even though they must have on their screen.

In a bad mood i sent an email tothe embassy not expecting a response but i woke up to one this morning!! They must have taken pity lol. Interview is Feb 11th at 8:30 am

    Yaaaayyy

  6. Hi guys, im a September filer too. Im just waiting for my interview in London now. Mymedical and readiness form were done three weeks ago. All forms are completed and im totally ready. Waiting for my interview date is getting me down. Anyone else here from London anr can tell me how long untill they got their appointment after submitting their readiness form???

    I miss my fiance :-(

  7. The respect for military is so true, ive never seen anything like it. I was in Krogers with my fiance when we asked an older gentlemen employee a question about the British food section, i noticed on his name tag it said 'US Veteran' under his name. When we walked away i asked my fiance why that was on his tag and was in awe that this is the norm and its so people will always recognised the fact they have served their country and treat them with the respect and acknowledgement deserved. I couldnt believe it! I was so impressed lol. Nothing like that kind of recognition in the UK. Absolutely great thing about the USA. :-)

  8. Hey,

we were approved on 2nd december, NOA" received in post one week later. Gave it one months and called NVC and was given case number. Three days later was in transit to London. Two days ago, when it had been showing in transit for four days, I emailed London embassy to tell them i had my medical booked this week and all my papers ready for interview and they confirmed I was able to carry on as i had been and attend my medical and they had sent a letter on 28th December telling mke to prepare for interview (my finace in USA recieved yesterday). Later that day after i received the email I rechecked my case status and who ever had responded to me had updated my status to from ;in transit' to 'ready' for interview.

Submitted my notice of readiness yesterday and have my medical tomorow morning in London. So my advice....pester!pester!pester! call, email, do whatever and you will get informed of things when you call up if they have been completed.

    Good Luck!! ;-)

  9. Thank you for your inquiry.Embassy records show that the Immigrant Visa Unit wrote to you on December 27 with instructions about how to proceed with your fiancée visa application. If you did not receive that letter, you need not be concerned as the instructions can be found on our website at

I emailed embassy today just to check i hadnt been too hasty because i started to panic after certain comments . I got the above response just over an hour later. It appears as soon as a case number was created it ead inputted in the embassy system here so they are immediately aware of a case. The papers in transit are the hard copy. Hope this is helpful to anyone im same situation.

  10. You're missing the part about wait until London has your file and is ready for you before you submit anything. There is a Readiness for Interview form I mentioned to the above poster.

Right, i havent submitted anything just the ds-160. Everything else i take to interview. I cant tell if your being sarcastic to be honest. Are you saying once they receive my file to send the notification of readiness?
