Hello !
I am currently looking for a job and I have noticed that most job require a background check.
I do not have my work permit yet, but I have made researches for jobs in order to start as soon as I have my work permit in hand.
I have noticed that many jobs to which I allow a background check to be done, never ever contact me back.. why is that? Can a background check be requested for a someone adjusting their status? I don't know when I will have my green card but I am doing the Adjustment of Status now.

Good Day All,
It's been 2 weeks ( March 4, 2015 and debited on the 5th) since we paid the above mentioned fees (AOS $120) and the status still shows "in process" on CEAC website.
I am worried and want to know if there are others in the same situation.
What can be done in this situation?.

About VB, its very hard to say. Based on what immigration websites are reporting F2A will not move forward for the "forseeable future" which in my view would be atleast till feb/March though i could be super wrong. I so wish i could be the guy updating the VB every month. :-)
Like papaya said, talking to a lawyer about your baby situation would be the best way.
