  1. I found some old My Little Pony horses I used to play with as a child at my grandmother's house and I sold them on ebay for $80. 15 stupid little horses! I have bought some cool stuff from ebay, too. Just watch out for those emails that look like they're from ebay and they're not. NEVER open ebay from an email. Always open a new window and go directly to www.ebay.com

It is not worth the risk and a lot of people get suckered every day. A real email from ebay will have your username in the body of the email. A fake one will say something like, "your username is included to prove the identity of the sender blah blah blah" but your username will actually not be there.

Anyway...got that off my chest. :)

  2. HI Dr LHA,

I am addressing this query to you since you have just done your interview. My interview will be 2 weeks from now and i am very confused for all the requirements that they were requiring for me.Kindly give me tips and information for compiling the requirements. Thank you so much!!

Start a new thread, sweetie, this one is really old and you aren't going to get many replies. It is *very* important to have someone double-check your list of what you will take to your interview. Start a new thread about what you will take just in case you are missing anything.

  3. Thats absolutely ridiculous. How much "evidence" do they want??? I mean come on, the fact that both husband and wife are present at the interview should be enough to prove "bonafide marriage"... When i go to my interview, ill bring my neighbors dog, as evidence, because spot will attest to barking at both my wife and I as we enter and leave our apartment. And that will prove bona fide marriage right?

    uscis

Sorry you had to go through that... Hope you get it all sorted out.

Just the husband and wife showing up for interview does NOT constitute a bona fide marriage. Anyone can turn up, do a bit of good acting (especially if they have done it before) and pretend to be married. I'm sorry that the OP had to go through this, but with the amount of fraudulent marriages on the rise I think that having to provide additional information like utilities and bank statements is perfectly warranted.

I totally agree. It's all the fakers out there that are the cause of the need for all this documentation. Always a good idea to have VJ check your list of what you're taking to your interview.

    Good luck

  4. It'll be okay, no matter what. That throat thing probably is a thyroid problem, I know someone who went through all kinds of tests for a lump in her throat and it was thyroid. She's just fine now. The medication she has to take makes her gain weight, but other than that she's fine. I'd say don't stress too much about it right now...assume the best and stay positive about it if you can. Don't freak out until you find out there is a serious problem...which there totally may not be anyway. So when you find out everything's okay you'll kick yourself for all the worrying you did. We've all been through crazy stuff. Just stay strong and find support where you can. I will be thinking about you guys and hoping the best for sure.

  5. Where was the option for narcissist???

    Ashley,

Didn't you know it was illegal to flaunt cute pictures of yourself and then accuse others of narcissism? :P

    I have cute pictures?

Oh....I get it. So I should have like, a South Park character instead?

  6. i didnt join until our K1 interview date, but even then I had to take some time to absorb all of this. at this point i enjoy taking in lots of new info, but at first it was daunting. i think people need to relax and support the noobs.

I have to agree with you there... i think the farther along we are in this process we forget what is was like at the beginning... how scary and confusing everything seemed ....

yeah, the guides are there for everyone to read but most people would rather hear from people with personal experience....

That is a great point. I have tried to make that point before, as well. I totally agree with you.
