  1. I entered the US on a K1 Visa with my 7 year old son in January 2006. After getting married I applied for both my son's and my permanent resident I-485. I received my green card in August 06 but they "lost" my son's application and are still processing it now....

Well my son's British passport has now expired and he has no other ID if we need to travel etc I can apply for a new one at the British consulate but I have to return the old one with the Visa in it, does anyone think I should or just wait until the Green card arrives?

    Thanks for your help

  2. Be careful, I applied for myself and my son but his check got sent back on it's own saying I had paid too much, so I just assumed he was included in my fee. Then after 6 months I had my interview and got my green card but there was no application for my son, they said they never received it so I am now having to apply from the start for him :crying: Just make sure you get 2 seperate receipt numbers, this is where I made the mistake. 3. I received a RFE for my i-485 requesting proof that my husband is in the Armed forces. It states on the letter that " You are ineligible for interim employment Authorization pursuant to title 8, code of federal regulations, section 103.2 until 90 days after the missing initial evidence is received"

Has anyone else had this and if so did you really have to wait another 90 after the evidence is submitted to receive your work authorization?

    Thanks

    Sarah
