j&ana got a reaction from Carpe Vinum in Going to Philippines
Her wants are not your responsibility.  No but it is my wife's. She is very close to her family and   has been planning this trip since coronavirus lockdown. My wife wants all of her family together when we visit. She is paying for all of her family expenses. My wife been working a lot of overtime and saving money for this. So, the money for her sister to go to Singapore is not a concern to me.The only thing that upset me a little was that I just wanted to have some time with just my wife and daughter before we go back to Denver. I could tell my wife no, but I will probably get the Tampo treatment.
If she "wants" to go, why isn't she doing the research instead of you. My wife sister does not have easy access to a computer, I guess she could use her cellphone. The reason I was researching for her is that I was looking at requirements for me my wife and daughter. which was easy to find info for. So, I thought I will look up information for my wife sister. But that where I do not find much info or sites have conflicting info Most info i found is about foreigner traveling to and from Philippines. Even Tho I do not like the ideal.  I do not want my wife to buy her sister a ticket and her sister gets offloaded at airport because she did not have everything she needed.

well anyways you should not marry if divorce is in your mind it does not matter if  you are thinking about a year or 50 years down the road. Yes things changes in life, but you do not marry someone thinking divorce can happen

It is true that Filipinos are very family devoted but not all Filipinas are going to choose their family over their husband. They will try to find other ways to help their family. My wife is Filipina and loves her family very much, but she knows that I cannot give money to help her family on regular basic If I am going to provide for her and our daughter. I do give her money for her family when I have extra. To help, what she did at first was make extra money by making Spanish bread and selling the bread. The money she made, she sent back to her family. A month ago, she started working full time. She likes that she is now able to help us and her family

a single Filipina getting a visa to visit  USA is pretty much impossible. To get a work visa she will have to be able to do work that most Americans can not. you could meet her in another country. However there is probably restrictions in other countries too. Your best bet will be to wait this out and go to the Philippines when  they allow it. As the saying goes it is more fun in the Philippines

j&ana got a reaction from Carpe Vinum in CENOMAR
all Filipinos applying for a visa  are required to have their Cenomar married or single
CENOMAR is for single  CEMAR is for married but most of the time it is just refer to as CENOMAR

you can use I-864 if these three things applies
    1.  you are the petitioner  of the family member being sponsor
    2. the sponsor immigrant is the only one immigrating based on the underlying visa petition
    3. you are using your own earn or retirement income

I-864ez is a lot easier to fill out and less room for mistake
when I file for my wife that is what I used

IV Packet is the beneficiary documents.

Police certificates from any country live

while other proof of relationship is not require some countries are consider high risk then other and it highly recommended to sent in more proof of relationship pictures, chat and text logs and anything else you think will help your case
only send copies to the NVC you will need original copy for interview

    For your documents
AOS packet. the petitioner will need an I-864 form fill out if you can use the I-864ez form it is the shorter form but there are 3 requirement to be met to use the form. You will need last three years of tax transcripts as one of the question on the I-864 ask you for the income on tax returns for last three year. Some countries only require the latest tax return to be sent in I will recommend sending in all three.
you will need proof of curent income . A employment letter vertify income and or copies of paychecks stubs
when sending in tax info if you send in tax transcripts you do not need copies of w-2 If you send in copies of tax returns then you will need copies of w-2 and anything else that was sent in with the tax return to the IRS
This should take care of the AOS Packet i will post another post for the IV packet

my wife is from the Philippines also and I worry a lot too while going thru this process with my wife  but it was not as bad as I thought it would be. The Hardest part is the waiting time.  This is a really good site for info and good people that will answer questions for you.
Also make sure you send a copy of the PSA marriage certificate and not the local registry copy or you will get an RFE  (Request for more evidence notice)

You should not worry so much about having joint bank or financial accounts. Me and my wife did not have a joint bank account when I file the I-130 petition for her. Most married couples that went thru the process on here probably did not either.
the wedding pictures are good. Also include  Pictures of you, your wife and her family. However you do not want to overload with pictures 5 to 10 pictures is good. Some chat logs are good too, but not to many, and not the lovely dovely ones but the ones that shows everyday life between the both of you
Copies of passport stamps, any kind of receipts like dining, gifts, wedding ring, or any other jewelry, stay at  hotels, etc., etc.
The Philippines is one of the easier countries to get approve for CR-1 and K_1 visas . You should not worry to much now. It is  about a year process and as it goes on. You will start to get worry and frustrated
What I listed above is what I send in when I file the petition for my wife. I did not include any affidavit from friends and relatives. You can include them but they do not carry that much weight and are not consider that strong of evidence

yes if you are you are just filing for your husband now and filing later for your step children you can use the I-1864ez
but when you file for your stepchildren if there is more then one child you have to use the I-864

no you will not include the jewelry with the money
you will list the article of jewelry and value
you only need to declare if you are bring cash or monetary value more then 10,000 if you only have 5, 000 you do not need to declare it,  just list the jewelry and value

No. You only need to enter passport number if the beneficiary has been to USA..Above the section it states beneficiary entry information. My wife did not even have a Passport when I file the 130 for her. Remember this is still going to take some time . So do not stress to much about Passport appointment  make it as soon as you can but you will have enough time during the process to have the passport change before your wife needs it
Hank has giving you some good advice. If you stay on top of things you could probably have the visa process done in less then a year
After you send in the I-130  start gathering stuff for the NVC part. Not much you can do to hurry up the USCIS  but wait for them to  approve petition . However at the NVC there are little things you can do to speed process a little. My wife visa took about 10 months
    good luck with everything

I will suggest the spousal visa you will need to get a  lieu certificate capacity to Marry from the US embassy in the Philippines. You will need to schedule an appointment online for embassy in manila. Cebu you can just walk in There is also 10 days waiting period in the Philippine for you to receive the marriage license. You can research if you have not done so already for marriage in the Philippines
The reason I suggest the spousal vis is that it is a better overall .Whle the K-1 visa is usually faster it is not that much faster. Also the K-1 visa is cheaper at first it will cost more in the long run
Also  CR-1/IR-1 spousal via your finance will get a 2 year conditional green card as soon as she arrives in the US. With the K1 visa that would take a while
She can visit with a tourist visa but it is hard to get a tourist visa from the Philippines especially for single females. She will need to show ties to the Philippines with enough funds in her bank account

I second a spouse visa at this point in time. It's all around better, but takes a few more months to obtain (~8-12 months vs ~12-16 months).*
    * If there's a near-adult child (ages 18-20) that will be immigrating with her, then a K-1 has advantages.

Getting married in the Philippines can be a bit of a process to get all the paperwork, but many people have done this path.
She can apply for a tourist visa at any time. She will qualify or not based on her own circumstances. It would be very difficult to overcome the required presumption of immigrant intent with a USC boyfriend/fiance, but only way to know is to try. Applying after starting the immigration process will not be easier.
If she does get a tourist visa, she can marry in the US fine if you want, but she must still intend to return home to process the visa.
