hey there! good luck for the interview! don't worry too much about it, it should go easy and painless out of curiosity...are you the beneficiary or the petitioner?
Im the petitioner. I think we are both a little worried because we thought this process would take a lot longer and I had planned to visit 2-3 more times. So far ive only gone twice, met the family and spent x-mas and new years with them. Lots of good pictures but our engagement has been short.

Checking in here. Interview is on the 18th and we are both super nervous! Im the most worried about filght delays because of the terrible weather happening on the East Coast.
-
I was told yes for anything not in english.

I have an attorney but he hasn't had to do much. With that said we got an interview date 3 months from NOA1 which probably had nothing to do with the attorney but we got no RFEs.
-
I didnt send the blank pages and had no RFEs
-
I havent really been able to get a clear answer from some of the threads here so maybe I talk to an attorney to see what they think.

My fiance has the ability to work remotely for a company in Europe. Can my fiance do this before adjustment of status or is this going to be a problem?
-
Just got word today that the embassy in Romania received and sent out packet 3 to my fiance

I think there is one couple that doesnt look like a train wreck. But in their defense im sure having a natural conversation while the world is watching is probably a bit tricky.
-
I guess I dont really understand what the problem is about rehearsing the interview (There is an entire section on this website dedicated to that).
-
One part (albeit a small one) of the reason im getting a K-1 is because my fiance would never get a tourist visa.
-
According to OP, the lady NEVER arrived in the US. After getting the K-1 Visa, she just "poofed", disappeared. Then the OP decided to walk away, "assuming" she no longer had any interest in him (which I found laughable and non-believable any stretch of imagination).
Just curious, what would you have done if your fiance blocked all communication with you and was in a foreign country? I dont see what the problem is.

The other open application is your problem

Been calling the NVC non-stop and today I got word that my case has been shipped to the consulate and was assigned a NVC, IIN, and Beneficiary Number (not sure what this is). Good luck to everyone else I am honestly a little surprised at how fast this is going. My attorney said this would take 8 months to a year.
-
Congrats! Probably want to post in K1 section, this is all us old married people, lol.
Whoops!
-
I just got my NVC Case Number and IIN today after calling a bunch and I think its not ready for the online portal because I locked myself out of the system for 15 minutes trying to get in . Also got word that my application was sent to the Consulate in Bucharest yesterday!!

I am amazed how people date someone 3/4/5 months and they plan to get married, well it explains why almost all marriages in this Country ends in divorce in less than 5 years.
My parents dated for 3 years, married for 14 and got a divorce. My dad met his current wife, they dated for 3 months and have been married for 25 and are going strong. I think age when people are married has more to do with divorce than the amount of time they dated before they were married.

I called yesterday and today and finally got a case number but were unable to give me any firm details on when the application would be sent to the consulate. I plan to call every day

I don't know but all these people frantically calling the USCIS and talking about being approved but not having any notification is starting to make me worry.
VJ still says I shouldn't expect an NOA2 response any sooner than the 20th.. which is Friday. I was not really concerned about the process because I knew it would take some time but after reading all these posts they are starting to instill fear and doubt into me!
For what its worth my NOA2 took longer than what VJ listed. I think its a little too early to start worrying.

Also, for the birth certificate, in some places I read that I need to have a translation of it in English but on the Embassy site it said something like "documents need to be translated ONLY IF they're not either in English or in the official language of the country in which the Embassy that processes the documents is situated" (aka Romania-Romanian language)
Any advice on this? I want to start gathering up everything I need so that by the time they contact me I have everything ready, pretty much
Id be interested in knowing about this as well. I had a copy of the birth certificate translated here in the United States but I don't know if that will suffice (if that is even required at all).

I feel like if you are ready for a class action lawsuit after less than a month of this you are in for a long and painful ride.
-
Yea I'm now passed my estimated adjudication time frame for NOA2 so i urge everyone to be realistic about processing timelines especially this time of year. Enjoy the holidays with your friends and family.
Just got my NOA2 text message

Feb 18th here. I will meet my fiance in Romania and I just hope the weather behaves in the United States as I will be flying from California to the East Coast. I've given myself 2 days in advance to get there in case anything happens. Super excited and nervous!
