  1. hey there! good luck for the interview! don't worry too much about it, it should go easy and painless smile.png out of curiosity...are you the beneficiary or the petitioner? smile.png

Im the petitioner. I think we are both a little worried because we thought this process would take a lot longer and I had planned to visit 2-3 more times. So far ive only gone twice, met the family and spent x-mas and new years with them. Lots of good pictures but our engagement has been short.

  2. According to OP, the lady NEVER arrived in the US. After getting the K-1 Visa, she just "poofed", disappeared. Then the OP decided to walk away, "assuming" she no longer had any interest in him (which I found laughable and non-believable any stretch of imagination).

Just curious, what would you have done if your fiance blocked all communication with you and was in a foreign country? I dont see what the problem is.

  3. Hi everybody, anyone does know about it how many days need to take to NVC sending out ur case number? We are still waiting for this. even we got notification email from our case is delevering to Embassy. Wish we can have done within 2 months with all of this hell waiting! so dissapointing being apart from our sweet heart! for me, makes me so said every day!! Wishing you good luck for everything!

Keep calling. I called everyday until I got the NVC case number. I used this number. If its busy just hang up and dial again. eventually you will get through.

  4. I am amazed how people date someone 3/4/5 months and they plan to get married, well it explains why almost all marriages in this Country ends in divorce in less than 5 years.

My parents dated for 3 years, married for 14 and got a divorce. My dad met his current wife, they dated for 3 months and have been married for 25 and are going strong. I think age when people are married has more to do with divorce than the amount of time they dated before they were married.

  5. I don't know but all these people frantically calling the USCIS and talking about being approved but not having any notification is starting to make me worry.

VJ still says I shouldn't expect an NOA2 response any sooner than the 20th.. which is Friday. I was not really concerned about the process because I knew it would take some time but after reading all these posts they are starting to instill fear and doubt into me!

For what its worth my NOA2 took longer than what VJ listed. I think its a little too early to start worrying.

  6. Also, for the birth certificate, in some places I read that I need to have a translation of it in English but on the Embassy site it said something like "documents need to be translated ONLY IF they're not either in English or in the official language of the country in which the Embassy that processes the documents is situated" (aka Romania-Romanian language)

Any advice on this? I want to start gathering up everything I need so that by the time they contact me I have everything ready, pretty much

Id be interested in knowing about this as well. I had a copy of the birth certificate translated here in the United States but I don't know if that will suffice (if that is even required at all).
