There is nothing 'inconvenient' about travelling on AP - you go into secondary processing the first time you return with it but subsequent visits I went straight through, no additional processing, it works exactly the same as a GC (which I have also returned on now)
Whats convenient about secondary inspection for an hour? This is pretty stressful for anyone with a connecting flight.

You probably arent going to find unlimited data for 20 bucks but I think T-mobile has the best prices if your phone is unlocked. There are Tmobile stores everwhere.

Yes my wife was taken into secondary inspection traveling with AP card. The "interview" was more involved than both the k-1 visa interview and the GC interview. Its definitely not very convenient to travel with the AP card and if your GC is expected to come along soon then I would wait until getting that.

We just did this and while it didn't really matter that the passport didn't match the ticket, it ended up take a little bit longer at the ticket counter trying to explain the situation to the agents for the american airline companies. European airline companies didn't even care. So my suggestion would be to get the ticket in passport name always. Immigration didn't really care about the airline ticket. All they wanted to see was the green card.

is there a dress code for female beneficiary at AOS interview?
No it doesnt matter.

Just got back from traveling with the AP/EAD card. What a hassle that was. They interviewed my wife again pretty thoroughly almost in more detail than either the K-1 interview and GC interview. Our GC arrived home while we were traveling but that didn't seem to matter.

got word today that our green card was approved while back home in Romania! so relieved. after the small fee we had at the interview we we're so worried. in hindsight w the interview was really easy. good luck to everyone else's

So our interview was today. Pretty basic stuff but the officer interviewing us was literally falling asleep in front of us. He had a real poker face too which made it all the more stressful. At the end they told us to come back with a completed medical form. I thought this would have been dealt with during the processing of the paperwork but it wasnt. So far i've called like a dozen civil surgeons my area looking for one that doesnt require a full medical but no luck so far. We just need one shot and a transcription but everyone wants us to do a full medical. Was hoping for approval but now i guess we have to wait a little bit longer. Very bummed and stressed out.
Also I kind of knew that this would be an issue but thought we were good since nothing came up. We never got a copy of the medical form back at POE so we had no idea what vaccinations were missing!

we have our AOS interview in a few hours. Feeling nervous!

I just imagine your wife wearing potato sacks for clothing

So for the interview can you just bring the application materials that you sent with the AOS file or do you need like new employment letter, updated pay stubs, etc?

Just got the text saying EAD/AP card shipped!

We filed two months after meeting in person and we are set for the greencard Interview this month, about ten months since we met for the first time . We have had no issues so far.
-
I got a text this morning that my EAD is in production

Got my interview date for July 28 Still nothing on AP or EAD.

It boggles my mind it takes 8 weeks for a marriage cert?? They printed mine out in like 5 minutes after we were married in Sacramento.

My wife is from Eastern Europe and we had no problems. I hired an attorney for the same concerns you had but it wasn't really worth it. The extent of his involvement was mailing the forms and some checklists and thats about it. The AOS paperwork seems harder and I did that myself and so far no issues there as well.

I planned a trip to romania for mid august but im getting a little worried that we wont get the documents in time Ive been in testing and interview for about a month now. No movement on anything else.
-
Yes I think thats a safe bet. The fact that its marked as incomplete seems like you need a civil surgeon to complete the rest.

On the USCIS website my I485 application was touched on the 29th of May but now its reverted back to its last activity update (testing and interview) from the 25 of may. Seems strange.

If you are sure you had all the required vaccinations at the time of your K-1 medical, then put a note on your cover letter stating that you had the vaccinations at your K-1 medical and the vaccinations worksheet is included in your file with the rest of your medical documentation.
This is what we did and we had no RFE yet (we are currently in testing and interview).

We used ECE.org. Cost about 90 dollars. For some reason the website link seems broken on my computer, but when I refresh the page shows up.
