Oh my!!! Today I have received a fantastic text message! Yes, card is being produced! I really need to work and get a CDL. I've already have a job lined up, but I was afraid they would drop me as I wasn't able to give them a timeframe of when I would get the EAD. I'm sooo relieved!
A little history about my case, as it might help others: PD 12/27. I've raised a SR on 3/17, answered with the generic response: case under review on 3/31. Was able to speak with a tier 2 on 4/7. He said there was nothing that could be done, case under review with an adjudication officer, and that I should wait a few weeks (!) for an answer. I told him a had a job offer and needed to work for financial reasons. He didn't seem to care. But... website update and text message notice of card is being produced this afternoon. Yayyy 🎉

A couple of hints for the interview. Try not to be nervous ( I know it is easier said than done ) but if you have nothing to hide just act normal. Here is the stuff I brought to the interview. I tend to over prepare so I brought a lot more than probably necessary but I would rather have had it than not.
1. Your Letter with Interview Date - Must HAVE
2. Copies of the entire package I sent - Didn't use it at all
3. Pictures - Brought a bunch of pictures but she said the ones that I submitted with the package were more than enough
4. Passports - Agent asked to see the passport and also asked for older copies of the passport though we didn't have any. If you recently got a renewed passport, I would recommend bringing your old one.
5. Bank statements, bills, etc - Although I had already submitted these with my package, the agent asked for ones with a more recent date. She had to scan this in so I HIGHLY suggest you bring these.
6. Updated pay checks - Didn't use at all
Questions:
1. Formal questions about terrorism, arrest record, etc etc.
2. How did we meet?
3. Where is your address and who stays with you?
5. We supplied where and when we got married without her asking in normal conversation
Actually we spoke about other stuff a lot. I had asked about her and her job. She had been doing it for like 15 years. At some point she told us that she is approving our application right now and we were like that's it? We prepared so much. She was like the only time that people need to be scared of her was if they had something to hide. Then the interview can be 4 hours and with separate interviews.
She said the most important thing is all in the BODY LANGUAGE. So again I would say just relax and be yourselves and comfortable with your spouse when you do the interview. The body language is key to having a smoother interview. Good luck to you all!

Yikes! Computer crashes are no fun. The letter doesn't specifically ask for I-130 or I-485 (or the AP/EAD forms). However, it does specifically ask you to bring in your combo card if you've received one by then, the i-864 (affidavit of support) along with all the docs that go with that, and other supporting docs you sent in with your original packet. We'd saved digital copies of most things on the computer, so it's not awful. But some pieces of evidence we'd sent in we are having to redo 😏
Good luck reassembling your packet! Hopefully it's not too bad for you.

Yes the letter will list the documents you should bring with you. Basically take ALL your original documents that you submitted copies of with the applications, plus extra docs for proof of bona fide marriage; essentially your bills, joint bank & credit card account statements, joint leases, joint insurance, photos, and anything else you have. They won't ask for all of this but it's just to be extra prepared. Good luck!

Haha well, hopefully you get an unexpectedly early interview (and you have time to recollect all your forms/evidence before then) 😁

There is nothing you can do about his immigration even if you divorce.
But you can do something for yourself and daughter and that is to move on.

Thank you !! I'm screaming like a wolf in here 😜😜😜. I keep on checking the receipt number to make sure it's mine 😂😂😂
For those who are still waiting, I ended up sending a letter to my senator last week ( Thursday) specifically about the work authorization .The staff told me they had assigned a case worker to my file to reach out to Uscis . Not sure if they had contacted them already though. They are supposed to email me when they do. An option to consider for those that really need their Eads and have waited for a whileeeee.

Congrats on your interview! I know it's a big relief. Yes, the interview letter is very specific and tells you everything you need to bring. Have fun re-gathering those docs if you hadn't made a copy. We didn't and its been such a joy recompiling everything 🙃

I received a letter this Saturday saying that after a review of my "initial evidence" for file I485 , I would need to bring an updated medical exam ( gonorrhea test missing) for my interview. It was dated 03/28. I hope that means they are finally looking at my case.Im definitely feeling relieved.
Hoping for more updates soon !!

Let me tell you, I finally learned that it takes 30 days to review my case after 20 Minutes of negotiations with a tier 2. I said I was going to file a complaint ...suddenly he started to communicate with me and give me dates.I am beyond done with Uscis .
