Received my green card in the mail yesterday! All set! And maybe one day I will apply for citizenship.. but after this taking so long (we had a child since I sent off the paperwork and he's now 17 months old) I'm  going to take a break.

The dates are also reflecting what date they were processing for the reported date, not now. At the current report, on Sept. 30th they were processing July 27th, 2016 applications.

We happened to discuss this on this forum too. It's a trick. This is as of TODAY, not September. Because real people report real dates here, now they report around 08/10/16. Back in September they were reporting June 2016. So as of November 30, 2017 USICS is approving applications filed on 08/10/16, however you will see this date "as of 09/30/17" in USCIS chart which will make us think the situation is better but it's not. We're not stupid.

I took my biometrics letter, and they did verify the date I had them done with me, verbally... But they didn't actually look at the letter. So I think you should be absolutely fine. They just asked for my GC, my extension letter and my passport.

Sidenote, as I know it's been mentioned and questioned by others - The officer originally stated that they would take my GC card, but then on the advice of a supervisor, they cut the corner of my GC and returned it to me. But I know some places have retained the card.

You won't be illegal, it's just a misdemeanor to not have proof of residency should a cop feel like ever pinning that charge on you one day lol. Plus it's just helpful to have in case you need to travel.

You'll get an email from London's visa unit with a tracking link. You can then check delivery progress on the courier's website. The tracking link doesn't always work though, so you might need to copy and paste the link into your web browser.
Two days after my CEAC status changed to "Issued", I received the email around late afternoon/early evening. I was able to pick up my visa the very next day from the depot in London. If you need to call someone, it will be the depot location you chose when you paid for the courier.

Yeah, it's weird. I think I heard that it was for any prior drug convictions so they'd know whether to do urine tests.
