  1. Hello fellow visajourney members,

My husband went for his 2nd interview on 1/24/18 in Dakar, Senegal.  At the end of the interview they instructed him that we need to update our DS260 and then schedule a follow up appointment.  However, the DS260 is locked for updates.  About an hour after his interview, they emailed him the DS5535 Supplemental Questionnaire.  He filled it out and emailed it back the same day.  Does anyone know if the DS5535 is being used instead of being able to update the DS260.  If not, does anyone know how to get the DS260 unlocked?  Does anyone know how long after the DS5535 is submitted, do they allow him to schedule the followup appointment?  Any and all input would be appreciated

  2. Hi...wondering if anyone has had this same issue and how it was resolved......my husband was religiously married in the Gambia. Due to his salary, he never had the money to register their marriage like they were supposed to. Then they decided to Divorce. They religiously contracted the divorce in 2010 but once again due to his salary, they did not have the money to register their divorce. We married civilally and religiously in 2012. We applied for his I-130 and needed to produce a divorce certificate, so I paid for him to have his divorce registered. But that wasn't until July 2013. What date will the USCIS use for his divorce date? We were denied his I-130 and need to refile but depending on what date USCIS uses will decide if we refile an I-130 or a fiancé visa. If they go off of his contracted divorce date then I can refile an I-130. But if they go off the registered date, then we aren't legally married and need to get remarried??? Help, anyone have this same situation happen to them???
