Hi guys! Wow - it's been ages since the last time I was here. Here we are again, probably the last hurrah in this immigration journey. A lot has changed since 2014 when I first came to the US and fast forward to today, I received my interview date (Jan 6th!). Am I the only one who never reviewed while waiting for the interview date? Because now I feel like cramming! Anyway, I wish everyone good luck and God bless!

Hi everyone. We recently moved and still waiting on a pending approval of my I-751. I went to the USCIS website and the special instructions portion confuses me. If someone could please tell me what form to use for change of address that would be great.

Oh geez, I get updates from this forum in my email and when I saw @vuonggg’s post, I thought it’s my USPS informed delivery update lol and that USCIS had sent me a letter HAHA 😂

I hope this means progress on our cases. On my original GC process I received a call from the Cleveland office saying they were requesting my file, and a month after that I got a notification that my GC had been ordered back in 2015. Maybe we will hear in early April?

 

I doubt that will happen now, but maybe an interview for my N400 soon would be amazing!

Guys, I see in my USPS update that I have a mail coming from USCIS. Do you think it’s an approval letter? Eeeep now I feel so anxious and giddy.

All this time I thought CRI-89 receipt number was the same as the one in my extension letter... it’s not. So I typed in the receipt in my extension letter and found out that on March 5, 2018, my local office received my case. I sent my packet February of 2017! What does this mean? My case was not transferred to a different service center but why did they just received my case??? So odd.

You don't need to bring any kind of packet. You need to bring appointment notice, valid state I.D or drivers license, expired GC, extension letter and your passport to the appointment. 

Thanks so much! They gave me a 6 month entension. So I said “I thought it’s a year of extension” and she shook her head and said “nope it’s a 6 month extension”. I asked what happens if I still don’t have my green card then, and she said I just get another stamp. 

I saw in the stamp that she crossed out “one year” and it’s the date from today to 6 months. So not 6 months from when my extension letter is expiring. 

Did anybody had the same situation or a different one?

Yes, I'm going to get a I-551 stamp as well. My extension letter is expiring and I still don't have my acceptance / approval letter for the 10 year green card. (CSC filer)

Hi guys, my info pass appointment is tomorrow and I'm a bit of panicking because I'm reading on the letter and it says to bring the appointment letter, government ID and application document. What does it mean by application documents - does it the entire packet? I'm snowed in and I don't have a printer to print the entire packet.

Hi guys, I just scheduled my info pass appointment on 2/12 at 10:15 am - Chicago Field Office. I need to get a stamp as my extension letter is about to expire (March 2018). In the letter, it tells me what I need to bring - info pass confirmation letter, government ID's, USCIS letters. Is there anything else? Anyone who went to the Chicago Field Office? Do you mind sharing your experience? I'm taking my husband with me on that day as well. Thanks!

Can I apply even though I'm still waiting for my actual green card? I'll have to get an info pass soon to get a stamp. I'm a February filer CSC.

Hi Shell, I sent my package to Laguna Niguel, CA - is this the California Service Center? Yes, I've signed up with the Informed Delivery by USPS specifically for this. Where did you file and what date did they receive your packet?

So as per my timeline, below. How come I don't have anything from them yet? Grrr... I'm so anxious it's driving me crazy.

February 7, 2017 I-751 check payment has been cashed

Congrats, you guys! Hoping that we get our approval next!

Now I'm so anxious about my application. I'm so happy to hear that one of us has been approved! But all this wait is killing me. I went to the USCIS website to check and it's still "my fees were waived" status that I see  

So I checked my letter and has any of you guys submitted their application to Laguna Niguel, CA ---- is this the California Service Center?

This is much question as well as i’m employed full time and my work would be more at ease that my papers are legal and valid. Plus I can’t get a mortgage if my extension letter is expiring in 3 months! The lender wont care if it’s not my fault or not. 

Well my auto refinance application has been denied because my entension letter is about to expire in 3 months. I sent USCIS an email via the website and ask when they’ll send my 10-year green card, but I’d assume that will take forever for them to respond. I’m currently fully employed and now I’m wondering what I need to do. Someone suggested before that I need to get a stamp... is there a more specific name for this “stamp” and is this still the best route to take?

Thank you for the advice. I guess it's no use to request for an infopass being March is still far way back.

So I have a question, and anyone can answer... I sent it my packet January 31. The check was cashed in February and I also got my first notification in February and Biometrics was in February. Does that make me a February filer, or January because I filed / sent my packet in January?

You need that for a mortgage loan? Geez... now there's another thing added on my already long list of to-do lol. Thanks so much! We are also trying to get a home, maybe we can apply now for a mortgage and they wouldn't need a stamp?
