  1. The wait is not fun. My husband and I have been married now for two years, and we have been long distance since then. And now we are finally taking steps to be together! :) I will be seeing him shortly, as I will be visiting him during December. Focusing on one day at a time, meditation, and concentrating on actions you can take will help you focus on what you are doing on a daily basis will help you feel as though you are making progress to the final end goal. Take care, and hope all is well! :)

  2. Hi there, I am relatively new on this forum. I guess I should start by describing my life situation a little bit. I am working now currently as a supervisor at a manufacturing facility but I will soon within the next six months be leaving my job to return to school. During this time, my fiancé Samba wishes to at least visit the United States to meet my family and friends. Our relationship is complicated as in the fact the both of us have obligations in our home countries (for him his job is in Senegal right now, and for me my job and education are both in the United States), that which will separate us from being together for at least two or three years. I have visited him 2 times and will be visiting him a 3rd time in the next month so I can definitely prove our relationship is legitimate but I guess I am just trying to figure out the best route to go. I want him to come to the United States late next summer to meet my ailing grandmother of 94 years as well as my family and friends. I am not sure what visa would be best for us to apply for because I want him to come visit next summer as well as in two or three years for a more formal wedding ceremony. At this point, after his visit next summer, I know he will not stay in the United States because he is tied to his job for another year. I think it would be best for us to apply for the fiance visa next summer because it will be the most secure mode of transport for him to come here. Then in a few years, what type of visa should I apply for him to come back at least for two or three months? What makes this more complicated is that we are both unsure of where we want to live. If in a few years it works out we will live in the United States, either fiance visa or I can apply for a spousal visa. Is there any way you can apply for the fiance visa twice for the same person? I am not sure this is an option, I just figured I could ask.
