Some info that might help about the oath ceremony in the paramount theatre:
 
- Consider Uber or BART to get there. Parking is notoriously hard to find near the theatre. We went with the Uber.
- Make sure you sit in in the right section number assigned to you. I was assigned 8 and my wife was assigned 1. We asked at the door if we could sit together and they allowed and guided us to some seats but we realized too late that we were sitting neither in 1 nor 8 but some other section. This delayed us getting our certificate by about 15 mts.
- Fill your Passport applications with BLACK ink. I did not realize that and did it in blue ink and had to redo my application and that of my wife again in black ink
- Make an appointment with the post office closest to you to apply for passports just in case.
- If you plan to apply for passport at the theatre, run out to the passport line, as soon as you get the certificate. I and my wife got our certificates 10 mts late and by the time we were out the theatre door, the line was already out on to the street and was beginning to bend around the block! That left us disheartened and we decided to have lunch (we had not eaten much until then) and just go to a post office later. We luckily managed to get back to the post office close to home to apply for passports.
- Bundle up for the cold weather in the morning. We got there at about 8.10 AM and there already were two long lines on either side of the road, beginning to bend round the corner. They started letting people in about 8.30 AM and the line then moved relatively quickly.

Had my oath ceremony also last Tuesday 9/24. As shared by others, it was a great experience. Did not apply for my passport after the ceremony but instead went to a post office right after and applied that way. Paid for the expedited service so I should be getting my passport in about 3 weeks. Good luck to all of you soon becoming U.S. Citizens. So the day came and went and I am now a US Citizen!  Almost had separation anxiety giving away the Green card 😀   The ceremony started sharp at 9:15 am and ended at 11:20 am. Amazing event!! They really make you feel welcome and special as new citizens.   I opted to not apply for the passport at the venue because I had to get back to work and waiting in line could easily take another 45 minutes.   Also, the original naturalization certificate has to be submitted with the passport application which gets returned back to you via USPS. I wanted to make a physical copy of the naturalization certificate before I apply for the passport. Will go to my local USPS office today. Can understand your worry, but it sounds like it is a temporary delay, which we have heard of in other cases here also.  Hoping for you to get the oath notification in the next couple of days! 🤞 

My oath ceremony date is already updated in the tracker. 

My wife’s oath letter showed up. She is scheduled for October 16th morning ceremony. I am still waiting to be scheduled.

My wife got her Oath scheduled yesterday (1 day after the interview). No date yet since the letter doesn't show up yet but she did have a name change. I am still waiting for my status to change. 

Updating my oath ceremony day. I am also scheduled for 9/24 at the Paramount. Thanks @mdoxand @parampara !  Good to know that the oath dates on the Paramount theater website are not reliable or at least not fully updated .  @kasd has their oath date on 9/18 as shown in the website- so, looks like there are multiple days per month at Paramount currently. 
 
From the other posts I also believe that the Campbell Heritage Theater is for the San Jose office. 

There was no urgency involved in the case I mentioned, it was offered by the interviewer. I was just curious as to how often it happens, or if it doesn’t happen anymore since the surge /backlog in n400 applications the past couple of years.

It looks like if you can establish some sort of unavoidable urgency and inform USCIS about it, and request for expedited oath, they might consider it. Hi @califant, yeah, apologies, I did not update in the tracker. Will do so in a day or two. I became eligible in June of 2018 and applied in August 2018. It took slightly more than a year to get to the interview which seems to be the going norm with SF.

I finally got notification on myuscis that my interview has been scheduled. The appointment letter is not up so I don’t know when it is.
