Hello everyone,
I was able to put together the list of vaccinations required for my fiancee. She went to the hospital to get her vaccination records, but they were lost during a hurricane. The hospital says there is nothing they can do. What are our options? I have searched all over for this information and tried to email/call Consultorio De Visas in Santo Domingo, but no luck getting anyone to respond or answer the phone. Are private doctors able to provide the vaccination records from when she was younger? Would they also be able to provide the needed vaccinations so that we don't have to pay $250 USD at Consultorio De Visas (would these even be accepted - I heard horror stories where they ask people to get them all over since they don't "accept those")? Is it okay to get a letter from the hospital saying they lost the records and would Consultorio De Visas accept it? Any information to get me in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks.

Well put. Thanks!

In other words, they'll take care of it on their end, as they know (much more than we do, of course) the issues with the postal system. And just to confirm, once we email the embassy, they will be able to send all previously mailed correspondence to us via email, correct? That is very efficient and reliable, if that is the case. Thank you for your responses!

Hi everyone,
I am filling a 129F for my fiancee that lives in Dominican Republic. My concern is the mailing address. Has anyone here been through this process or have advice as to how to handle this? The issue is that the mail delivery system is certain parts of the country is non-existent or unreliable.
In her area, it is non-existent. Would the Consulate be aware of this and reach out to her in order to have her pick up any documents herself? Again, this is my first time going through this particular process and would hate to see a delay due to documents not being received and/or lost if they are being mailed. Thanks in advance.

Pretty much what I figured. Thanks for confirming!

Hello everyone. I am married to a woman that had a Visitor Visa when I first met her. I filed for adjustment of status, was approved, and she finally had her green card conditions removed last year around May. The marriage was rocky towards the end, but we stayed together to see if we could fix things somehow, although we started seeing other people. Around July we decided things were just not going to work out, so we chose to separate and not renew our apartment lease.
Things got very serious between myself and my now-finacee, whom I met while vacationing on Dec 2012. I traveled 5 times between Dec '12 - Dec '13 to spend time with my finacee (I spent about a month to a month and a half there during each trip since I was not working). I finally filed for divorce this February, and the divorce should be final towards the middle of April. I want to file for a K1 Visa for my finacee, as we both want to get married and live our lives together. I have no concerns regarding fraud interviews or anything like that, since our relationship is not fake and we have more than enough evidence to prove it (phone records, social networks, chat logs, thousands of pictures, gifts, money transfers, trips, our families spent time/took pictures together, etc).
My question is, would it be ok to file for the K1 Visa immediately after the divorce is finalized. I'm very excited and don't want to keep waiting. The divorce took a bit longer than expected, but I would love for my finacee to be here before the end of the summer (August). If the divorce is final by the middle of April, would it be ok to file for the K1 towards the end of April? I'm sure USCIS will still look at fraud possibilities regardless, but would waiting/not waiting make a difference at all (is it recommended to wait)? In the end, I'm not concerned about the fraud aspect, but I just don't want to delay/hinder the process by moving everything so quickly. At the same time, I don't want to wait just because I want it to look "less fraudulent," if that makes sense. Thanks for your help!

I appreciate your response. My fiancee's grandmother included both of my fiancee's sisters and her father, in addition to her mother. As per what you state, I can submit the paperwork and should that go through before her grandmother's paperwork does, USCIS would then deny her grandmother's petition? Sorry if I ask twice, but I've searched all over and cannot find information pertaining to this. I would just like to ensure clarification around not having to submit a letter to withdraw their original petition for the F3 Visa. Thank you!

Hi all,
First post here! My financee's mother (married) was petitioned about 6 years ago by my fiancee's grandmother. It should be about another year or two before their application works its way through the queue. My fiancee and I made plans to live together and start a family of our own here in the U.S. and would like to submit for the K-1 so that we can get married and go from there. My question is: should her grandmother contact USCIS in order to withdraw her petition and allow me to submit our own? Please advise. Thank you!

The list below is what I was able to put together thus far for the list of required vaccinations. I'm hoping we can get these before the medical exam and the i-485/adjustment of status is submitted after we get married.
