  1. Just called NVC and finally have our case number. Our NOA2 approval is Sept 03. So those who have the same timeline as mine, you may want to call NVC to finally get your case number. I know how long we have all been waiting for this... Again, goodluck to all!

Thanks for the heads, up I still ahven't received mine even though I got mine approved before yours..my lawyer has been calling 1 a week every week so hopefully we will be as lucky as you guys and get our case number sent out.

    Congrats!! best of luck!

  2. Hey Jay, saw this post. Both got their case #s today. Same NOA2 date as yours. CSC as well. Maybe you can also call DoS? Who knows, you might just get your great news ;-)

OMG! thanks for this update and information. I'm definitely going to check up to see if maybe we received ours.

Thanks again to everyone else for your input. I appreciate all the help :)!

Or maybe shoot NVC a quick email? Found this helpful info from Hank_

    NVC CONTACT INFORMATION:

    Website: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3177.html

We will try contacting them as well after 10-15 business days. Let's keep everyone posted. Goodluck to us!

Thank you for sharing those timelines with me. The thing I noticed about those particular petitions is that the original applications were sent in a few months ahead of mine which probably means we won't be seeing out case #'s for sometime.

Alright let's all keep each other informed :)

  4. Hey there, I am assuming that you haven't gotten your case # yet? We just got approved this week and you last month so kinda wondering if the wait this is really this long. Have you tried calling or emailing NVC? Thanks!

Hey there DandC, unfortunately we have not received a number that's why I was checking if others had. I actually have a lawyer so shes been calling for me once each week to see if we have one but they said they are way behind and haven't even received my case yet soooo I guess it's going to be sometime until once of us receives our case number :/ Keep me updated if you somehow receive a case number before me :).

    Thanks!

  5. Marife and I filed in August as well. We got our notification on September 19th that it was approved. From NOA1 to NOA2 it took 30 days. Much faster than we anticipated. It was welcome news after a few weeks of bad luck with medical emergencies in both our families. With things returning to normal and the approval, we can finally get back to working on us.=)

Hey Marife and Tony I see that you said you received your No2 already. I am curious have your received your case number yet to set up your interview by any chance?

    Thanks!

  6. We just received our case number today. We were approved at USCIS on 27 August. I would calling NVC. I saw on your timeline that you were approved the same day I was. Your petition may have gotten there by now.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll try to give them a call then :)

Jay, they've been a bit slow on the nvc end. You got your noa2 in record time. Settle down and prepare yourself for a good 4-8 week wait now. Average seems to be 5-6 right now.

    Alright thanks for the information!

  7. Awww. Come on. It isn't their fault they were approved before others waiting longer. Besides, I was transferred to TSC and I filed before you so it isn't true that you got stuck at VSC before they started transferring. They have transferred many who were February, March and April filers. They have transferred some May filers too. Unfortunately, yours didn't get moved but maybe it will soon. I wish you the best.

Congratulations OP. I think it's wonderful that you got approved so fast. It's one less out of the pile. God bless everyone and I'm praying we are all with our loved ones soon!

Sending positive vibes to you and your loved one!!!

  8. I am using a lawyer, even though I'm sure I am capable of doing it myself. My lawyer has been extremely helpful and is charging a reasonable price. If your gonna use a lawyer I would shop around and yelp them or something. If your on some type of time limit for getting a fiance visa meaning like you would want to get it asap, recommend using a lawyer to avoid any chance of filing your application wrong or any set backs etc. Plus, the lawyers will have a better chance of understanding the terminology as well as understanding how to deal with changes any time the government decides to change any process of how applications are filed etc. For example, my lawyer just in formed me that the gov. on sept. 2 or 3rd changed the matter in which they are accepting forms concerning the paper work that is needed for my fiance to get his interview for his fiance visa, since we already received our no2. She told us that she needs to wrap in brain around the new changes before sending in our new paperwork so the fact that my lawyer needs to wrap her brain around the new changes, indicates that I made a wise decision to hire a lawyer to deal with these unexpected changes. However, there are obviously many people on this site who have filed themselves and received their visa successfully, I just didn't want to take a chance.

Best of luck with your decision and I hope everything goes smoothly!

  9. You were dead on, just received the text message! Now the real wait begins...

    Congrats!!!

All of these NOA2 quick approvals have me checking the uscis website on our case status constantly now, haha! I even told myself I wouldn't be THAT person who checks all the time but I just can't help it with all of the good news from those who filed in August and have already heard back!

To be honest, we hadn't planned on it going that fast and actually didn't even consider that it may happen like that, haha. We've always been concerned with making plans too soon just in case it takes past 5 months... We definitely weren't expecting this! We haven't heard anything yet, so we're still waiting, but since others from CSC have heard back, we know it may be a possibility... So congrats to all of those who received their NOA2s already! In the meantime we will still be waiting patiently!

Good luck..and sending positive vibes that hopefully you will receive some good news soon!!

  10. Hey everyone, this is sort of a warning. I can't give you much more answers then I am about to do since I'm just as confused as you all would be and I'm not sure if this helps much or I'm what this means, but as I am using a lawyer to file my forms and awaiting my no2 packet. My lawyer told me that the government, without warning just recently changed the ways they are receiving forms? Therefore, she advised me to get a list of things done that maybe I'd need to do before my fiance's interview, minus the medical since that needs to be done closer to the interview date and then she will need to wrap her head around the new way of filing forms or something before she can begin the next stage of filing forms so I can get my fiance's interview.

I would advise to check the website for any new updates of form changes that took place maybe sept. 2 or 3?

    Take care!

  11. Been stalking our case status online since we got our receipt # and only progress is: On August 21, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E).

But then again, the expected timeline is 5 months so tick tock tick tock...ClockWatch2.gif Good luck to us!!!

Hey there, I had the exact notification and my lawyer says it doesn't mean much its completely normal and besides i got my no2 already so obviously it hasnt affected our application process at all. Good luck with everything :)!
