  1. did this just change or something??

i am showing on about 15 other websites that for a K1 who is married to the same citizen spouse the whole time (3 years) from the date of the condition residence green card CAN APPLY for citizenship.

this is contraty to what you guys are saying....

    will keep looking.

    tnx

if you look on the conditional card it says at the top "permanent resident card"

and its the I 551 on the back too. so it counts.

dont give out bad advice to people cause they could be waiting extra years.

i vaguely remember back when doing the K1 that it would be 1 year after we got the lifting of conditions....

so if you guys are waiting extra time, and have been married to the same person the whole time (3 years on a K1) then go ahead and apply.

  2. My total packet was 40 pages plus a photo book (another 10 pages). Those that try to send too much are putting themselves at a disadvantage - I think of the process as this - "How can I make the examiner's job easier?" To do this - I list everything in my cover letter (and I number those items - e.g. 1. Bank return Dec 08 - 2. utility Bill Dec 08 and the evidence itself is numbered (corresponding to the cover letter) - this way if the cover letter doesn't meet his/her requirement, then he doesn't need to go through my proof - if it does, he can check whichever piece he wants to check. I have worked as a tax administrator for 20+ years and have thrown out boxes of supporting evidence if it doesn't meet my criteria (I realized some tax preparers were making money by printing out more pages of unnecessary and unneeded 'proof'. They must charge by the number of pages). However, you must feel comfortable with your amount of proof - I do not believe in sending too much. Good Luck

thanks, yah thats how i feel too.

plus im a 2 year iraq veteran. if u cant trust me... then who can you trust?? (still in the IRR too!)... its in my cover page too becuase thats how we met, online....

  7. hey guys,

    just a quick question...

my income is a little lacking since i have started my own corporation and am growing it... have been for a while now but just started doing businuess officially this january...

well as i transitioned from the military last year i barely meet the minimum requirements for sponsorship...(give the military a raise!!!)

    soo.....

i have a co sponsor... but since i am the husband of a k1 visa holder who i am sponsoring...,

can i put the co sponsor who made 110 thousand last year as Main sponsor and me down as the co sponsor???

or would that look really bad?

    thanks

becuase i noticed on this form how it is worded it says i am the 1st or 2nd of 2 joint sponsors...

okay maybe a dumb question but i just dont want another RFE

no i dont have a 1099 yet cuase im a S chapter corporation so not really an employee...

havent really been keeping the books right yet... but will set up proper accounts in the near future...

    any insight?

    thanks

    NO MORE RFE's!!!

    :crying::crying:
