Finally we got an update, literally 2 hrs after I checked Mom’s status online: her Advance Parole has been approved. Letter to come in the mail. Now if waiting for good news regarding the Greencard itself.

Hello, July filers!

We had our interview today, got approved on the spot. Questions: How did you meet? Did you meet each others parents, when? Then we were asked if there's any additional bona fide evidence, but after we've submitted Citibank credit card statements (i'm an authorized user on my husband's card), medical insurance and lots of flight tickets the officer said that we are approved.

Our case is very easy, no red flags - 2 years of dating, 1 year engaged, K-1, then AOS.

Green card is expected to arrive in 10-12 days.

Our processing times: NOA - 1 July 29 2019, Ready - September 21 2019, EAD/AP - December 6 2019, Interview - 20 Feb 2020. Las Vegas field office.

We received letter in the mail today the interview is March 4th we are almost there....a little break is much needed....

I became a US Citizen today! 67 people from 34 countries. The ceremony took place at the Federal courthouse in Milwauke,WI. The judge spoke for about 10 minutes. We all repeated the Oath of Allegiance after her and then an USCIS officer issued our certificate.
The appt letter says 1pm but the Ceremony was actually 2pm. I was there at 12:30.😒
I am just so grateful and happy to be done.

I just sent an email through my account about my oath ceremony. 15 minutes later my status was updated “Oath Ceremony letter was mailed”😂. I should know the date by tomorrow. I’m almost done!

I went for an infopass last Thursday asking about the status of my case (it has been in line for oath for 45 days). The officer in the infopass was super nice and explaining me patiently that everything is approved, nothing to be worried about and it is just waiting for the oath ceremony. He said maybe I was put in the line for the big oath ceremony in Madison (once a year). At the end he said I should be expecting an update in one to two weeks. And after three days of the infopass, I did get an update for the oath - the oath was scheduled!!! Not sure if the infopass has any impact on it. and I heard different experience about infopass. Some are helpful and some are not super helpful.

Will add my updates to timeline once I know the date for oath ceremony.

Passed my naturalization interview. The fire alarm went off while waiting to be called in so everyone in the building had to go through security twice, and standing outside in the 100+ degree Phoenix heat with 40% humidity waiting for the fire department to review and resolve was not fun. The gentleman who interviewed me was very nice, turned out we had worked for the same company in the past. He was training someone so as he explained every step to her as we went through the motions it was very revealing to me for instance he told her "the reason we ask for multiple forms of identification is to make sure the legal name matches everywhere". I did the read/write test and got the first 6 questions correct then he went through the yes/no questions. In all the interview lasted about 20 min. In the end he told her "in a straight forward interview like this just check all these boxes", which I guessed is a good thing . He never checked any of the originals so I didn't even have to open my file. He handed me the letter that said I was approved along with the passport application and walked me out, such a great experience!!
Apparently, there's an oath ceremony every Friday at the courthouse in downtown Phoenix and he said they're scheduling 4-6 weeks out so I should hear back on the date in about a month. Almost there!

You can ask at the Aug 22 interview and if the officer interviewing you has the training/clearance to carry out the citizenship interview why not? it sounds simple and straightforward but it is not. They are separate applications afterall. He may require a supervisor's view on it and if you're lucky he gets the go ahead. Otherwise you return 1 month later.

i received email and text saying that my interview was scheduled today... the same when checking online. still dont know the actual interview day .(a month after ? )
just wanted to ask how soon the PDF letter will be available to review in my account ? i haven't started to study the civic questions and other materials yet.

I am a citizen. I had my oath ceremony with 65 new citizens from 23 countries by a Federal Judge who is a naturalized citizen herself. Checking in with security and USCIS staff took longer than the ceremony itself. It was a good time even with the extra time it took for each person to take pictures with the judge. Congratulations!!!!! I am glad you made it to the end! I am still waiting for an update for the oath. Hopefully I will get a update soon!

Hey guys, just got approved Got the notification saying oath ceremony will be scheduled. I wonder if they schedule them one month ahead like the biometrics.. in that case I'm screwed cause I will be out of the country :S

December filler here, I was just placed in line for the oath ceremony.

I started my journey on December 23rd 2017. Did my biometrics on January 11th, I believe. I waited almost 6-7 months before there being any further movement on my case. Then on June 25th my account updated to "Interview was scehduled". I did my interview yesterday on July 30th. I was approved and then placed in line for the oath ceremony on the same day, now I'm just waiting for the oath letter. Can't wait for the swear-in ceremony and passport!

Thanks @NikeS I was surprised to get the update this morning because my file was pretty thick! I’m hoping for the 8/23 or early September ceremony. Fingers crossed.

I had my interview at the Milwaukee FO yesterday. I passed the interview but the “decision cannot be made” box was checked. The IO states that he is a fairly new officer and he need to have his supervisor review my file before approving.
Overall, the interview went well. My appt was at 0830 and I was called in around 0845. I was in my car at 0910. I had to make a few changes such as confirming address and new job. Answered the Y/N questions and that was it. The officer was very nice, kept smiling and making small talks. I was exhausted after driving 1.5 hrs and just wanted to get out of there.
I was very surprised to see all the people in the waiting room wearing jeans, sandals, shorts, t-shirts to such an important interview..😳
The questions asked:
1. Name of the National anthem
2. Why are there 13 stripes of the flag
3. Rule of law
4. Ocean on the West coast
5. How old citizens have to be to vote for president
6. I forgot the 6th one
Reading: How many US senators do we have?
Writing: We have one hundred US senators.

The waiting game continues.... Hopefully I’ll hear something soon.
