  1. I made this word document with everything i need for the 1-129F. My worst nightmare is forgetting something. Could u guys please read trough this ans confirm this is everything? or am i missing something?

I know there is the step by step form online. But they might be out dated and stuff. I just want to make sure.

    Thank you

    Step by step I-129F

    • Payment – Personal check or moneytransfer.

    • The completed I-129F form.

    • I-129F Cover Letter
    • Declaration of how we met in person in the last 2 years. This should be a single typed page attachment regarding 'Question '34.a' of the I-129F of the I-129F. Make sure to sign and date it.
    • Fiancé Letter of Intent one from you and one from me certifying an intent to marry within 90 days of entering the US on a valid K-1.
    • Proof of having met in past two years.
    • A completed Form G-325A for both partners

    • One passport-type photo of the US Citizen and the foreign fiancee. Write the full name of the US citizen on the back. Place in a plastic bag and label the bag "Photo of <Insert US Citizen's Name>". Attach the bag to a sheet of paper and place behind the corresponding G-325a.
    • Copy of the Birth certificate (front and back) for the US Citizen. This is used to establish citizenship.
    • In regards to Section C Question 2 , if applicable provide certified copies of all court and police records showing the charges and dispositions for any specified conviction(s) (in accordance with the IMBRA). See section 9 of the I-129f instructions for more information
    • Clip a completed G-1145, E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance, to the first page of your application (on top of the cover page). By completing this form and attaching it, USCIS will send you an email and/or text message to alert you when your application was received.
    • MPORTANT!
Make TWO copies of the entire package before you send it in. This includes the money orders too. You want to have a perfect replica of the package you are sending in. All Forms that you submit must be originals with original signatures. Supporting Evidence that you submit may be photocopies. Retain ALL original supporting Evidence since the USCIS has the right to check them by issuing an RFE (Request For Evidence). If you receive an RFE, follow the direction exactly, and make two copies of what you sent back. During any future interviews the USCIS may also want to examine the original supporting evidence
  2. You must meet in person within two years. If you have not done that, he needs a passport first. If you have met, no need for passport yet. A copy of the BC is good to prove citizenship.

Aos, is needed at interview. And if he does not meet the requirements, yeah, he's gonna need a cosponsor.

Would prolly be worth it for him to try to be at the interview. Just my opinion.

Yes we have met in person we lived together for 8 months.. i was there on my intership J1 visa and met him there.

''Would prolly be worth it for him to try to be at the interview. Just my opinion.'' This part confuses me.. What interview do you mean? the one i need to have in amsterdam? We already asked him mom and she was more then willing to be a co sponsor. but do we need to file those papers with the I-129F papers? or do i need to bring those to my interview in amsterdam?

Or is there another interview I'm not aware of?

  3. Hello,

We are staring to collect all the papers to file for the visa..

I have a few questions. Right now my fiancée has no passport. He does have a birth certificate. Can he just send a copy of that or does he NEED a passport. Once an if we get approved the plan is for him to visit me in Holland and then we both leave. so for that we would need a passport.. is it okay if we apply to get one while we send in the papers for the K1 visa?

And then the next question. He doest make enough to be above the poverty line. he does work full time. and does graphic design next to his job. but that's only when there is something to do. we can get him mom to co sponsor. but do we need her papers and letters with the I-129F or do i need that when i have my appointment in the embassy in Amsterdam? When exactly do we need that?

    Thanks!!

  4. Get married and adjust status.

However, if you're just getting married to get a green card, that's fraud.

That's not the case. They hired him at the hotel I worked at, and that's where I met him.

so lets say we get married, can I stay right away or do I have to go back?

or can we engage and then get married?

    Thanks

  5. I am currently in the states on my J-1 visa which expires on November 30. I do not have the 2 year requirement on my visa.

I really want to stay in the states. I have a boyfriend who I met while working here.

Is there any way for me to stay in the states in the meantime? If we get engaged, or maybe something else? What are my options?

    Thank you!
