  1. Hi everyone,

I am not sure where to post this question and if I post the wrong section, then I am sorry.

My sister got 10 years green card and it was expired last year. She renewed 6 months before the expiration date but the problem seems to start from here. She found out that her old green card has an error that is, her middle name is her first name. So when she filed I-90 to renew her GC, she made the correction on her name. She received her correction GC on May 2014 which we thought the problem is now over.

However, she passed driver license test last couple days in Michigan and then she went to Secretary of State (SoS) to make the card. The SoS told her that they could not find her GC in the system. I don't know what system they were mentioned. Could it be SAVE database? I am hard to believe that it has been 3 months from the date she received her GC and still could not find her on the system. They just told her to home without saying anything or how to solve the problem.

I am thinking that she needs to make INFOPASS to see USCIS agent but this is my last choice if it needed. Because my sister lives far away from USCIS office.

Any other approaches to solve this problem. Thank you all.

  2. You meant you did not include tax transcripts in the package that you sent to USCIS?

If Yes, then I believe you will get RFE later for I-485.

Tax transcripts are not required for I-765. However, your I-765 application is pending more than 75 days from the date filling, you can submit e-request based on outside of processing time or approach processing time. Please dont tell the customer service that you request based on financial loss because they will ask you to send proof. Just tell them that I can submit e-request because my application is pending more than 75 days and this info mentions on USCIS processing time.

  3. My wife had an appointment for medical exam in the morning and she finished around 11am. We then went to get the vaccines but the office was at lunch break. My wife got vaccinated around 1-2pm and then we brought it to IMO around 2:30 pm or so. We picked her medical package at 3:50 pm before they close.

  4. This is odd because my wife got her medical exam results on the same day before 4pm at IMO.

I asked my wife about DS-3025 but she could not remember where she got it from.

The name of DS-3025 is Vaccination Documentation Worksheet. The DS-3025 is little word in the bottom left and it is hard to see.

Did your fiancee get the yellow paper ( Immunization Record ) back?

  5. I am not so sure where my wife got a copy DS 3025 from. They will give her a yellow immunization record back.

    1) I don't know.

    2) Yes.

    3) She can ask the officer to make her a copy. The worst case is that he/she will say No.

Your fiancé can ask the CO to make a copy of DS 3025 after she passes interview and I am sure they understand why she needs it. I am not sure they will do it for her though.

I will ask my wife to see whether she remembers where she got DS 3025 from.

  6. I believe that I registered an account with IRS or something. I can just log into IRS with user name and passport without typing an address. It will show all your income taxes from year to year and I just checked it few second ago. My user name might associate with my SSN not address.

  7. My problem with the IRS link is that they will only except the address you last used when you filed. In my case I used a U.S, address and I live in VN. So the IRS info gets sent to thee old address and you still have to have someone send it to you in VN.

That might be true in the past but not now. You can print the tax transcripts directly from IRS website instead of waiting 7-10 days by mail.

  8. I did not include cover letter and have no problem so far. Passport stamps provide the evidence that you had been in VietNam, hence you might have met your wife. However, it is difficult to prove that the passport stamps were printed from your passport. If you print all pages of your passport, then it might prove that stamps are your. Note that the boarding pass does not prove that you were in the plane. So passport stamps and picture together are needed in my opinion even pictures are secondary. The passport control agent in Vietnam usually stamps near to the visa page, which means this page will be enough because it has Vietnam visa and entry or exit stamps nearby. The visa itself has your passport number. I did not print the whole passport pages out but I did print biographical page and the page that has Vietnam visa and passport stamps near to the visa.

If you only want to prove that you are US citizen, then the biographical page is enough.

  9. I remember that EMS called my wife before delivering to make sure someone at home. She can go to local EMS office to tell them that she is waiting for the package and if they have it, then call her to pick it up.

  10. It seems to me that your status does not change to " Testing and Interview" or received a interview waiver letter by mail. This is too long without updating even though local office ( New York City ) is still processing on December 18, 2013 application. Of course, I have seen someone has the similar situation like you.

If I were you, then I will get my congressman involved or I will wait next month to submit e-request.

  11. My wife had the same situation when the Consulate asked her to fill out all relatives in one of form. We had lost contacted one of my aunt. We wrote down the name and Unknown for DOB, address, and phone number. We notarized the form and a little statement to explain the situation. The Consulate did not ask any question about that.
