  1. Thanks HCM.

    So I had my interview yesterday. I got called with the time scheduled. The officer let me read 1 sentence and I wrote a sentence(for the reading and writing test). For the civic questions, make sure you guys read the pamphlet. Everything is in there.Just make sure you know your state's governor,representative and Senator. He asked me one of those. I'm just lucky I guess that the officer who interviewed me was very nice. It was a very relaxed one. My naturalization was based from marriage .He asked questions about my marriage. Just answer questions with ease and truthfully. This has been a long journey for me. My adjustment of status process was the stressful one. I'm just glad this part of the process was a breeze. My oathtaking was scheduled for 1st wk of November. Goodluck everyone. I hope everyone's interview experience will be like mine. Congratulations to those who are finished as well!

  3. Wahoo!!! Just received notification of a status update on AOS today:

    Card/ Document Production

    On November 6, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

    This step applies to applications that result in an applicant receiving a card (such as a "green card") or other document (such as a naturalization certificate, employment authorization document, travel document, or advance parole). Applications will be in this step from the time the order to produce the card/document is given until the card/document is produced and mailed to the applicant. You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application.

    yehey.congrats

    @olsan

    You fixed your name issue already?

    Almost 5 months to the date of filing, no interview. Praise God for all that He has done in this process. He is good!!

  4. Hi, June AOS filers! We were approved today. Yay, I am really happy! The only thing that bothers me is that we didn't have any interview... I think I did read about some cases approved without an interview, but is this common? I hope they don't overturn their decision... Congrats to all approvals!

    not all apps require an interview.be thankful that you didnt need an interview like i went through.congrats

    I got my card yesterday finally! Alleluia!

    @olsan

    congrats olsan.if i were you i am gonna address that name issue in your card asap.

  5. Since my interview last Sept 12, my status has now been changed to "Card production". What a relief!! I thought I was gonna be denied because my interview wasnt really that pleasant as compared to what I have read here. My interview took almost 2 hours. The interviewer asked gazillion of questions separately b/w me and my husband. The interviewer asked in detail the pictures that we brought. All about what we have done for the past 2 weeks in detail and even very intimate questions. It was so mentally tiring. So in the end, the interviewer said that they need to do a background check because there were a few inconsistencies with our answers. Even threatened my husband if they would detect any fraudulent stuff with our marriage, he has to face the consequences. So fine, whatever.

    My advice to everyone who hasnt been interviewed is, be prepared. Always expect for the worst. If you know that your marriage was made in good faith, you have nothing to worry about. I have been in and out of this country since I was a kid. So perhaps they have figured that if I would have wanted to stay here before for good, I should have done that eons ago. I am just so relieved.

    @olsan

    If I were you, I would call to verify that it was only a typo error. You would have a difficult time if your greencard wont match your other IDs.

  6. So am I. I wasnt approved on the spot. They said they will inform their decision by mail. We were interviewed separately. I got nervous with the whole process and maybe that's the reason why some of my answers were not consistent with what my husband said.So she said she cant make a decision yet because of some of our inconsistent answers.Then she explained how conditional permanent resident works and what needs to be done 90 days before it expires and what other documents that we need to submit. I hope we dont get denied:(So I am still in limbo:(
