An occassional post while viewing new content messages is a far cry from regularly visiting a forum. Once again you have missed the forest for the trees ... -1

First, I am my own evidence of departure to the upper threads--a long long time ago.
Second, what effort was extended to prove the "fact" of migration from VJ rather than a retreat from the OT forum?
You now have seen evidence of at least one departure to the upper threads vs. moving on from VJ.
However, if the demeanor from OT continues to spill over into the upper forums, I may depart. Can I then call it a "proven fact" that even departures are because of the loss of control from OT?

There needs to be some way of indicating that a post is giving bad information. It happens every day and unless there is some discouragement, bad advice and/or misinformation will be propogated.

If you go to the immigrant visa section of the Bogota website you will find the link to the K-1 requirements. The requirements ON THE BOGOTA WEBSITE for K-1 VISAS require DS-156 and DS-156K

And if you read the actual memo that went out to the consulates you would see that it stated "Except for K Visas"

Your cited link refers to the processing of nonimmigrant visa by the consulate. K visas are processed by the immigrant visa section as immigrant visas.

What kind of special vet do you visit that can give your cat the ability to fly? Are the wings artificial or are they transplanted from some kind of bird? Do they use different birds for the transplants depending on the size of the cat? Regardless, it seems like a long way for a cat to fly without getting tired and falling into the ocean.

You won't ever find me recommending this path as a reasonable preplan. The fact of the matter is that using a nonimmigrant entry with the intent to immigrate is against the law. Working without authorization and overstaying are also against the law. I also don't suggest that there are no consequences to these actions. Certainly your integrity and character could be shown to be less than stellar which may someday prove to be of great importantance to you--especially if you find yourself in other legal proceedings where integrity and character may weigh against your testimony. What I am saying is that one of the consequences of these actions will not be a denial of adjustment of status if you are the immediate family member of a USC.
I do feel, however, that inaccurate warnings of nonexistent consequences are a disservice to someone trying to make major personal decisions.

This is where you are wrong. Precedent setting decisions from the BIA are official word. Court rulings have established that for the immediate family member of a USC, prior intent to immigrate, working without authorization, and overstays CANNOT be used to deny an adjustment of status.
The confusion is perpetuated by posts that say otherwise or make suggestions that you could end up banned for such action. Those posts are based on speculation and are misleadingly false.

I suppose the alternative is to repost the same concern over and over again until people stop responding to the posts entirely.

Then I have no advice to give. You won't get permanent residence--ever. Despite the suggestions from others to get a lawyer, it will not help. You have committed a crime that has a consequence that no lawyer can minimize for you. Even if immigration reform is passed, your situation will not find relief. I suggest you start looking at a life in NZ.
