Yassine Fatima got a reaction from Jamie & Izzy in CR1 interview experience
Hi Folks ! here is my CR1 interview experience in casablanca/ Morocco !!
I won't go into great depth as I'll be just repeating the many reviews already submitted.
My appointment was scheduled for April 1st / 8.00am and I arrived at 7.15 am ! Just as I walked up, the security guard said : all Immigrant visa Applicants appointments form a queue over there. So I joined that queue! we were about 3 people, but by 7:45 the queue had already quadrupled!
At 8:00 am the security guard let me straight through after checking my interview letter ( to verify if my name exists in the list of that day Interviews) , and then through the metal detector (checking for weapons I suppose LOL ) ,. after the security check I walked all the way round the consulate to get inside. Once inside , I went through a window where a Moroccan young lady asked for my passport , interview letter and 2 photos ! then they ushered me through !!
Once I was inside the building, there was another check point , I went through the stationary detector , and the security officer asked if I had anything to declare ( cell phone , laptop …) , so you’d better not to bring anything extra , just your paperwork and yourself
After that , I went into a large room with about 7 windows for people to conduct interviews , About 40 mins later my name was announced by a Moroccan lady to come to window 1 !!! she was veeeery nice and friendly , she returned some of the NVC and Original docs and asked me to give her all my NEW docs and phone number , then she asked If I had already traveled abroad ! where ? when ? and for how long ? is this our 1st marriage ? and which language I would love my interview to be in ? !! she then said to have a seat and I would be called for finger printing later . Oh and then with a huuuuuuge smile she wished me good luck!
After 10 mins , I was called for fingerprinting , and I sat back down again !! my name was re-announced after 15 mins for the actual interview ! the CO was a very sweeeeeeet , adorable American lady , Made me swear I was telling the truth, then asked me few questions :
how did you meet?
How did he immigrate to the USA? And when ?
What does he do?
Has he ever visited after marriage ?
When did you get married?
Have you ever had trouble with the police LOL ?
What does he do in his free time !! hhhh I expected that Question !!!
Was out of there by 10: 15 am !! the interview was very smooth , pleasant and so much easier than I expected ! I really couldn't have hoped for a better experience !! And I can't believe that we have been APPROVED! yaaaaay

Yassine Fatima reacted to Nicoco in my relationship is deteriorating
I remember feeling like this when we were going through the K-1 process. I felt like everyday away from him, talking on crappy skype to his cellphone because he didn't have internet regularly, was deteriorating our relationship. We fought a lot...mostly because there was nothing else to do other than planning, waiting for the future. I'm pretty sure it has something to do also with the fact that at the time I was only 20 and he was 21 years old. But you know what? It's two years later, and while the process of K-1 was horribly long and draining, it strengthened our relationship at the end of the process. We still talk about how we overcame everything that had happened to us.... we were fighting a lot, his country was in a flood during part of the process and he didn't have clean water or food, I was working full time and in college full time during the process, and it was just chaos! I was staying up until 3 am every morning talking to him because his country is exactly 12 hours apart, and then waking up at 7 am and going to work. No wonder we fought.
I know it seems like it's bad now... and people here may mention about when you have to take care of children, or other obstacles to overcome but the reality is that it's different when you're with your SO in person. You can look into their eyes and work out problems rather than trying to talk it over phone or message or a crappy webcam. It WILL be better.

Yassine Fatima reacted to christeen in Does she still want me??
A different perspective... It might not be that she is having second thoughts about you or even that she is after a green card (as this would be a silly move to not even keep up pretenses until married).. I think what needs to be kept in mind is that she has just left her home, family and friends for a strange country, knowing nobody but you and has to completely have faith and trust in someone else... She is a fish out of water... For you, things are more comfortable and surroundings familiar, but she might be feeling lost... Cold feet about her new life, not necessarily you Per say.
It is not easy to feel "sexual" when you are not feeling like you belong somewhere or when there is a lot of stress. Homesickness can manifest itself in many ways, one of which is a defensive mechanism where you try to subconsciously find some... Any... reason why the current situation is not working so you get to go home.
Also, when dealing with a female, Do not confuse sex with intimacy... For without one there is not the other. A good sexual relationship comes from trusting and feeling comfortable and intimatly connected to someone... I think some real heart to heart talking and trying to get to the root of what is bothering her and address the REAL fear or issues is in order... Put aside the expectation of sex as a way to demonstrate her connection to you and focus instead on the emotional connection... Once this is established, the physical connections will follow... Women deal with things differently, more complex... Approach the problem with that in mind. Good luck...

Yassine Fatima reacted to star64 in Does she still want me??
Don't give up on her. Maybe there are things you haven't been able to discuss before that she finds out while she's with you. She needs your attention... and introduce her to your friends and your family. Let her feel how much you care for her. Even if you are doing that everyday continue doing it and pray. I'm getting cold feet too...and I am blessed because he'd never stop telling and showing how much he loves me. I am getting cold feet not because I don't want my fiancé anymore or not attracted to him. He is my world. I cant imagine my life without him. Hang on there. Keep the communication open between the two of you.

Yassine Fatima reacted to David & Diana R in I130 cover letter !
One thing I would recommend. Do not send a personal check. Much safer to send a postal money order or certified/cashiers check. Just a thought. Might not be necessary but it could takes a long time for a personal check to clear. Just a suggestion.
Aloha Ke Akua

***moved to Bringing family members of permanent residents to America from IR1/CR1 process and procedures as OP has stated they are a permanent resident and not a USC***
Remember the G-1145 is on top of EVERYTHING including the check. Put the cover letter in the order of the items contained in the package. Otherwise it looks good.
Oh do you have to include a photocopy of your green card to show your permanent resident status? Don't forget that if so.

Yassine Fatima reacted to Blueberry Pancake in I130 cover letter !
Include TWO passport photos each. People get RFEs for this.
(I talked to one attorney once and she said even though they request one photo each, they scan them and they may get stuck to a scanner and get ruined. So... better to include two)

Yassine Fatima reacted to haveaniceday in HAS ANYONE BEEN successful AT HAVING THEIR FRAUD SPOUSE DEPORTED IF SO HOW? MY HUSBAND IS A HUGE FRAUDSTER
you seem to me you are full of s*&^ to be honest, it seems like you had no problems with his "illegal" activities while things were good between the two of you but now that hes found another solution to his legal matters you basically want revenge. and yes you probably knew all along about the laptop and other things bought with stolen cc. you know i hate people like you, my wife tends to use this kind of logic with me, if i dont do as she wants or put up with her bs she uses the oh i will divorce you and stuff knowing damn well i need her, its like a power trip. if hes in the army then he will get his citizenship with or without you, get ur divorce and move on.

Yassine Fatima reacted to Ismael&Blair in i 130 package ! Urgent ! pls
OK...the mystery is solved...I did some research for you...So looking on the USCIS website, I copied and pasted the I-130 instructions down below...
Since this is a Moroccan marriage certificate, (in my humble opinion) it was easier and cheaper to just go with one of their approved translators in Morocco. As I think back now I did try to find translation service here in the USA and there are NOT many qualified certified translators with accreditation in Moroccan Arabic. In other words, you cannot just get your Moroccan friend to translate it for you on Google translate. You can always try. But we didn't.
Form I-130 Instructions 12/18/12 Y Page 2
1.
Type or print legibly in black ink.
Step 1. Fill Out Form I-130
General Instructions
3.
Answer all questions fully and accurately. State that an
item is not applicable with "N/A." If the answer is none,
write "none."
2.
If extra space is needed to complete any item, attach a
continuation sheet, indicate the item number, and date and
sign each sheet.
Translations
. Any foreign language document must be
accompanied by a full English translation that the translator
has certified as complete and correct, and by the translator's
certification that he or she is competent to translate the foreign
language into English.

Yassine Fatima reacted to bostonian2013 in I-130 approved (unexpectedly)!
Approval took 6 months while based on my status (green card holder) and priority date (1/15/2013), it was supposed to take 2 years. Couldn't be more happier!
