My mom is also sponsoring my aunt (her sister) and at the time we filed the i-130 she had 2 kids and by the time it was apporoved she had 5. At the NVC stage we notified NVC that she had 5 children instead of 2 and they were added to the petition

My brother in law interviewed in april 2012 in kabul. He was put in AP and he got his visa May 2013

This is my opinion, I dont know if this is actually going on but this is what I think. I read on another thread that NBC will start adjucating i-130's in house starting end of september instead of sending them to the local office. For March 2013 there have been only 12 approvals according to igors list and it seems like all of those approvals were filed by petitioners that are overseas also with their spouses. Also the field offices are slammed too so if they send the case to the field office, it still will miss the 5 month goal and may take a lot longer. Example I was reading recently some one whose file was sent to atlanta got approved after 10 months. Also I read in some threads people who called USCIS from March and April and were told their files were still at NBC. Why would NBC hold them for soo long before sending them over to the local offices? I think what's going on is that the last month to get sent to the local field office was February and March onwards are being held at NBC until the end of september when NBC starts to process in house. This is what I think

call them or have a congressman followup on your behalf. A year for a NOA 2 is a long time. Normally its 6 to 8 months

USCIS doesn't do a good job of keeping their site update. The data is always 2 months old. As far as Nebraska not doing i-130's, I think they did sometime in the past so it should be ok

You shouldnt have to pay anything at the embassy. All the fees should be paid already with the visa center

oh yeah ive seen it already. is this the rwceipt ID right? its been accepted but still pending for review....
Yea it will say that for about 4 to 6 weeks then when its done it will say card produced
-
It can take 4 to 6 weeks to receive your green card from the date you entered the country. You can get the receipt from the ELIS website where you submitted the payment
-
From my previous experience, you have to send the original documents with the visa package. Make sure you keep copies and take the copies to the interview just incase. The originals will be given back at the interview
-
I think they are doing background checks. My brother in law interviewed in kabul april 2012 and was in administrative processing for a year

it looks like a little over half of February has been approved. I filed end of April

someone started a petition on change.org to speed up the i-130 processing. Thought I'd share

March filers are reporting now hearing that it will take an average of 12 months to approval (from congressman and senators). Which is freaking everyone out! (well, at least freaking me out!)
Wow thats crazy. My sister filed in march 2011 for her husband and he got approved in 4 months
-
I checked yesterday and the USCIS website is saying that it is taking them average of 13.3 months to process i-130's as of May 31st. Anyone know anything about this. Doesn't sound right. Screenshot attached below. I got my NOA1 may 2nd

Oh i forgot to mention earlier my brother in law was in AP from afghanistan. He had his interview end of april 2012 and was approved april 2013. It was a CR1 visa

I was hoping when we filed that we'd have NOA2 by the end of the year. My field office, Boston, completed 374 petitions in May out of 4,788 pending
It's looking pretty grim.
They might send some of the cases that have been waiting a while back to the service centers. We'll see what happens

You can try calling the state department visa section to see what's going on

Immediate relative standalone I-130s take approximately 6 - 8 months to process.
What does standalone mean?
-
I checked on USCIS website today and as of May 31st, they are saying its taking 13.3 months average to process I-130 petitions for immediate relatives of US citizens.
