Congrats on your approval!

They may not request the new form since it was submitted and accepted before the new form was updated. But have a copy of the new one just in case so as to reduce any delays at the embassy.
Would your Joint Sponsor be able to fill out, print it sign it, then scan and email to you?

hi there, my case have been completed and interview date set but i'm a bit curious should i receive an email from my consulate that they have receive my case?
No the consulate wont be contacting you. Make sure to schedule your medical appointment and be at the Embassy with all your evidence of a bonafide relationship i.e phone records, western union receipts, etc.

So my husband finally has an interview date
after the case being completed on April,8 his appt is on the 14th of June. Does anyone know if exactly 2 weeks is enough time for the medical results to come back? Seems like they are cutting it pretty close with the Dr appt being on the 30th of May and the interview on the 14th of June ...and which place in Kingston is best to get your medical exam done at? Care and cost wise?
Any advice for the medical exam and interview is greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance
Click on Portals, select Jamaica so you get information specific for Jamaica, then click on "Kingston Consulate Information" you will find the authorized doctors and prices for the medical.
I just did my medical Thursday at Mobay Hope and they advise to pick up my package two days before interview.
You husband need his immunization card, he will be given missing shots...
my left arm is aching after my shots on Thursday seriously I can hardly move my arm.. but the nurse did tell me it would happen.
Also I heard a discussion in the waiting area that effective May 1 the fee increased to $120USD from $110.

My advise is this little quote " If you love someone, set them free and if they return, it was meant to be".
Let me share a little piece of my story, I knew my husband ever since I was a teenager, when his mother found out I was visiting her house she complained to my mother about it. We had to stop seeing each other.. all those mother talk.. teenage pregnancy, school.. now is not the time for this..etc.
He got married a few years later and migrated to the US. I never made contact with him for approximately 20 yrs. I finished High School, got a Job move to another parish and lived my life.
We reunited in 2009 at this time he was going through his divorce, and it was at that time he knew why I stopped talking to him back then. I was still living my life as usual we did not even talk relationship until 2011 he took a trip and ask me if I would visit him while here. I agreed. when I visited he handed me an envelope inside was his divorce decree, he then popped the magical question.
He took me to his mother and asked her if she remember this person, she said yes how could I forget her but I have not seen her in ages, he said to her well we will be getting married soon. She remarked "what is to be must be good luck to both of you".
When I told my mother she remarked "look at how I break up your friendship with him, but I was trying to protect you, you are an adult now and can make your own decisions good luck and I need a grandson".
So my story a good example of my above quote "If you love someone, set them free and if they return, it was meant to be".

Hello, hope everyone is doing well..
I have all my pictures saved on my computer, I did not make a photo album for wedding photos.. Is it ok for me to print the photos like regular photos and write place, date and occasion on back of photo once its time for interview? If so can the photos be printed on regular printer paper or do I have to use photo paper? Will the fact that I do not have a wedding photo album be a problem? I was also wondering if I print photos even wedding photos at time at interview with photo material will IO inquire as to why photos are new, if so what would be my best answer?..
Thanks in advance
I suggest that you sign up on shutterfly.com as a new member you will get 50 free prints, you will have the option to choose frames, add caption..etc.. that what my husband and i use we even got a free photo book from them and our pictures are ready for the interview.

Hello er one.... So I have a question for anyone who entered the U.S at JFK coming from jamaica, what will happen when I go thru immigration? Will be a long process? And do you know if I will be able to use my degicel phone to contact my husband of my arrival? Or will they have phone I can use?
Your Digicel wont work except that you sign up for roaming. After you pick up your bags you will proceed to custom after custom you go straight though a big automatic door a lot of people will be standing there with flowers in hand or names written on paper. At that point you can either go left or right.
For my husband and I whenever he is picking me up, I know I should go right, he is right there waiting for me cause he aint standing in that crowd.
And of course if needed you can politely ask someone for a phone call they wont say no.

I called Lime and A supervisor told me she would get back to me on Monday and confirm whether or not I will be able to get a print out with incoming calls as she is not sure about incoming calls.. I will let you know once I speak to them on Monday.. Thanks again Judy.
No problem... lets keep our fingers crossed that this works out!
-
*sigh* I hope not.. I'll do just that.. Thanks again Judy..
Kally,
I just spoke with an old friend of mine (ex Lime employee) he said you should call the Head Office in Kingston at 926 9700 and explain your situation, tell them its for immigration purposes and explain the importance of the records and they will try to assist.
Hope they can come thru on this request....! Let me know what they say.
-
I have learned and thanks to you VJ members for your help and suggestions.. You are right it is now obvious that it is going to be a long process.. I will save as much a I can from now on.. Thanks so much for your suggestions and concern, much appreciated!
Kally,
I dont think they are going to outright deny you,, if they have any doubts or if you do not have a piece of information they ask for they may just request that you provide it or they may hold the case for additional processing so they can do further review of your case.
You husband wont be allowed in the interview but he can certainly accompany you to the interview, but he will have to wait for you in the courtyard. Make sure to tell the IO that he waiting in the courtyard.

We should be able to get affidavits from our friends and family.. We just did not save stuff and I keep beating myself up for that! We had loads of receipts from flowers and jewelry he bought but he gets rid of them after a while.. He does have proof of his trips here, I've never been to the US, I have 2pics ,one with him and my aunt and another with him and one of my sisters, he does not have a facebook and he got skype late 2012 we did converse on their a few times, he usses a landline and calling cards to call my landline most times, he does call my cell sometimes but when I called my carrier and asked for call records they are only able to provide these for the last 3months. When he comes he stays at my house and my aunt who grew me lives here so we should be able to get an affidavit from her also and we do have a restaurant where we go regularly whenever he comes here.. Thanks for your concern..
Kally- Go back to skye and print the whatever records is there and take it with you. If he calls your landline (assuming Lime) I am sure that Lime can provide the record for these calls. If he call your Digi/Lime cell phone you can get more than 3 months of record. I just got from Lime last week my records records from 2012 to present.
-
Kally,
Make sure you have photos, western union receipts, phone records(Digicel/Lime) just call customer service they will instruct you how to get the phone records.
Try and get a joint account with him and get a ATM card with your name on it.
Ask your husband to go in his 'Sent Items' in his email to see if the emails are still there that he sent over the years.(hopefully he did'nt delete those as well).
you should also update your timeline so other members can have an idea of each agency (USCIS/NVC) processing time.
All the best on your interview!

Ava did you hear anything on your case!
-
I actually did not know that I could have emailed them.. Now I wish I had known..
Sammy, if your interview is in Kingston you cannot email the IV as Kingston does not participate in online processing. You can send your IV packet by any courier of choice and get a tracking number and track the package.
NVC will advise 20 days for processing,in most cases it is processed before the 20days that they advise.

I have a relative that was charged with shoplifting in 2009. The court disposition says: Petit Larceny reduced to Disorderly Conduct and my relative pleaded guilty. My relative was also given a year coditional discharge which is has been satisfied. My relative wants to apply for her citizenship but we want to find out if it could be denied because of this charges. Please help us. We don't want to hire an attorney who would probably charge us a lot to summit N400.
Once your relative satisfy the one year conditional discharge, then everything is fine. Your relative must submit a copy of the disposition with the n400. No need for an attorney, the process is simple...

I found the Jamaican Medical Form in my files. I hope that it is still useful due to the recent changes.
Thanks for the information.
-
If you use the email format, some people scan the paper also and send it as an attachment. It's not super vital - most people just send the format, and have no problems.
NVC sent me a copy of the choice of agent as an attachment on the top of the page it has a barcode and my case number exactly below. I believe the barcode and case number is important for processing so thats why I scan and email and it works for me no problems whatsoever.
-
Is this true that you can scan and email?
Yes it is true... I was advised by a customer Service rep at NVC and I did exactly that with no problems and seven days later I got an email that it is accepted. I did also ask if I could email the AOS and she said no since Kingston does not participate in the online processing.
Did not write case number on civil documents. HELP
in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures

No you don't have to put your case # on the civil documents. The cover page that you printed from the payment screen is sufficient
