  1. I got my interview date today finally! I haven't received the notice yet though but my online update let me know about it. I do think USCIS reads the posts here. Wishful thinking maybe. Anyway interview on July 30th. so a month to get my stuff together. I am glad we didn't book that cruise now to be honest.

Congrats and hope your interview goes well.

We filed the same date as you and we are still waiting, EAD/AP received but USCIS status for I-485 still says acceptance since 15th March 2013.

    We also live in Atlanta..

Best of luck for the future.

  2. I'm in the same boat. I was under the impression that Atlanta was backlogged so it wont be until another few months to adjust but now I read in another thread that March filers in Atlanta are not only getting their interview dates but they got their Green cards too. I'm adjusting from H1. Does your visa determine how long you need to wait? When I called them they asked me to make an infopass appointment at my local field office. Which is what I am going to do on July 5th.

    Hi There,

I also file AOS from K1/K2 on 15th March 2013...and live in Atlanta...no RFE received, and just received EAD today...so if March filers in ATL are receiving GC...whats happening to us

    Good luck you all xx

  3. I was petitioned as a fiancée visa last 2011, I got married October 2011 and got my 2 years permanent residency and will going to expired April 2014. but now I have a problem, my husband and I are not in good terms he sent me out of his house, my husband doesn't abuse me physically but I am so scared with him because it seems he has an anger management, the way he acts when he's mad and the words that he throws on me makes me feel so bad, I really don't know what to do..Can somebody help me or have an idea what should I do, Is the U.S. government will going to send me back to may country or I have the right to stay here in the U.S.? thanks!!!

I truly hope you and your Husband can sort things out, its a very big change of lifestyle and culture when you move to another country to be with the one you love and want to spend the rest of your life with....

It will be testing times for you as a person and most of all for your love fo each other....stay strong and men sometimes can be very proud so ladies sometimes have to take the first step...therefore its been 2 weeks and he might be in so much pain missing you but too proud to come forth, so I would say if you started out in love...let love take control and you take the first step for open conversation to rectify this hurdle...

    God bless and good luck

    Let us know ...

  4. As for this part, are you a USC?

Have you stated this to try to feel better about your own behavior?

I'm sorry, but yelling at your significant other is not normal or healthy.

And for those that think it's normal, you're in an unhealthy relationship.

10+ years dating and I've never once been yelled at by someone.

And trust me, it isn't because of my impeccable taste in guys.

Voices might slightly raise due to frustration in feeling like you aren't being understood, but no one has EVER yelled at me.

Except my parents, but that is normal.

I'd be happy to give you some audio examples of unhealthy yelling.

It's my neighbors. And guess what?

The cops have been called on them and the boyfriend isn't even allowed to step foot on this property.

Why? Because it's not normal. At all.

Do not try to justify a behavior that shouldn't be accepted.

That's one reason why women stay in abusive relationships.

Because something is telling them 'it's normal and he didn't really mean it'

Oh I am in agreement with you...and well said...it is not normal and no one should allow this kind of behavior...Male or Female...

  5. Did you change addresses? That is what this notice would imply to me.

Oftentimes (not always) this also means that they are looking at your file and that you should get your approval pretty soon.

    Congrats!

    Hi HK12,

    Thanks for responding

Maybe like you said they are now looking at my file because I havent change address, so I couldnt think of any other reason...finger cross approval should be very soon

    You enjoy your evening

  6. EAD/AP card received today! So happy, now we'll tackle the DMV next!

Btw, should we go to social security and get a new card without the employment restriction on it?

Congrats...on receiving your cards..I am a little late

Not sure what is happening with mine but I receive this update yesterday, they approved my K2 children EAD on the 28 June 2013 but not mine, which I find strange..

Hope you are all in good spirit

Just wanted to find out athere are anyone one here who had the same experience like myself..

We filed for AOS on the 15th March 2013 from K1/K2 Visa, NOA1 received for 3 X I-485 and 3 X I-765, we all had our Biometrics appointment/fingerprint done at the same time. However my K2 children I-765 for EAD was approved on the 31st May 2013 and card received on the 5th June 2013.

  9. Got an email on the 7th of June notifying me that my card was in production. Got another email today, exactly the same thing....hmmm. Hopefully this just means it has been sent?? I hope so as I have a new job that I am supposed to start in a few days and I am hoping to get my card soon. Anyone else had this happen to them? How long did it take you to get your card in hand after receiving the "card in production" email?

    Thanks!!

    Hi

We received an email on the 28th May 2013 that card in production, then same message again on the 31st may....then another message on the 3rd June that package was picked up by USPS with tracking number and should be delivered on th 6th JUNE, we received delivery on th 5th June 2013...

  10. g

Im really worried about deportation. Yes I married my original petitioner. I just dont want to get deported for filing aos a couple weeks after the I-94 expires.

    Hi,

We got married within the 90 days January 2013 ,we filed approx 1 month later March 2013 after I-94 expired..because the cost was so high for myself plus 2 K2 children...I had no problem so far...

I am sure you will be ok...

  11. March 5th sent AOS package

    I-485

    I-765

March 12th received NOA for both

March 18th received appointment letter for Biometric and finger print

April 4th Biometric and finger print taken

April 12th received text message on cell phone that "Your I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS is now ready for interview scheduling. When scheduling is complete, you will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview."

When do you think my Work Permit Card be in the mail?

  12. I found this when I searched on I-94 form. It appears this is very new. Now I do not know if the SSA is up to speed on this new wrinkle that has been added. I would print out this page and take it to the SSA when you go for you SSC and a print out of the I-94 form information.

    Good luck,

    Dave

    Dave,

Good stuff with that link...because this change with electronic I-94 was new to me...

I arrive here in the US on a K1 visa in November 2013 and I have to make sure I keep the copy of my I-94 very safe, so I think electronic must be the way forward...

    Have a great day

  13. We filed my K1 for myself and K2 for my two children in March 2013 all together, sending all the relevant forms

All well until I received an email on the 28th March 2013 stating that our cards are in production for myself and my daughter who is 19 yrs old.

However, when I checked the USCIS website for my son's I-765, it wasnt updated and I didnt received an email advising me that its has been approved - my son is 13 years old....and he also did his Biometrics with us on April 16th 2013.

Does anyone had this experience or know why this has happened. How will I be able to apply for a SSN # for my son..

    Thanks VJC..

  15. Please send us good vibes! I'm a bit of a nervous wreck. I don't suspect we'll have any problem, but of course, all I keep thinking about is a mis-crossed T, or an un-dotted i. UG!

It didn't help that our interview was scheduled just 8 weeks after we applied, haven't even received EAD or AP documents yet. It's a blessing I know, she should have her green card sooner than waiting months and months, but of course it was a scramble to get all the stuff ready, accounts with both our names and all that.

Then just last night realized that my original boarding passes from the first time I visited are still back in Manila, when my wife came, we had two full copies of that K1 stuff, and she brought the one with the 'copies'. I can't imagine they are going to ask to see that original boarding pass, but see, I just keep thinking 'maybe'!

    lol.

I'll be so glad after tomorrow, and hopefully we won't have to deal with them for like two more years!

Best of luck for the future, I am pleased all went well

I am K1 AOS, filed 03/14/13 and we have Biometrics appointment on 04/16/13
