If it hasn't been scheduled emailing serves nothing. It takes two days for a reply. Your best option is calling DOS at (202) 485-7600. They will tell you as soon as your scheduled. You can call everyday as I did lol.

I feel bad, cause many dominican have done many fraud to go usa, and that affect people that try to go usa legal.

I try to go legal with a fiance visa. The problem is that for the interview the petitioner has to be present here, and my fiance can not come here in a couples months.

There are peoples in other country that go to rhe interview alone, but here in the dominican republic they want to see the petitioner.

It is a shame by the bad dominicans .

My fiance is american his parents are american too.

I hope that the day of my interview, i be lucky.

from the initiation of the process to the day you have to get you visa in hand it will be about 9 to 10 months if all goes well.

Give it a week and start calling them.. You give them the uscis # and they will tell you if they have your file as may provide you with the number.

I've known people who attended the interview alone and were given a ticket for when the petitioner could go they both could return together. None were denied but it did delay te timing being that the petitioner needed to be there. After such a stressful process I would not take any chances. Besides look at timelines for DR the majority of us getting the appointments have been scheduled for January 2014.

The interview won't be this year anyway. I filed in March 2013 and my interview is for January 2014. I believe the fiance has to be there.

I was troubled to see that also...I guess we will not know....its a little crazy how everything is done...there is not much info available to us regarding this part of the process....Have you checked the appointment list? Its updated monthly...(I think!)

Girl they list haven't updated that list since August or so. I don't know what's up with those people nowadays!

I wrote it wrong im sorry. My question is. Is It possible to know ur interview date 3 months before the interview? THE DOS. Told me that my packet 4 was sent out on oct 3rd. And then yesterday idk if they got mad at for calling so much and they told me that my interview is on jan 30th ...ever time i call they tell me a different story. I dont know wat to believe now

Yes that's how it is for DR... I found out about my date on 10/12/2013... the interview is for 01/14/2013!!! so yes they give you about 3 months from when it is scheduled until the interview. DOS shouldn't give you the wrong info and they won't get mad because you call. I called everyday sometimes 2 times a day!

I've traveled to DR with a one way ticket.. JetBlue didn't say anything about it. Is that an airline requirement or just international travel policies?

Thank you so much for the well wishes! I had a great time too short to be honest but I went in august and spent 5 days with him. I'm going ti try my best to wait until the interview and go for 10 days in January.

Girl I emailed them y nada. They replied two days later saying that I still don't have an interview scheduled. The only difference is that when I cal DOS now they tell me I'm in cue and that I should have my date soon.

That's not true I filed in March for the K1 visa and my case was approved in august and sent to DR 2 a couple of weeks ago. They say things just to end the call and kind of discourage people.

When it says that the alien reg # has changed it's because they are working on your case.

My fiancee made the trip yesterday to Santo Domingo to do his medical exam and they turned him away because they said it's too far away from his interview (December 5th). So now he has to go back sometime after November 5th to do it.

I called DOS and the lady told that I still have a chance at 2013, I don't believe it but nothing yet.

I checked my e-mail all day hahhah. Of course when I stopped checking because I was on the phone with my boo...it came in.

And I'm so happy but at th e same time it's like I'm scared or maybe its just too anxious. But I'm more then ready for their decision. My heart is screaming APPROVAL lol but I kno I need to stay calm until THEY let me know
