I got my interview date 2 weeks after it was received in DR...

that's encouraging let's see how long it takes.

I think I'm in the right thread...so for the DR how long is the wait for them to recieve my case? And I'm still confused on the whole appt process...can someone with a case in the DR clarify this For me PLZ! i been waiting since the 26th for them to recieve my package is that normal? There's some vj'ers that have theirs recieved in 3 days...ugghh stressing!! Were soo close and yet still so far on this journey

Hello Maria y Ramon! In my case it took 2 days for my case to make it from NVC to DR... Call DOS and find out if it was received, it should be there already if it left the 26th. Remember the 26th was thursday so you had the weekend delaying the delivery. I don't know if it's standard but mine went from Boston to PR then to DR.

This waiting game is highly stressful

Tsc has been working pretty quicky! Within a week you should have reply. The last one i saw was Alex&Iris they got their reply very fast after their long a waited rfe

the color doesn't necessarily matter. I sent mine in black ink and everything was perfect. Some people say to send it in blue so that they know it's original and not a copy. If you send it in black make sure it doesn't look like a copy.

click ctrl+F and then enter you SDO2013 number it will either highlight if you have one scheduled or say 0

How did you check the appointment i read lot of time but i dont know how to do this i will be thankful if you let me know step by step

Hi I'm not sure how it works for applicants from your country, I'm sorry.

I know for my country what I do is go to http://santodomingo.usembassy.gov/immigrant_visas.html which is my country followed by usembassay.gov then I click under visas>immigrant visas>and then click on list of scheduled appointments. When I open the pdf file it has many appointments and I click ctrl+f and then I enter my nvc case number and it tells me whether it's there or not..

I tried looking for it in the Islamabad-Pakistan US embassy but could not find the list. Sorry I'm not of much help. Maybe in Pakistan forums you can find more information.

I received and email from nvc on Monday saying my case was complete and that it was at the US Embassy in SAnto Domingo but my CEAC Status Still reads at NVC... Has anyone experienced this any thoughts on what I should do ????

Hi, same thing happened to us. What we did was call embassay and wrote email regarding that and we paid our fee. Then we got new date which says ready at ceac, and we received email about our interview date. I hope this is helpful

Oh wow.. well I have noticed that they have been scheduling ALOT slower and further out. Alot of December interviews and even January! I hope you hear something soon!

yes it has slowed down but I checked the list and there aren't any appointments there for 2014 as of yet.

I agree with you. The shut down is giving most of us food for though cos it could make a already long process even longer. We cN only pray they re open again soon.

Did you figure it out when the embassy update the interview list?

From what I've gathered its updated the last week of every month.. I've checking the list and it hasn't been updated as of yet. I still have hope that once it is updated a few of us VJ'ers from the same time have a day scheduled.. Con dios en adelante!

Now I'm hoping that the reason it hasn't been updated is because of the US gov't shutdown that would be devastating.

To be honest guys there is a backlog and a waiting time for interviews. At the moment London embassy interview dates are currently taking 6-8 weeks. The best thing to do is to call dos and confirm they have any forms you have sent and if they say they do your job is done all you can do is wait it out for the inter view date to be given to you.

Been CEAC ready since August 28th am still waiting on a interview date to be given. Yet I have done medical and filled out all forms including online DS-260 and I have done police cert. I am good to go but no interview date yet.

I'll take any date I just want to know that I have one! There's a backlog at every level right about now and I don't think this US gov't shut down is of any help either. I just pray a lot that this process is over soon.

When you called and they told you DR received it did they receive it electronically or did DHL send it already? This confused me as well when I waited almost 3 weeks to get my interview date. If you call NVC you can ask and if it was received electronically then keep calling till they tell you they physically received the packet. Your status date should change again then your interview should be scheduled in 2 days. Let us know!! Good luck!

Thanks for your reply! Yes NVC told me that they sent it electronically on the 16th of sep and I know Dhl delivered it on the 19th of sep... Trust me I've been tracking every step of the way. In that case I'm hopeful I will have the date by the end of this week! <fingers crossed>

It happened to my like 3 times, now it has the same status since the 18th. And still nothing....Patients and pray....

Hi all I'm not sure what this implies but I have been trying to get my interview date for the last 2 weeks I know it's soon therefor I need to be patient.

On the 17 of Sep up until yesterday my status read:

READY

Case Creation Date: 13-Sep-2013

Status Updated Date: 17-Sep-2013

I know it was received in DR on 19-Sep-2013

I checked my status this morning and it has changed to:

READY

Why did it change date? I thought maybe my babes interview had been scheduled so I called DOS this morning but I was told there still no date

Can anyone clarify what this might mean?

Last week I called and a customer rep told me that since I had put a servive request and nothing had happened, to email tsc about a follow up. On the 25th my status updated to RFE (again) . And today the 30th I received my RFE FINALLY. After a two month almost 3 month wait.

Thank God its a super simple one.

I forgot to send both of our consents to marry. Ill be mailing them today or tomorrow

I check the list multiple times a day and I call DOS just about every day. I pray that by next week I have a cita scheduled. I know that the end of December is still not full of appointments.
